Daisy I do agree about the food situation. I always end up with lots to eat up and you can be sure someone will ask for something I haven’t got.

Gem good for you just relaxing I hope you feel better for it.

Ladies - I'm pleased to confirm that I haven't caught Gem's sore throat and cold. I know we work closely on GRU, but that is one virus that hasn't spread! But thank you all for the concern and good wishes!

Gem - the lazy restful day is just what you needed. xx

Plant - What a lovely way to celebrate GS's first legal pint.

Mimi - I hope the gathering of (most of) the clan went well and you're able to get a good night's sleep.

I got quite a bit done today - prepping dog food and cooking liver for dog treats, helped OH with some stuff on his computer (I won't moan about Windows - but I could!) then after lunch my friend M popped round for a few minutes none the worse for her adventure on Thursday night, although she doesn't know yet when her front door will be fixed. With the sun shining so nicely I had the rest of the afternoon in the garden. I cut the lawn and trimmed the edges, put one of those plant support cage thingies round the Phlox, which are shooting up already. Cut out the edges of a new grass path I'm growing and some general weeding. In between, I shoved things in and out of the oven for a roast tonight. There will be plenty of chicken for the GDs to have for lunch tomorrow - chicken and chips is a favourite.

Good morning Nan2, Oma and everyone.

I hope the bathroom lock can be sorted Oma.

Thanks for all the good wishes everyone.
I spent a lot of the night coughing up gunk (sorry!!) so I am hoping things are going to improve now. I don't feel too bad this morning, yesterday's rest day and early night did me good. DD1 who started with this before me still isn't well though
All I really have to do today is one hours treatment this afternoon (plus driving to and from the client, getting stuff in and out of the car etc) I can manage that, and I am past any infectious stage by now. I have warned him, and he is happy for me to go.
This morning one of our friends is going to help OH with spreadsheets, for golf purposes. I will go along too, but try to keep quiet as the voice is still a bit croaky!

Have a good Monday ladies. I think Qwerty may be back from Spain now?

Good Moaning Each from a very wet and miserable part of Essex!
Glad you are on the mend Gem.
Nothing thrilling here, cards this afternoon though and that is always jolly.

                      Good morning.
                      Overcast here.

Oma yes thank you,G’s ankle is showing some improvement.

I’m hoping to pop into town for a couple of hours later on now that G can hobble to the loo on his own.

Whatever you’re up to I hope your day is a good one.

Very miserable here, no bowls today as our fit male players who usually put out the mats are either on holiday or recovering from ops. Slept late so only just had breakfast, out this evening so might just go with the flow or go to JL and look at fridges.

Pleased to hear the poorly ones are feeling a bit better and G's foot is on the mend.

Hope the bathroom lock can be repaired Oma.

Good morning all. Lovely sunny and warm here. I have a line of washing out and we have just cut the grass, so much easier this time so I didn’t need to ask for any help. Rain is forecast for tomorrow so,I wanted to,get it done.

The chap who is going to pressure wash and repair our decking came round and he is starting on Wednesday, weather permitting, it will be so good to get it done.

After lunch, chicken curry, I have a couple of crochet projects I need to finish off, so I will be either in the conservatory or outiside in the sunshine. I’m saying that is what I have planned but I might nod off 😴

Hope you are all having a good day and that anyone poorly feels better soon.

A little bit late to say 'good morning, everyone', but the usual Monday madness has kept me away from the computer. Enfys - it's nice to see the sun, although it was still very misty coming across the Forest about 10.30. It's nice to get out in the fresh air, though, isn't it! What are the crochet projects?

Plant - what a pity your bowl is cancelled, but going with the flow sounds bliss.

Clover - I'm glad to hear G's foot is improving. Tell him to take it easy though - no playing football yet. It will do you good to get out for a while. xx

Gem, I'm pleased you're on the mend, but take it easy as much as you can. xx

Oma - I hope the lock can be fixed.

Grauntie - what card games do you play?

Nanto - the graphic is a cheery start to the week.

The GDs are excited to be on holiday, but GD2 isn't a happy bunny about having drops in her eye so was delighted that Grandma forgot to bring them with her this morning! We've just recovered from World War III. GD2 was trying to turn GD1 into a monster by hitting her on the leg with a slinky! She nearly succeeded - GD1 was on the verge of being an angry monster with a sore leg!! High level negotiations followed and finally a declaration of peace was celebrated with chocolate biscuits and grapes! Eva and Cooper are behaving very nicely!

Ola!!!!! Ladies this is short and sweet , I will write in my journal when I have more time, but we’ve had a lovely week away brought home a tan and lots of info to read. OH is really keen to give it some thought .
We arrived home quite late so very tired and mum came to pick Eldest up from her trip with us , and at 8 this morning we had the twins plus sleepover tonight and all day tomorrow so we were thrown on the deep end ,but it was something we commited to before the trip was even thought of .
I seemed to have missed a few birthdays I’m sorry about that, to be fair I’ve face timed the family most days and not really used the internet , when your staying with folk you don’t like to be on the phone all the time and it wasn’t a very good WiFi
I doubt I will get through the amount of post I have on my iPad but will try that’s all I can promise, taking the twins swimming now 😱 will speak soon
