Afternoon all .

We went for our usual Saturday walk to buy a paper We had only gone a short way when the rain started and it absolutely poured down If I’d known it was going to rain like that we wouldn’t have set off. We only had one small umbrella between us.We got to the shop ,bought the paper but had to pop into the adjoining coffee shop for a reviving coffee to wait for the rain to ease off.Only three other customers there. Usually it’s really busy but everybody else must have seen the weather forecast. Anyway it saved me making coffee once we got back home.
I then continued to sort out some drawers and cupboards. After disposing of the VHS cassettes last week I thought I had more room and started a sort out .I now
have all sorts of stuff scattered over the living and dining rooms. Oh what have I started

After a totally deary, grey and wet day, now the sun appears to be peeking through!
We went to Sainsbury's, and also to buy a replacement rear number plate and wiper blade for my car.
I gave OH reflexology, and now we are just relaxing for the rest of the day and evening.

I hope Daisy is having a good time. I miss her!

Afternoon thought a chat was due before I put on the central heating I’m perished. The car passed the test and now due for a big service, heart failure at £900 May have to shop around the car has only done 4000 miles in a year
we have Dd and family coming for Sunday lunch tomorrow so already made an apple and raspberry crumble, tomorrow lamb, York’s pud, roast potatoes, roast parsnips DD favourite, cabbage and carrots mint sauce , so busy day tomorrow
Next week is the start of pick up Tuesday 👫
Oma the poor dog nothing worse than an itch and you can’t tell them to stop and you can’t explain to them can you
Clover it was forecast, hope you didn’t get too wet, I went food shopping this morning but managed to go between the showers, it must be decluttering day today lots of us are doing it , I have gone through the kids toys and to be honest most of it seems to have gone back, apart from wooden jigsaws and a few cardboard books
Oh my days Gem you could have been killed you need a relaxing day after that 🤦♀️

Qwerty, Tuesdays will be busy day for a few of us! Daisy has school pick up plus doggy class at night. I have school pick up, which is half an hours drive away, and now your pick up It's lovely seeing them come out and look happy to see you, I have always enjoyed school pick ups.
My mum is coming for lunch tomorrow so we are doing a roast too.

We had our roast today , Roast Chicken , Cabbage Carrots Turnip Peas Yorkshire pud and gravy , so stuffed

Well that’s summer done and dusted. OH has packed up the patio table and chairs and has put them away in the shed, I have watched the first episode of Strictly and the Last Night of the Proms. So it’s downhill to winter now !
But I am pleased to announce that we haven’t had to put the heating on yet but I am thinking that my short sleeve pyjamas need to be replaced with the long sleeve ones .

Weather quite good here so I think Daisy will have much about the same, seems strange without her.

Family just popped in to say goodbye, they are off to Corfu tomorrow for a week, lots of instructions for looking after kitten from GD1.

Not doing a roast today,we had one on Thursday. It's not hubbys favourite.

I watched Strictly too Mimi. Not really a fan, but my OH, DDs1 and 2,and GD love it. This year I have given in and decided to watch it. Dr Rang from CBeebies looked cute in his sparkles!
Plant I trust the kitten has grown up and calmed down a bit since you last were in charge of him!

Chilly but sunny morning here. DD3 tells me it is cooling down there too. Still too hot for jeans in the afternoon (So much hotter than here!) but cool towards evening. We will pack layers.

Mum is coming to lunch today. Roast pork.

Kitten wasn't quite sure what to make of me feeding him this morning, he has kitten milk and pouch wet food in the morning and dry food the rest of the time. He will not do his business outside and still needs a litter tray. Yes he has calmed down a bit Gemini and can master most of the trees. He has a cat flap in their utility room which is triggered by his chip but he isn't keen to use it. GD2 remembered last night that she was supposed to pop in to check on GS1's cats yesterday so I have been given a key to do that today also. Call me the cat lady. I am cooking salmon and roasted veg. today for myself and GD2's boyfriend.

I watched Strictly, only know one of the contestants. watched Last Night of the Proms after, really enjoy that. Very dull here atm.

Mimi it is that time of year we looking for outdoor storage for our garden furniture too , no room in shed but we have room down the side for a small storage shed ,

Stripped bed that lot in washer , I ironed fresh bedding yesterday so will re make it later ,
pop out for milk just now then when GS1 get back from his football match will take his Birthday presents down today as wont see him till pick him up from school tomorrow

We have put money in a card and bought him a electric shaver , sounds odd saying that when did he become a shaving young man

Just popped on , the lamb is cooking to be honest I don’t like the smell of lamb cooking it’s a bit strong I always think, love the smell of beef cooking but I’m sure it will taste fine , it’s DD and sil favourite not my choice .
The other half of my family are at the Caravan

Plant - Yoooh hoooo! I'm back. In theory I should have been able to get online at the caravan site but for some reason (Possibly because we were right by a tall hedge/windbreak) there was no signal... It's a lovely warm, sunny day here - we got back a couple of hours ago and have emptied the caravan and had a late lunch. I'll write about our trip in my Journal later - we had a good time, but it's nice to be back!

I plan to sit down with my iPad and possibly a little glass of wine, to catch up with all your posts this evening.
