Lovely to hear abut the grandchildren's visit Oma, but sad about little GD being upset to leave.

      Afternoon all.

Oma lovely for you to have the 3 together but it must have broken your heart to leave the little one sobbing.

Plant hope you find the perfect present. I don’t have much experience of John Lewis as we don’t have one locally. There is one where my DD lives but whenever I go in there without DD I get completely lost. It has about three entrances and two floors with several little offshoots like separate shops so I get totally confused.

Oma, I feel sad for your GD. She obviously loves you and Grandad and enjoys spending time with you. Let’s hope things change for all your sakes. Xx The new kitten has already worked out who’s a soft touch! LOL

Plant, no OH won’t be cross about the compost bin. He’s been saying for ages that he needs to make a new one for it! I hope you enjoyed your day in JL. There’s so much to see. It’s one of the few shops I enjoy browsing in.

Mimi I hope kitty has recovered from her trip to the vets.

GD2’s teacher visited this morning along with a TA. I kept Cooper in the garden out of the way, but the teacher clearly loved dogs and was happy to have a cuddle! I don’t think the TA was quite so keen when 30-odd kg of excited Viszla introduced himself! The comment about GD2 was “she’s very confident”! I remember the playgroup leader saying that about her Dad many years ago! 🤨

This afternoon we’ve been playing hide and seek. There aren’t many places in the average hous where a not-very-bendy grandma and a bouncy puppy can hide! I got foun£ in double quick time every time!,

Off to pick up GD1 soon then a quick dash home and off to dog training!

I found what my Dil wanted in JL it was an hanging washbag. Had a tea and a scone with GD and I bought a lime green cashmere cardigan. I was looking for something to wear to my birthday lunch in October and would come in for Christmas as well, plenty of time yet. I said to my GD that after all my years I still don't really have a style, my wardrobe seems to be a bit of a mish mash. When I buy something like a jumper (that is my weakness) I ought to buy something to make it an outfit but I just think I must have something in the wardrobe to go with it. My Dil mainly wears black but my daughter wears colourful clothes, I love her style.

Hope it goes well for OH tomorrow, Qwerty.

An eventful day here! We popped out to do some shopping this morning, when we got home I saw I had a missed call from SIL, then I had a text from DD to say she had come home from work and were waiting for an ambulance formSIL! He has been suffering with a bad back for a few days, went to our doc who prescribed pain killers for muscle spasms. To cut a long story short, themhospital were concerned that there was a problem with the nerves in his spine, he was in a lot of pain and had numbness too. Eventually however they concluded that in fact he had a compacted disc, something he has had before. Relief all round as they were muttering about paralysis. He’ll be off work for a bit and has to rest but then build up the surrounding muscles, but relieved it isn’t anything worse. Phew!!

                    Good morning ladies

Your cardigan sounds very nice Plant.
Aww, it must have been an emotional day, your little ones starting school at last Qwerty. Never fear, there are at least 12 weeks a year of school holidays, and I bet you will be looking after them for a lot of those
Nan2, I don't blame you forgetting about the ironing!
Poor SIL Enfys. A relief that it is not more serious though. Families!
It sounds as though your GD's home visit went well Daisy.

Today we are taking my auntie out for lunch. I say we are taking her, we almost have to wrestle with her for us to be allowed to pay when it is our turn! She would pay every time if we let her

Have a good day everyone, and happy caravaning Daisy!

Just a very quick hello and 'bye for now' from me! OH wanted to leave at 9.30, I thought 10.30 was more reasonable, so 11 o'clock isn't really late, is it!!

I can't remember if this camp site has wi fi or not, but I'll look in when I can.

In the meantime, be good, ladies!!! xxx

Oma, I slip off and pay without auntie seeing as much as I can, but she has started watching us like a hawk for signs of purses!

OH has won at golf twice in a week! Another £50 in her bar/shop account, and cup to collect on award night 😊

Have a great time Daisy. Don't worry about us , just tell us all about it when you get back!

Afternoon one and all, here a bit earlier it’s been the strangest day, because g/c came Monday I was able to tidy up Tuesday and today I have for the first time watched This Morning and Loose Women since about 2011 not that I shall make a habit of it as I don’t want t to appear sad 😀 OH has gone to therapy, managed a chinwag with my neighbour over coffee ,got some ironing done and and a few other chores and am cooking a ham in the oven smells divine . I have started taking folic acid again and am feeling tip top well nearly !
OH is taking his car in for service so might take him shopping tomorrow 🤔whilst he’s waiting it’s a shopping mall just round the corner
Daisy hope you enjoy the break and you get those batteries recharged
Nanto and Gem enjoy the company whether it be lunch or tea and cake it’s good to have company
Well done to S on the golf 🏆🏅
Sorry to hear about your neighbours dad , it’s sad when a parent dies 😢

                                Good afternoon all.
I was inspired by the knitting thread that was started a few days ago so while I was in town this morning I brought some chunky wool from one of the stall holders at the outdoor market. I am planning to make a scarf/wrap/cowl. I will update on the knitting thread ...well when I eventually start it still very busy in the garden at the moment. Yesterday I potted on 72 autumn/spring plants that arrived by post . They are a mixture of wallflowers, pansies and primroses.
While we were in town we popped to M and S for a coffee, my word you have to fight for a seat in the cafeteria, little old ladies can be very ferocious when challenged. We were lucky to come out alive . Never again said OH , we’ll take our chances with the younger people in the modern cafe shops !

Daisy have a lovely time at the camp site ....that’s if you can see us that is...

Enfys hope SIL’s back gets better soon.

What is all this talk about the hot flat hissy thing ? I did mention last week I had some to do but I talked myself out of it but I must tackle it tomorrow...perhaps...

                                Have a nice afternoon ladies
Bring me sunshine in your smile.
