Nana - you were wise not to get two cocker pups at the same time. I love Rusty and Clyde (our Yorkie twins) to bits, but training two puppies brought its own challenges!

Oma - I've never had a husky, but I do remember all the stories of the destruction Storm caused when he was younger. I'm glad he's settled down - and your DD's house is still standing. LOL

Our DS2 and family are thinking about getting a puppy (they lost their beautiful Midge-dog in March) but they have a very tiny house and garden, so have to take that into account.

When annoyed by a fly the other day GS1 told me 'Grandma, you need to get some of that spray that mummy has which sends flys to sleep'

He'd be horrified if he knew the real result!!

Our little ones can't stand flies, the other day our twin M was asked what she was having for breakfast she replied to mummy I don't know I havnt ordered yet !

Qwerty - that's priceless, bless her!

GD2 can't stand insects flying round and she can get quite panicky about it, so she very dramatically shouts "fly away fly" or "buzz off bee" or "whoosh off wasp". She can't yet banish hover flies - she thinks they're wasps!

Today DD1 posted this account on FB

E is in training to be a spin doctor I think. This morning, 6am:
              E: urgh Mummy there's a problem
              Me: oh?
E: actually Mummy I'm going to say this differently. Mummy, I've got good news!
              Me: what is it?
E: there's only a LITTLE bit of wee on the bed
              Runs off grinning

Apparently his mummy had been talking to him about the fact that the way we say things can be as important as the words we say. He was obviously listening

                          10.30 feet
                          '
When GS and I were having lunch in town today, one of his mummy's friends happened to be there with her MIL, and children.
When we left one of the little girls was going for school shoes so a discussion on feet size ensued.
'I have 10.30 feet!' announced GS.
A few minutes after after obviously thinking about it he corrected himself and told us actually had size 10 and a half feet. The other lady and I said we quite like 10.30 feet

Before the '10.30 feet' remark yesterday GS was talking about the little bear he got with his meal.
It was white, so he told me that it was a polar bear, and that they hide their black noses to confuse predators.
'Predators, that's a good word!' I said (bearing in mind he is only 4) He looked at me and said 'Well Grandma, I didn't make it up. It was already a word'
