I like the sound of your bedroom colour choice Plant. It sounds a good bowls afternoon!
That poor lady Clover, thank goodness she is recovering.
Oma, how are B's hearing aids going?
    Mimi, I love risotto.

We had a lovely day, getting out and about in the sunshine. We drove to Bempton only to find that now they charge £5 each to walk on the cliffs! Its big bird nesting area, so I think they use the money to benefit the birds in some way. Still we thought it was a lot especially with no senior discount!
We declined to spend a tenner to walk along a cliff, so we drove to Flamborough and had a bit of a walk but it was so wet and muddy on the cliffs that it was slippery so we didn't go far. We had a sit on a bench and enjoyed the sea view.
We then drove round to Bridlington, where we had lunch and had a good walk around and on the pier. We treated ourselves to an ice cream before heading back. It rained on the way home , so we feared that our washing would be wet on the line when we got home, but it was perfectly dry

Ooo Gem, we haven't been to Flamborough for years.

Gem - what a lovely day, despite the change of location for your cliff walk!

Plant - that sounds a very restful colour for a bedroom. Well done on your bowls today.

Clover - I love chocolate brownies - but Oh doesn't so I never make them. Well I've have to eat every last one of them myself wouldn't I........errr.... that's not a bad idea!! How awful, that poor lady. You wouldn't think such a tiny scratch could cause so much trouble.

Nanto - you make such lovely tasty meals!

Mimi - risotto - yummy! You've done well with your gardening today - I'm quite envious. Our garden gets bits of sun throughout the day, but at this time of year it's fleeting as the sun is still too low in the sky, so everything is behind.

I've put up a photo from GD2's assembly.

I've had a yo-yo day today. Going backwards and forwards all the time. First thing I went to GD2's school for her assembly. Then I went and picked up Cooper from their house (DS2 is off work with back problems) and went home. Then I went to see a lovely neighbour who is moving away to be nearer to her son. By then it was time for an early lunch, as I had to take Cooper back to his house, before going to pick GD2 up (you're not allowed to take dogs into the playground) and walked back to the shop with her to get my car to take her home to daddy. It's impossible to park near the school unless you're about an hour early! Drove back into town and walked down to pick GD1 up from gymnastics. Took her back to the shop to get the car and take her home, had a quick cuppa and eventually got home about 5.30! My phone tells me I walked 4.7 km, just doing the school runs!

Hopefully DS2 will be back in work tomorrow and I won't have to do the school run - and it's just the one pick up anyway, so not too bad! I need an early night. LOL

                Good morning Nan2 and ladies.

OH is heading for the golf course.
I am going to walk into the village this morning to go to the bank and library. I will take my Kindle and have coffee in my favourite coffee shop too.
GS1 to pick up from school this afternoon. I will cook tonight's meal and make some soup before I set off for him.

                Have a good one everyone.

Sunny here today. We collected two new chickens on Sunday a Black Rock called Becky and an Ancona which is black and white speckled called Anna. The grandsons were all very excited to meet the new girls, and now each gs has his own chicken. They love to collect the eggs and feed them when they are here. We’re off to Paris on Friday for the weekend so have got to iron some posh bits to pack as we’re having a special 40th anniversary celebration for our dearest friend who will be accompanying us.

Lovely pic. Daisy, well done young lady.

Enjoy your walk Gemini, I expect you will bump into folks on your walk to the village. I must walk up to the pond when the weather gets warmer and pop into the cafe.
I am going to the cinema this afternoon with a neighbour/friend to see Fishermen's Friends, we are going on the bus (I am not keen)but I don't drive into town. We shall pop into M&S and have lunch first.

                        Have a lovely day folks.

                            Good morning everyone.

Nanto - I wish my little potting shed looked like that! Nanto - it sounds as though you're all organised and ready to go.

Gem - that sounds a lovely day - nice things to do and not too busy.

Avo - your GSs will always remember what fun it was helping with the chickens! My BIL kept them when our sons were young, and they used to love helping, and the eggs were always known as Uncle D's eggs!!! They still remember how much better they tasted than eggs from the supermarket. Have a wonderful time in Paris. Congratulations to your friends on their anniversary.

Plant - I hope you enjoy the film. Driving in town centres is no fun, is it!

DS2 is back at work today, so a lot less running round for me. I'm going to cook for lunch time so we can just have a sandwich tonight when we're both rushing to go out.

                            Have a good day everyone.

Nan2, its lovely when everything is in order and you just have to go
Plant, I didn't actually see anyone I knew this time! I often do. Enjoy your afternoon.

This morning my cat was showing signs of cystitis again including blood. The 3 days of treatment wears off today. I got an appointment at the vet for her this afternoon. Fortunately as GS has after school computer club I don't pick him up until 4, so it will fit in.

GS2 phoned my when I was out. They are doing a weeks intensive potty training, and he wanted to tell all about his potty usage We had a little video chat while I sat on bench outside the church.
