Ladies I flagged very quickly , by 11 I wanted to sleep so I haven't done much this afternoon apart from Book Birmingham hotel room

Oma - I'm glad I've only just read about what you did before the streets were aired this monring. If I'd read it at 9.30 I think I would have given up and gone back to bed!

Gem - well done on the amount of weight you've lost. Those three pounds will quickly disappear again.

Libra - I bet your OH was delighted to see Matt!

Enfys - The WCS sounds amazing, giving exactly the right type of support. Tai Chi is supposed to make you feel serene, isn't it. I'm sure you will enjoy it.

Plant - an exciting day for the family today. I hope the move went smoothly. I remember when we once had to move into temporary accommodation and put our stuff in storage it was OK until I was getting ready for a smart do one night, and realised the smartest shoes I had to wear with a smart dress were my dog-walking shoes!!


It was definitely one of those days, but not in the way I expected. DIL2 was in the shop on her own today and was expecting an important order to arrive. But it didn't. Somehow or other it had got returned to the post sorting office, which by then was closed! The parcel would have to wait until tomorrow. I called in on my way to collect the girls from school, and she happened to notice a postman on the far side of the recreation ground opposite the shop. I minded the shop while she ran over there, and he agreed to go round the back and retrieve the parcel for her. So by the time she was back I had about 5 minutes to do the 10-15 minute walk to school. Phew, just made it before GD2 was sent to the office. We then went and spent a lovely 10 minutes on the school's Library bus while she swapped her reading book, picked up GD1 and walked back to the shop for my car. I really do need to get fitter!

What a nice surprise for your OH Libra.

A little wind here, some sun, no rain (so far!!)
The bedding and towels for our cat sitter are in the wash. She is sensitive to some washing liquids so likes us to wash her things on a short wash in plain water. It seems weird to take perfectly clean items from the shelf and wash them in just water!
A busy day but a nice one for me. Meeting my friend M for lunch and a catch up. Then onto GS1's school and take him home. From there, once SIL gets in from work, on to to a pub where I am being taken for a belated birthday meal by my 3 DDs

Surprise, surprise...it’s pouring with rain again. Thunder storms are predicted later, looks like I won’t get the grass cut today.

Off to hairdressers in a few minutes then to the supermarket, so just an ordinary day today. Hope everyone has a good day ☔️

Its a lovely day here ,
I have managed to hoover the garden , clean paintworks down , dead head the flowers , and clear the leaves away down the side of the shed where we keep the bins ,

The dog hasn't ate much he's lying in the shade its too warm for him

At least if it rains tomorrow I know the garden is tidy
Hope you manage to get the grass cut Nanto while you have the chance .

Enfys did you manage to get your hair cut and not get wet ? I hate when I come out of the hairdressers and have to make a dash for the car

Afternoon ladies,dull and wet here. We went to Newton Abbot to do some chores and popped into Wilko for a browse. Came back and as we had time to wait for the country bus had lunch in Morrisons, relaxing with a cuppa and 2 paracetamol as have a mega headache. Better weather tomorrow I hope fed up with constant rain 😡

Weather been lovely today. Got the grass cut.
It looks lovey, even though i say so myself.

Had a lovely surprise visit from DS1 and GD2.
Been sat in the garden all afternoon.
All of us had tea and cakes.

Another rainy day , when will we get some sunshine. !

Its been a busy day . First point of call was the doctors. Long story... short.
Was advised by the pharmacist to see my GP for treatment for migraines as , I’m sure you know , I’ve not been able to buy any migraleve for some considerable time .
He has given me some tablets that will hopefully stop the nausea and pain. If they don’t work I have to go back and he will try something else.
While I was there he looked up the results of my X-ray on my feet, ( done ages ago but I didn’t chase it up as I assumed that I would be contacted if a follow up was needed) The long and short of it is on both big toes have bone rubbing on bone and they are becoming bent. He said at the moment there isn’t anything than can be done apart from pain management.
I told him walking any distance is painful and he said to go back if it becomes worse.
Then I asked him about my antidepressants that I am taking, he said to carry on and we will review the situation in the spring, he said, .... spot the pattern emerging here.... to go back and see him in March .
All I went to see him for was for my migraines!

OH was with me so we went on into town to pick up our wedding rings from the jewellers that need to be resized. His needed to go up one size mine was up three sizes, arthritis in the fingers is the cause of that. Mine hadn’t come back from the workshop but OH ‘s was there. They had done an amazing job, the ring now looks new .
I have left mum’s gold charm bracelet with them , the clasp is broken, they are going to get me a quote for the repair and for the cleaning of it. In July they have a jewellery valuator coming to the shop and hopefully I will find out how much it is worth.
I’m not going to sell it, I’m just interested in the value of it. Mum was always insistent that I had it and not my so called brother ( hate to even speak his name ) as he would have sold it in a flash.
I will be passing it on to my DD as I know she will never sell it , she will take great care of it.

We then had a spot of lunch in town, it wasn’t very nice, won’t be going there again. After that popped to Debenhams as OH wanted a new shirt and I brought a new handbag..... well there was a sale on.... be rude not to !


Enfys how did the Tai Chi go, I wouldn’t mind trying that.


Nan2 how did you manage to sit in the garden, it’s been too wet here . It sounded lovely, sat outside, tea , cakes and the company of your DS and GD. Who could ask for more.

Ladies if we all wish hard enough do you think we might get some sunshine, it’s worth a try .
