Busy day indeed Gemini but most days are like that for you.
WG hope you are feeling more with it after a nights sleep.
Enjoy your birthday lunch at DS & Dil's Daisy. You could have had my bird feeding station Daisy as I have had to stop feeding the birds because of the rats.
Off to the theatre to see The Mousetrap with my Guiding friends this afternoon, my DD is going to take us and fetch us thank goodness, it isn't far but the parking during the day is impossible and it is a multi-storey car park which I hate. We are having lunch there.
          Have a good day everyone.

Good morning all, I've just come back for a walk , you wouldn't know by looking at me would you

Oma you are as bad as me with this painting malarkey. I was just going to gloss paint the one side of the doors but I ended up doing both sides … and the radiators in all the rooms.

Wee Granny how are you feeling today

Enfys I hope its not as windy in Devon as it is here .

Daisy that poem must have passed me by, I have never heard of it. It sounds lovely

Have a good day everyone and don't get blown away
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

                Back from shopping,everything put away.
Went to The Money Shop for some Euros, and they didn't have any.
The lady said it's because head office do the ordering now,but they don't know what they are doing.
Hubby will be in town during the week,so he will pop in then.
We always use The Money Shop, because you always get a better rate.

Mimi - here it is in full

                  The Land of Counterpane
                  by Robert Louis Stevenson
When I was sick and lay a-bed,
I had two pillows at my head,
And all my toys beside me lay,
To keep me happy all the day.

And sometimes for an hour or so
I watched my leaden soldiers go,
                  With different uniforms and drills,
                  Among the bed-clothes, through the hills;

And sometimes sent my ships in fleets
                  All up and down among the sheets;
Or brought my trees and houses out,
                  And planted cities all about.

I was the giant great and still
                  That sits upon the pillow-hill,
And sees before him, dale and plain,
                  The pleasant land of counterpane.

I don't know why I had learned it off by heart - I think it's just the rhythm of the words I liked, plus the imagery of the bed covers as hills, sea and cities.

                  Qwerty - I hope you're having a lovely time with GD1 having a sleepover.

Plant - did you enjoy The Mousetrap this afternoon. Thank you for the offer of the feeding station. We ended up with one which looks much the same as the old one! Rats are such pests - we get them sometimes and I stop feeding the birds or using the compost heaps for kitchen waste for a while.

Mimi dear, you DO look a little wind blown!

Oma - I think glossing is hard work - you're a glutton for punishment!

We had a lovely time at DS and DIL's. It's always great to see them all.

Good morning, and its a wet one.

Lovely poem Daisy, but i've never heard it before.
Glad you had a good time with family.

Oma,eldest grandaughter has light grey carpets all through her house.
We looked at some grey ones yesterday,it seems to be a very popular choice at the moment.

Qwerty, i bet GD enjoyed her sleepover.

Good morning Nan2 and everyone else.

It rained a lot during the night Nan2, but I think it has stopped (for now)
Oma, when we were choosing our stair carpet we were amazed how many greys there are! We brought 5 or 6 samples home to try, and there were lots more.
I hope Plant enjoyed the play, and WG is doing well.

GS1 did very well in his play. Grandpa (flaky and unreliable more than half the time) didn't turn up. Mummy, myself and his teacher were there. I had never met her, as she only teaches him on Thursday and Friday and I have never picked him up on those days. She is a lovely lady, and expressed an interest in seeing E's play so DD got her a ticket. He waved at the 3 of us a lot Apart from that he did really well though, and enjoyed it immensely!
I had lunch out with DD and GS, then on the way home shopped for auntie and delivered that to her. Last night we had tea with GS at his house and looked after him until 10ish when DD got back from her night out.
Today I must type up the minutes while I can still make sense of them, and go to see mum. Tonight we are eating out with friends.

I hope everyone has a good Sunday.

Very, very windy here, nothing planned, I will get the last cupboard sorted today.
We enjoyed the performance of The Mousetrap very much. It was slightly marred by the fact that cold air was blowing on us in the stalls, Most people in the audience were putting their coats back on, padded ones! The cold air was so strong it made my eyes water and my nose was very cold. I gather someone complained in the interval and was told an engineer would do something but nothing changed. It took me ages to get warm when I got home. Needless to say I have sent an email off complaining.

Sounds like your GS enjoyed taking part in his play. Is it a drama group he belongs to?

Oma, it is years since I wielded a paint brush but I was hopeless when I did

Wonder how Enfys is enjoying the break, hope it isn't so windy where they are.

Was WG hoping to go home today?
