Plant, we all need help with these things sometimes. Fortunately your family are close by and I'm sure they don't mind

Take it easy Lizzie while you recover.

Daisy, did you get the furniture moved? I hope the consultant didn't keep you waiting too long.

OH did enjoy her golf , and the weather was nice today. Quite warm with no rain.
I had nice morning at the library and even nicer once I had checked my phone and seen that DD3's chemo treatment went ahead.
This afternoon I have caught up with The Archers and typed up the Minutes from yesterday's AGM.

I would be lost with my iPad if it wasn't for B ,so your not alone 😁

I managed to get the new biscuit tin and a very nice tray I didn't intend getting but it's very pretty,
Still no joy on the lamp so I will keep looking , I'm in no hurry it's just a fancy.

Gem, pleased DD had her chemo. Hope she is ok.

Plant, hope you have got your ipad sorted now.

Plant, the tech leaves us all puzzled sometimes. It changes to fast, and often sounds like a foreign language. I certainly can't keep up with all the advances and changes.

Lizzie, I hope you've got some rest today and are starting to feel better.

Gem, it was such good news to hear that DD3's treatment went ahead. You did well this afternoon getting the AGM minutes done and catching up with The Archers.

Nanto, snap. I got some cushion covers out on the line for the first time this year.

We spent the morning shunting furniture round the living room, but ended up putting it back where it started. But at least the room had a Spring clean, including the leather armchair which was looking rather grubby. The Consultant didn't ring until nearly 6 o'clock, just as I was feeding Eva, so I ending up not going for a walk until turned 8 o'clock. Still, it was dry and not too cold and I enjoyed the fresh air.

Daisy, isn't it lovely to get washing outside.
Changing the bedding today, so i hope its another good drying day.

Other than housework, no further plans for me.

              Good morning everyone.

I did think of hanging the washing outside yesterday Nan2, but in the end didn't do any!

              How are you today Lizzie?

Daisy I hope all was OK regarding the consultants phone call.
Your furniture moving reminds me of several years ago when we moved everything around in our living room to accommodate the Christmas tree in a different space. Then we realised that there really is only one place the tree could go, so moved it all back!

Aqua morning , then coffee with my friends hopefully, including the one who has been on holiday for 3 weeks.
No other plans, as of now.

                Morning ladies

                Daisy
The times I have done that with furniture only to as you say put it back where it was,
I can't do that in this house the room is too small,
B is pleased with that mind you😁
It was late for the consultant to ring , all good news I hope.

                Gem

No doubt she will be very tired.
Like you our tree will only go in one corner no matter where we try to put it 🙄

                Nanto

Good morning, much better thanks Gem. The medicine soon works!

We have our first spring day today, 16 degrees +, I already have my washing hung out, been to the gym and thinking about doing the car inside, but, could end up for a bike ride instead.

Did I tell you that there is a mouse in my house?? On the 5th floor, I know they are on the first floor so climb up the walls etc.

Daisy I often fancy moving things then move them back again!

You do have a busy week next week Oma!

Mice climb the pipes don't they,
It's like spiders it always amazed me when my cousine who lived on the 10 th floor would say there was a spider in the flat
10 floors up isn't where you expect to see them is it 😁
I'm pleased to hear your feeling a little better.

                      Good Wednesday morning, everyone.

It's good to know OH and I aren't the only ones who push their furniture round and round, only to end up back where we started. Our living room isn't easy, though. It's oblong with the fireplace on one wall, windows and french doors at each end, and two internal doors on the 4th wall. At least after yesterday's effort it looks spick and span and throws and cushion covers are nice and clean!

Nanto, it is good to get washing dried outside, and I hope it was dry for your bedding this morning. I've got a load to go out in a few minutes.

Lizzie, I'm so glad you are feeling much better. If it's a nice day I'd opt for the bike ride and enjoy the fresh air. We've all had such a long winter, haven't we. I hope the mouse isn't causing any damage. When we first extended our kitchen (years ago) we had mice getting into a food cupboard through a small hole near a pipe I think. We tried blocking it up but that didn't work, so in the end I moved all the food (cereals etc) into a cupboard on a different wall and put plates and pyrex dishes in that cupboard. The mice never came back.

Oma, with such a busy week next week I'd make sure you take it easy today. Make the most of the peace.

Gem, I hope you enjoyed Aqua and coffee with your friends afterwards. Did your friend enjoy the holiday?

Plant, I hope your iPad is ok now. Did H enjoy the time she spent with her Daddy over half-term? Sorry if you've said, but I must have missed it.

OH has gone to his car buddy's today. At least it's a nice sunny day to be working largely outside. I'm trying to catch up on housework jobs that didn't get done last week.

The rest of our week is busy. Eva is having a check up on her leg tomorrow. Typical, the shortest route to the Vet's house is across the Forest, and the road is closed for about 4 weeks, so we'll have to go a longer way round. At least there are no floods today. In the afternoon/early evening we'll take her over to DS2's for a sleep over, and it's possible GS1 will call in there as well, as he's picking his new car up from Poole tomorrow afternoon. He's looking forward to showing it to DS2. Then Friday is hospital day - the start of a new cycle of treatment, number 13 I think!

I hope everyone is getting a share of today's mild weather and sunshine. I've got all the windows and some doors open - lovely.

Speaking of mice, hubby caught one in the garage last week.

DS1 came for dinner today, hes gone now to help his friend mend a car.

Spent a good part of the afternoon with my elderly neighbour,
She rang crying could I go down,
Her OH was taken into hospital again on Sunday and she said she doesn't think he will come out again, he is very frail and confused,
He was supposed to come home today but the hospital rang to say he had been wandering all night and getting aggressive with them,

They want the mental health people to assess him ,
I think they are thinking he needs to be in a home ,
She doesn't want that but knows she is too old to cope with him and he is doing things that are scaring her,

She hasn't told her sons and I have told her she must tell them,
He hasn't actually hit her but he has lifted his firsts at her and came close to her face,
He has also been trying to get out of the front door during the night,
                          She is exhausted,
He's a lovely man so this is so out of character for him.

She had a real good cry and I gave hers cuddle and she felt better when I left,
She only has 1 daughter and she lives in Scotland and works so can't chat with her all the time and she doesn't feel she can talk to her boys as much.

Then MIL rang, are we taking her shopping tomorrow?
Yes we always do , well no body has been or offered and she apparently is living on scraps ,
She has had someone there everyday and her freezer is full🙄

Thats so sad for your neighbour and her OH. Hope things work out in a way that suits them both.

Nanto, does your DS1 enjoy working with cars? I bet he's picked up lots of practical skill from your OH.

Oma, I had to laugh at Nanto's comment about your MIL living on scraps. When she says things like nobody visits her or helps her she must think the family never talk to each other. How sad for your poor neighbours. It was kind of you to go round, and she really needed that comforting and a chance to cry. It must be frightening for her if it's possible her poor OH will hurt her, or go wandering at night. Does she lock the doors and hide the keys? I'm sure she will be upset, but it sounds as though the poor chap needs round the clock care and safeguarding. I wish she could talk to her sons, though, especially if they live locally.

Gem, I hope DD hasn't had too many side effects from her treatment yesterday. I remember I felt as though I'd been hit by a sledgehammer.

I've had a very productive day, and got lots of odd jobs done - the sorts of things you put off because they'll only take a couple of minutes some time. Plus a load of washing and Eva's bedding. Although it was sunny nothing dried properly, but I've left everything on the airer. It will be dry in the morning.

Good morning, it was 18 degrees here yesterday, I decided to do the inside windows of my car, I could hardly see through them with the low sun, then I went to the petrol station to hoover it out and decided to get the outside done at the same time, I now have a very clean and shiny car. The man in the next garage to mine always admires the car when it is clean!

Later I went for a bike ride to the goat farm, so busy on the cycle paths, everyone was out and about with the good weather.

Oma, the poor lady, my ex is in a home, he doesn't even recognise his wife, she has been in touch with the boys with photo's etc.

Your poor MIL living on scraps. She certainly likes attention.

I don't think my mouse visitor was here last night, there is nothing for him to snack on! I have set traps and will go to the DIY place later and see what they have to stop them visiting!

Nanto, your family will be pleased with the males interested in car engines.

I have just read that a 73 year old man was robbed here on Tuesday evening, thrown to the ground as well. Apparently they come in cars from Germany on "robbing" trips. A lady in the next village stopped to give directions to someone in a car, a woman got her from behind and ripped her gold chain and earrings off! That was on TV on Tuesday evening. Fancy having earrings ripped off!!
