Gem's right, it could be a 'wrong' capital or small letter, an accidental space, possibly mistaking o for 0 (a lower case "O" for the number 0 (zero) or similar with I (upper case i) for l (small letter L) or 1 (number one) or various other characters which can be very confusing.

A quick catch up from me. It's been a very busy week.

We took Eva to the vet yesterday morning. She (Eva) was so excited and had a good trot round the field, and the consulting room. Got very excited about having lots of treats. The vet says she's making some progress, which we were relieved about! She gave her laser treatment to help with a bit of fluid, and our "homework" for the next four weeks.

We went home had lunch and then took her over to GS2's for her sleepover before my hospital appointment today.

GS1 was due to pick his new car up from Poole yesterday afternoon and wanted to take it to show DS2 (his uncle) immediately. He was there quite a long time, and waited to see GD1, (his cousin) who was out at karate. Then he and P (his mum's friend) came to us to show me the car and have dinner. I had a very good 'tour' round all the car's features, but opted to go for a ride in it next time he's down in the daylight. I'd made a chicken curry, so we had that and then sat chatting, like you do.

We had a late night last night, and a very early (for us) start this morning, leaving home at 7.30. The traffic was heavy and so was the rain. We just got there in time, hurried along to the ward, only to find it had been moved! We ended up at the wrong end of the hospital because we confused East and West wing. I didn't have to wait long but they were short staffed. The new ward is ok, but there is a treatment they can't do there so have to have staff in the old location for a particular treatment. I felt very sorry for the nurses.

My pills and potions to take home hadn't arrived, so we went to the Pharmacy to collect them. They weren't there either and they had no prescription for me. We ended up waiting an hour or so in the main reception which is busy and noisy. By then I was tired, thirsty, hungry and cold. We were ready for a cup of tea by the time we got to DS2's to collect Eva. Both dogs gave us a great welcome. We had a chat and relaxed a bit.

It was getting on for 3 o'clock by the time we had lunch, but we had had a snack before then. We wanted to have tea early because Sainsbury's were due 7-8, but neither of us was hungry! I made small omelettes and a salad, which was nice and easy. By the time we'd put the shopping away I was even more tired and intended to have an early night, but did a load of small jobs I hadn't had time for last night.

I'll read back over everyone's posts tomorrow. Sleep well. xxx

          Good morning everyone.

Nan2, have a good shopping trip.

Daisy you have had a busy week, and long and frustrating hospital visit. I prescribe an easy day today, if not all weekend!

I hope Plant can get back OK, I remember we had to create a whole new account for Glamma for this reason.

No plans today. For me at least OH is going for a walk and coffee with a friend this morning. We want DD3 and maybe go for a walk with them, but I am hoping it can be tomorrow and not today as I could do to rest.
I had to resort to rhubarb gin and ginger to ease my pain last night as no painkillers (that I can access) make any difference, and it was truly getting me down. My lovely massage therapist has put me on the top of her cancellations list. The alcohol did help I must say. I will try it again tonight if I am still in pain. I have made a thread about this

This is what I am suffering from. It's like sciatica but worse in my experience. The main pain is deep in the buttock, but all around the hip area and down the leg. This condition is what started me on the deep tissue massages which I now have monthly. It flared when my mum still alive and I was in a lot of pain when I was

            Morning Nanto, ladies.

            Nanto
            Enjoy your trip to Wakefield,
It's dry for once here ,I hope it dries up for you.

            Daisy
What a busy day you had,
You really need a quiet weekend.
If GS is excited as my GS was when he got his first car , it's lovely to see the light in their eyes,
I imagine he was a little sad his Dad didn't get to see it though.

            I'm pleased Eva is improving,
I can just imagine her getting excited in the vets ,😁

            Storm was there also ,
The vet was very pleased and now he can have 10 minute walks three times a day,
            He has x-rays next week.
DD said he was so happy to be out but walked very slowly .

            Gem
I thought the same about passwords,
It's so easy especially if your tired to get something wrong
Hopefully Plant will have better luck today or her GD can sort it.

            How is DD doing ?

It's dry for once, I haven't much to do today we might go to Hobbycraft B wants some small thin wooden discs ,
I said we might find them in the craft section , it's worth a look .

Good morning, it is windy and damp after a lovely week of sun.

Daisy, you have been busy, now is the time to relax.

I have been on the bike to the agricultural store in the next village for a good mouse trap! I did think I had gotten rid, I maybe did and this is another as I have heard from a few neighbours with the same problem . It annoys me as there is nothing they can eat here, they don't even bother looking in the kitchen. M next door has the dog with the food etc, the other neighbour breeds birds, feeds the birds on the balcony etc, then I have to suffer!

I did call and see GD2 at the supermarket she works at.

I had a good spring clean in my bedroom the other day, I have heavy curtains that I remove and hang outside, how I ever managed to sew them I do not know. The last hook was a little too far away for comfort, I did manage it, then woke in the night and thought I was having a heart attack!! Calmed myself down and decided it was a pulled muscle near the top of the ribs, in fact the young man said at the gym that is isn't exactly a movement I do daily. It is much easier now, I can still feel it though.

I have ordered a few things from Temu, including a 3 storey rack for herbs etc, with the mice annoying me I have altered my cupoard space!

My shingles are better, yet again, I do have 3 more days of the tablets, I was reading the affects they can have, one is kidney trouble, I had to check yesterday where my pain was!!

Lizzie, glad to hear the shingles are better.

Wakefield was ok,but its a bit run down now.
We have heard a lot of work is going to be done,so we shall wait and see.

Hello everyone. Time I tried to catch up.

Lizzie, I can't imagine how awful for those people getting robbed in broad daylight like that. I wonder what is attracting the mice to your flat. but if the birds are being fed on the next balcony I would think that's the most likely. Dog food should be less of a problem provided it isn't left in the dog's bowl. It's good to hear you're getting over the shingles. It must have made you feel very poorly. How is the pulled muscle now?

Nanto, a bit of good weather is very welcome, isn't it. How was the KFC? What a shame Wakefield is going through a bad time, but unfortunately it's the same in so many town and cities. It seems to be a downward spiral.

Grauntie, it's lovely to hear from you and I hope the "lots going on" in Grauntieland are good things. If not, I'm sending hugs and sympathy. If you do need a moan you know there are plenty of sympathetic ears here, but I'm hoping it's lots of good, happy goings-on.

Oma, good news about Storm. Walking slowly is good. I bet he was excited to go out, though. I remember the video you took when GS1 got his car. He almost couldn't believe it, could he. This is actually our GS1's third car! He and his brother shared a car when they learned to drive - there's only 15 months between them - and when he passed he bought himself a car, and he's just bought this one. He's saved very hard to pay for it, bless him, and he takes great care of his car. If B didn't get what he wanted from Hobbycraft he might find them online - Amazon probably. I have bought lots of thin wooden shapes advertised in Pyrography sections. They vary in how well sanded they are, so depending on what he's using them for he may need to fine sand them. I often use them for gift tags on presents.

Plant, oh dear, it looks as though you're still having problems. We miss you. xx

Gem, I hope you get some relief from that pain tonight. I must admit, I like the idea of alcohol better than codeine.

I've had a productive day today. I blitzed the kitchen this morning, it certainly needed it, and OH cleaned the windows. I got some washing out on the line, but even though it was sunny it didn't dry very well. Our lovely next door neighbour came round just before lunch with his smart lawnmower and gave our lawn a light cut. It was too long and wet for our mower to tackle it. So after lunch I trimmed the edges of the lawn, pruned the pear trees - it's not a big job, there only 2, and they're trained against the fence, and did a few other odds and ends. Two hours had passed before I realised! It was so nice to be out. Eva can have slightly longer walks now, so we had about an hour wandering round. I'll aim for a quieter day tomorrow.

Good morning , Daisy I heard yesterday that the ##### mice are all over the building! I set my new traps, nothing!!!
My muscle is healing now, thanks, then just one day of medicine for the shingles, I must make an appointment at the surgery as I don't want another flare up!

The weather forecast is very good for the coming week, after cleaning my front windows the other day it managed to rain on them!

Nanto, KFC is something I have never eaten, there is a massive drive through just up the road from here, pass it regularly, never stopped!

Daisy, I seem to have been cleaning my kitchen cupboards out all week looking for trace of the mice!!! It was nice of your neighbour to do the grass. Your GD will be so proud of his new car.

We have new neighbours, moving in last week, an Indonesian couple, he is very friendly, I met her for the first time yesterday. He was moving last weekend, he seems to have done it all himself, anyway, he was telling me that 2 ladies were very annoyed because he was holding the lift up!!!! I know who he meant as well, I told him not to bother with what they say, he has to use the lift for the furniture etc so just to carry on!!!

Oma, Storm seems to be improving well after his operation.

Oma,, I order those discs, tags etc if I order anything from Temu, they come in all shapes and sizes. I used to use them a lot whilst crafting with the GD's.

I hope that Planty can get onto the site again, maybe her GD can sort it out for her.

                      Morning ladies

                      Lizzie
It's a good thing your not getting any mice in the traps ,
There mustn't be anything in reach for them ,
Those two ladies sound like moaners , how else was the poor man supposed to get his furniture up there,
A bit common sense and patience wouldn't go a miss would it,

                      Daisy
It's nice to get in the garden and pass a couple of hours,

The wood discs B needed was for a packer to fill in a gap,
Anyway we didn't get one at hobby craft but
DD came for the carpet cleaner, it was in the loft and he found a pack of wood discs that must have been with his woodworking stuff before he sold it all and they were a perfect fit,😁
                      Problem solved.

We were up very early this morning so everything is done ,
I have a hot wash on with towels in and a few things to iron that's it.

We are at a funeral on Wednesday and B tried his trousers on to make sure they still fit only to find a missing button,

I don't have a button box now so we raked all his other trousers to see if any of those had a spare button but none did
If I can't get one at the shops it will be a safety pin and belt job 😁

MIL excelled herself last night ,

Rang Martin and was screaming down the phone at him .
Said he did F all for her and he was a F ing waste of space ,
She said we had all said the same thing about him , a lie were we are concerned, but probably the two sisters have said it and wound her up ,

He said the language was disgusting,
She had been in a mood all day ,
His DS2 had been up and she did nothing but shout at her till she finally had enough and walked out,

We have her at the opticians tomorrow, she better behave herself or we will fall out big time.

                        Good morning everyone.

Lizzie, good to hear you are much better. There must be food somewhere for the mice I suppose, but if none in the traps they can't be in your flat!

Nan2, I'm not sure I have been to Wakefield, but I'm sure I must have done!

Good productive day there Daisy, a quiet one today is a good idea. It is so nice to get outside though.

Oma, poor M, your MIL is lucky all her family don't turn their backs on her.

We are going over to DD3's later. We will take little E out and DD3 may come with us. SIL has some friends coming over to help with some stuff in the house, in readiness for new bigger sofa arriving this week.

It is March and the blossom has been appearing on the tree in our front garden for a few days now. For some reason the daffodils in our garden are in flower before anyone else's around here each year, so it is looking quite Springlike out there.

I got here eventually. I read Lizzies post, then got sidetracked,as you do.

Gem, we were saying yesterday when we were on our way home that a lot trees were in blossom.
Our daffodils are in flower as well,it makes the garden look quite cheery.
Enjoy your day out with E and DD.

                            Good Sun day afternoon everyone.

Lizzie, if there are mice all over the building they all need to be dealt with at the same time I think. It could be the responsibility of the management company, otherwise the fabric of the building, wiring etc could be damaged. Mice don't hang about when it comes to producing babies. I'm glad you're feeling better. I always think cleaning your windows is the equivalent to doing a rain dance. It happens every time. But lovely that you've got some better weather to look forward to.

Oma, I know your MIL is volatile and difficult, but that really is shocking. Poor M. Even though he knows she's fibbing, it must be upsetting, and no wonder his DS2 walked out on her. Fingers crossed she behaves at the opticians tomorrow. I know it's hard because she is B's mother, but she seems to get worse. Has she ever been assessed for a personality disorder?

Gem, I hope DD3 was well enough to come out with you. If she can it's good for her, and walking is important as well. I hope DD3 and her OH are looking forward to the new sofa. It sounds luxurious. Most of our daffodils have been beaten down by the rain, but some still in bud will hopefully be ok. I noticed this morning that a beautiful Magnolia Stellata bush in the front garden is starting to flower. I've been enjoying the big fat buds for a while, but when they burst into flower it's like magic. It seems to happen overnight.

Nanto, getting sidetracked seems to be the norm for me, so I can understand it!

We're having a much quieter day today, and had a leisurely start. But I've got to go and portion up some food for Eva, and then take her for a walk. We've done some physio this morning, which she thinks is great as long as the treats keep coming.
