Forgot to say we were sitting last night watching TV I looked out of the window and there was our postman delivering mail,
    It was 7.15 ,
What happened to early morning deliveries,
I didn't think the postman worked that late.

Wow Oma, what a lucky Mil, I hope she appreciates it, (pigs might fly!) Thanks for the chats and encouragement when I was unable to get onto GransRus, fingers crossed it stays that way

        Good Thursday morning, everyone.

Nanto, I bet your OH is like mine - he's got tools and stuff I wouldn't know what to do with. But everything has a purpose, and he always knows how to use them. As always your meals for the freezer sound delicious. I hope your lawn dries out enough to cut it. It's a job I quite enjoy, but I'm grateful to our neighbour for getting our overgrown patch to a level our puny little mower can manage.

Gem, I know you know this, but do be careful with your hip. I know it's near impossible with an excited tot but you're very good at finding suitable activities for your GCs. White wine is a good choice if it's going to get spilled. . I hope both DD3 and your OH are feeling ok after their treatment this week.

Oma, our post doesn't come until afternoon, but yours was very late! Perhaps they were short staffed. Our postman's van broke down on Tuesday. OH and another neighbour managed to push start him, but it meant he had to go straight back to the Post Office, so a lot of mail wouldn't have been delivered. I hope MIL is in a good mood. The meals you make for her sound delicious, so I hope she appreciates them.

Plant, it's great to see everything is working again. I did miss seeing you on here. How are your GD and H? I hope things are working out ok for them.

We overslept this morning. It was nice not having to set the alarm. OH is in the garden sorting out the summer house doors. He's made new parts to replace the rotted ones and now just has to fit them and repaint. I'm having my hair cut after lunch. I think I'm going to have it a bit shorter in the hope it will be easier to manage.

MIL was good again but it's hard work shopping with her ,she has us all over the shop instead of doing it methodically,up and down the isle she has us back tracking on ourselves.

It was so warm I had to take my coat off , it's a lovely day

Oma, does MIL have a written list? If so I'd reorganise it so you don't have to keep retracing your steps. It must be hard work pushing her wheelchair round, and in and out of other shoppers and their trolleys.

I've had my hair cut to just below ear level, and even OH approves!

I seem to be pottering round and not doing anything useful, so I'll take Eva out into the Forest for her swim/paddle. It's too nice to stay indoors.

Daisy, I was going to say something similar! If you had MIL's list Oma you could organise the route around the shop!

              Enjoy the fresh air Daisy.

Little E was outside most of the morning at nursery so has opted to stay inside this afternoon.
All the washing dried very well on the line today.

Daisy, it is good to have OH’s approval of your new hair cut. I expect ike mine the garden is starting to grow now the weather has improved but we have to be aware of late frosts.

Oma, thank you for keeping me in touch, I almost threw the towel in. Unlike you I am not good with change, just had my kitchen doors replaced a few years ago. I have my shopping delivered now but unfortunately I do get things wrong so I write it and DD types it into Waitrose shopping and a very nice young man delivers it.

Unfortunately MIL will only have a list if she isn't going with us,
She just points and we have to go where she wants,
We tried taking her up and down the aisles but she grumbled and complained so much it was easier to let her have her own way .

I'm so glad your finally back on ,
I knew you would get there eventually 😁

E will have been all played out and needed a quieter indoors this afternoon

B and myself have just had the privilege of meeting our new neighbours premature baby boy,
They have two other boys aged 3 and 20 months and this baby was a complete suprise,
He was born 9 weeks premature weighing 3 lb 2 Oz .
He is now 4 lb 6 Oz,
He is tiny his head is no bigger than a peach and his tiny little fingers are amazing ,
But he is perfect and has a clean bill of health..
He is so early he is still furry , you know that fine fuzzy hair all over
I got to hold him .

I didn't even know he had been born so it was a suprise to see her getting out of the car with him today .
Isn't mother nature wonderful , so small yet so perfect .

Thats good news Oma, about your neighbours premature baby.
Better late than never with yesterdays mail.

We have had a busy day,but pleased we were able to get everything done.
Garden is looking good, even though i say it myself.
Then, hubby went next door to help our neighbour erect his new poly tunnel.

Gem, glad you had a lovely afternoon, just what you need right now.

Gem, I think it's lovely when the little ones can be outside at nursery. The one our GDs went to would take them outside most days, unless it was really cold. They all had raincoats and wellies there, and loved it even when it was wet. I bet little E was ready for his bed tonight.

Oma, your MIL is rather naughty if she'll have a list sometimes, but not when you take her. It's not fair making you and B's life harder on a whim. Gosh, your neighbours are going to be busy with two energetic toddlers and a prem baby. He sounds absolutely adorable though, and you must have loved having a cuddle with him. What a privilege.

Whenever I hold a newborn baby (not often enough, of course) I always look at them and wonder what their lives will hold.

Plant, yes, I'm so happy to see the garden coming to life after the winter, despite the weeds, but our back garden faces north and can sometimes get quite late frosts, especially on part of the patio. I've learned to bide my time! I think change can be harder as we gat older, partly because of the upheaval involved in doing any major work. Our house needs decorating, and I want to get someone in to do it, but OH thinks he's going to do it himself.

Nanto, what a sense of achievement when you can look round the garden and be pleased with it. You must have both worked hard today, though. Your hubby was very good then going round to help with your neighbour's polytunnel.

My OH has nearly finished the summerhouse doors. At least they are weather tight now and I think it's just tidying up a bit and painting for tomorrow. I took Eva in the car down to our nearest car park. It's only at the end of our road, but I wanted her to have a longer walk in the Forest rather than round our estate. It was a bit drier than the other day, but at least I'd put my boots on today. She had two swims in different places, then a gentle walk back across a moor to the car. I think she was quite tired, and I had to lift her in. It's a bit of a struggle - she's heavy and doesn't co-operate. Still I think she enjoyed the river and it's good exercise for her leg.

I've just had a frustrating hour or so doing our Sainsbury's order. The website has been down on and off all day, and I just kept trying until it let me checkout. Grrr ....

Might see if i have enough room to get a few crumbles in.

                            Morning Nanto, ladies.

Rain again, will it ever stop,
It was so nice yesterday as well.

                            Nanto
I am sure you can squeeze in a crumble or two ,

I was up early so I have washed all the paintwork downstairs polished and dusted ,
                            Nothing else to do now.
I'm popping to Iceland for a few bits and B&M then the kitchen man is coming to do final measurements before it goes into production as our kitchen doors are not standard sizes.

After that I'm having a book afternoon and putting my feet up.

                            Gem
How is DD liking the new sofa, did they get it in ok? They are big pieces of furniture aren't they.

                            How is your hip today?

                            Daisy
                            Just as well J
got the doors done yesterday if you're end is anything like ours ,
                            Rain is lashing down.
Did Eva sleep all night after her walk and paddle😁

                              Good morning everyone.

Nan2 we still have apples from our tree and some blackberries in the freezer but pies and crumbles never seem to get made!
In my defence the whole of this year has been busy and not in a good way.

Daisy, it's frustrating when the supermarket sites play up.

Oma, how lovely to hold such a tiny baby!

Don't even ask about the sofa, it wouldnt go in Apparently DFS policy it to try a second time. Maybe they will send more able deliverers.

A change in the weather here too. Dull and cooler. It's not currently raining but looks as though it may do.

No school run for GS2 today. However GS1 will be here for at least part of the day, and I am sitting with him at home this evening so his mum can go out.
Little E will now be here until the afternoon, so I think we may have a library trip, and maybe cafe lunch. DD3 has an unplanned appointment for blood tests as her nose bleeds are getting worse. It may mean tinkering with the blood thinner meds. Little E can stay here as long as they need, and I can drop him back if needed

                                Good Friday morning, everyone.

Nanto, what a good job you got on with the gardening yesterday. Hopefully you can sit and admire it through the windows today.

Oma, you must have been up very early to get all those jobs done by 8.30. You more than deserve an afternoon with your feet up and a good book for company. It's good to have the planning for the kitchen doors moving forwards. Eva never gets us up in the night, but she was quite tired after two paddles and a longish walk. I'e spent about half an hour just cuddling her this morning - she doesn't give you much choice when she climbs on your knee and wants a fuss!

Gem, no wonder you've got apples and blackberries waiting in the freezer. You haven't had a minute to call your own, let alone baking. Today looks like another busy day with all your grand sons. I hope the rain holds off for you. How awful that the sofa wouldn't go into DD3's house. Some sofas can be taken apart, but perhaps theirs can't. I hope the second attempt is better. It's so disappointing for them, and something they could do without. I do hope changing DD3's meds helps with the nose bleeds. xx.

It's dull but dry here at the moment, so OH is getting on with work on the summerhouse doors. This afternoon we're taking Eva to visit the hydro-pool place. The hydro therapy will help her leg, but I think she will find it frightening, although she likes water. So we've booked to go for a look round with her today, and then will take her for treatment next week, all being well.

It's our DIL1's birthday today. She's going out for a meal with family tonight, and has a couple of other treats in the pipeline over the week-end.
