Oh what a shame you were so cold Plant. Good for you for writing to them about it.

Yes GS belongs to the younger age group class of the drama group at the theatre that he performed at yesterday (the main theatre in our town)

      Good morning all
      Very,very windy here

I hope WG is getting on well.

Gem your GS must have plenty of confidence to perform. My GC are the same. I could never do it.

Plant what a shame you were so cold. Not what you expect in a theatre.I bet they were inundated with complaints and rightly so

Oma all housework done..I’d love a browse round Matalan. I’m afraid that’s the price we pay for living in such a lovely place as we do,no easy access to the big out of town shops, especially as we now have no car.

I’ve think I’ve finally done everything I needed to do re. the car going. DVLA notified and acknowledged with a small rebate on the tax. Also I spoke to a lovely lady yesterday to cancel the Insurance. As I was cancelling for medical reasons I didn’t have to pay a cancellation fee. Also some money back on that. When I told the lady why I was cancelling she was so kind and told me to make sure I looked after myself. Made me think she had some degree of personal experience.

      Enjoy your day

Good morning everyone. It's blowing a gale here and one of our fences has come down. We were looking at it yesterday and saying it needed a couple of new posts. It's become more urgent overnight!!

I was really tired after a lovely day our yesterday and we've only just got up! So out first job it to try and prop up the fence and then I need to get on with housework. We're still talking about new stair and landing carpet - OH likes to think about these things for a while. I think he hopes I'll forget all about it. He doesn't see the need for things like new carpets, bless him.

Gem - what a lovely teacher to take up part of her Saturday to see GS1's play. He must have been so proud to have her there.

Plant - glad you enjoyed The Mousetrap, but it sounds as though they were a bit over enthusiastic with the atmospherics!

Clover - it is nice to live in such lovely places, but as you say some facilities aren't easy to get to. But it you want to go somewhere special why not treat yourself to a taxi from the money you save not running the car? I'm so pleased the difficult phone calls were with nice kind people who obviously understand how hard it is. I think many people have been touched by the awfulness of Alzheimer's. Sending hugs. xxx

This wind is spooking Eva. She keeps trying to climb on my lap while I'm typing, and she's a tad too big for that!!

WG - I hope you're feeling a bit better today. xx

Thank you all for your kind thoughts! Am back home now after an operation which was more difficult than anticipated. However it's done and hopefully the pain will go with the help of medication. Don't like this being unable to get on and do things though!
enjoy your Sunday ladies whatever you're up to !

                    Good morning all.

Welcome home WeeGranny, now take it easy and follow drs instructions to the letter.

Plant sitting in the cold is no joy when you are supposed to be enjoying an evening out.

Fed up with this wind now, there is a tree down just down the road from us, its a good job we live in a crescent so no one is unable to get about. Thankfully its just lying in the road so no damage to life and property.

Got a busy day tomorrow , hairdresser in the morning and then check up at the drs in the afternoon.

                    Have a good day everyone
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

We are back home. Had a nice time, weather pretty good, sunny and dry yesterday, a bit windy today. P did very well, a fair bit of walking and is now dozing in the chair. Feel very relaxed now.

Hope you make a speedy recovery WG. What a nice lady to help you Clover, doesn’t it make a difference when someone is so kind.
