GJ - Rhys just keeps on being one amazing little boy. You must be so proud of him - that's such an achievement. I do hope his legs are ok tomorrow. xxx

    Well done to Rhys

Yesterday DD told me that a few days previously she had fallen down the last few stairs. GS saw, and was in tears. DD assured him she was fine, thinking he was upset for her.
'But I'll have to wait even longer for my pancakes! ' he wailed!

Oh, Gem, you can understand him being so worried, he was hungry, bless him. I do hope your DD is ok.

'I only wash my face on special occasions'

We had GD, 6, to stay overnight this week as it was half term. The morning that she was leaving she wanted to watch some Horrible History episodes on TV. One episode mentioned washing once a year, or something similar. GD told me that she cleaned herself every other day. I told her that yes, she had a bath or shower every other day now she is older, but that she washed hands, face etc each day. She told me that she never washed her face! I said that of course she did! Her reply was ' well, I only wash my face on special occasions' ! She did grin afterwards, as though she realised that it was a silly comment

I wonder just how special an occasion has to be before a face should be washed?!

Gem - that made me smile! When is a special occasion a special occasion. A relative by marriage of ours used to keep an eye out for an elderly gentleman who was quite nomadic and occasionally did odd jobs in the garden for her in return for a meal, or a night sleeping in an outbuilding etc. But she always gave him his Christmas dinner - on condition he had a bath first! I think it was an annual event for him. I'm quite sure your GD isn't waiting for Christmas!!!!

Gem that's very witty judging by the grin.
