    Good morning.

Take care of yourself and get better Oma. If only MIL would realise what a strain her insisting on staying at home is putting on the rest of the family.

You have done well getting that gardening done Daisy. Dont overdo it though xx

I don't think it's raining here right now either Nan2.

Lots of rain recently though so the golf course is closed. OH was planning to play with friends. I am going to this afternoon's deep water aqua class. I haven't been to that one for a couple of weeks.
DD and SIL3 and little E are coming to stay the night. OH's turn to cook. I think we are having a veggie Bolognese.

      Morning ladies,
      Gem
I hope you enjoy your Aqua and your Bolognese , always better when someone else has cooked it 😄

      Nanto
      Enjoy your no plans day😁

      I didn't have a great night,
      So I'm very tired ,
I've done what needs doing and put the towels in to wash but that's it ,
It's all had a cats lick as they say.

I am hoping no dramas with MIL today ,
She rang SIL2 last night demanding she took cake and sweets down,
SIL said if you think I'm getting a bus down this time of night and in this weather you got no chance ,
She had to hang up on her at the finish she was screaming at her,
God knows what other people and the staff were thinking🤔

SIL said she will go this afternoon but she's not rushing down on demand.

To be honest and I know it sounds awful but I'm glad I can't go in with this cold.

        Good Sunday morning, everyone.

Nanto, no rain here at the moment, either. Eva sees the physio exercises as a game, and some are similar to what we do in training class. I hope they're making a difference, but it's a slow process.

Gem, with all the rain we're having, deep water aqua sounds as though it might come in useful!! I hope that remains a joke, though. Poor OH, I know she misses her golf so I hope the course drains well and is soon open again. The veggie bolognese sounds delicious, and it will be good for you all to be together tonight. Do DD and SIL have to leave early tomorrow?

Oma, I'm sure a cat's lick is more than enough. I do think you and B need a break from being at MIL's beck and call, so as horrible as it is having a cold it gives you a break. Good for SIL2 for standing her ground. MIL was being totally unreasonable.

No plans for us today, although we might do a bit of gardening if the rain holds off.

We had a glimmer of sun this morning, not for long, but it was enough to open a clump of crocus.

Oma, glad SIL dug her heels in. Hope you feel better soon.

Oma, So sorry you are feeling rotten, when you are tired your resistance to bugs goes down, well that’s my theory. It is something that you feel almost pleased that you feel poorly to avoid going to Mil. I should keep out of shops for a while, lots of bugs around. Sending distance hugs.

Daisy, I can understand you feel pleased with a little while in the garden, just a little weeding makes you think Spring has sprung. Take care.

Gemini, you and your family are always in my thoughts. I hope the deep water exercise was enjoyable. Sending hugs to you and your family

Nanto, the first flowers are the best. Just a few snowdrops in mine.

              Pretty crocuses Nan2.

It is a good thing the cold prevents you visiting your MIL Oma, you need a break.
Your home is always immaculate, I'm sure you could take several days off housework with no ill effects!

Daisy DD and SIL will have to leave not long after 8 in the morning. We live closer to the hospital than they do, and they won't have to get little E ready.

Plant, thank you. Knowing people care and are thinking of us helps.

DD and SIL3 and little E are here. We all ate together and little E has just gone to bed.

Nanto, the crocus look lovely - such a pretty colour and nice large clumps.

Plant, I agree, a bit of time pottering in the garden makes you feel better. It's good to know spring is on the way. Enjoy your snowdrops.

Gem, I hope you felt better for going to the deep water Aqua. I'm sure staying with you tonight has helped DD and SIL, and being closer to the hospital is a bonus. Is little E enjoying his new bed and PJs? I hope you all manage to sleep ok tonight. My thoughts will be with DD tomorrow. xxx

I didn't do much gardening, but OH made a good start on pruning down a huge rose - I'm never sure whether it's a climber or a rambler, but this last summer most of the flowers were in next door's tree canopy. I'd just decided to take Eva for her walk this afternoon when it started to rain. We went out anyway! Dinner was mostly prepared and OH finished it off and did the veggies, so I made some scones. It's always a bit of a lottery how they turn out, and today's look a bit pale, even though they're cooked through.

Good morning everyone, I will be thinking of your DD3 today Gem, every day in fact!

We have had a lovely sunny weekend, I decided to go for a bike ride yesterday morning, I did enjoy it but it was colder than I expected it to be, especially in the shade. I will stick to my exercise bike until it gets warmer! On the balcony it is lovey and warm! I am feeling better, the fever has gone, it has left me very tired, I hear from others that the virus can leave you like that.

I still don't know how you all cope with your MIL Oma!!!

You all seem to have had so much rain, maybe ours is yet to come.

                      Morning Nanto, ladies.

It's miserable again today after some brightness yesterday,

                      Gem
Thinking of DD today hope it goes well,
The first one is always a bit scary as you don't know how she is going to react.

                      Lizzie
Pleased to hear your feeling better today.

                      Daisy
As long as the scones tasted good looks don't matter,
Sometimes mine come out golden, sometimes I have to double check they are done as they haven't coloured much.

I have forgotten before to put the milky egg wash on and they come out looking dry and anemic, but we're fine 😁

I don't feel as bad today , the sore throat is easing,
Ears still bunged up and a bit painful and I'm still aching all over but just not as bad ,
Fingers crossed another couple of days and it will be gone.

Nothing planned today see what turns up.

                          Good Monday morning, everyone.

Nanto, thank you. I find making scones very hit and miss. Mostly miss. We'll try them after lunch.

Oma, I'm pleased to hear. you're feeling a bit better, but don't leap about and spring clean the whole house. You're obviously still not well and I hope you'll listen to us all nagging you to take it easy.

Any news on MIL? Are they keeping her in hospital for now?

I'm glad your find your scones don't always colour up. I had brushed them with a milky wash but the recipe said 8 and I had made 9 with a bit left over, so I think I made them a bit thin and adjusted the cooking time to allow for that. I still find it hard to time cakes etc in the electric oven.

It's quite a nice morning here, we've even got a bit of watery sunshine. OH has just gone to post a parcel - we have to go to the next village for Evri now, and there's a couple of things we've run out of he can get there. Apparently Tesco lost the Evri contract to Aldi, and we haven't got an Aldi anywhere round here. But the little Post Office in the next village still do it.

If it stays fine we'll do some more gardening, even though the ground is saturated. It's a good time for pruning!

I know we are all thinking about Gem's dear DD3 and sending her love and best wishes. xxx

I go by the sound test with my scones, if they are still ( singing ) sizzling ,when I turn them over and tap the bottom ,
I put them in for a couple of more minutes.
I find you can never time them the same with each batch , I don't know why😁

MIL is in for a few days ,
Last news was they treating her for suspected pneumonia again,
But she's bossing everyone around so she's ok.

Just as well you have the post office in the next village isn't it,
What do people do if they can't get there ? Silly isn't it.

I have just had a nana nap , I'm feeling very tired at the moment ,,

I hope it's all gone well with Gems DD

Oma, surely they can’t just keep putting Mil in and then out again but I don’t know what they can do.

Our Post Office is a bit of a walk or a short drive. It is only a sub-PO. The main one is a short drive.

Oma, I hope that nana nap did you some good. Please don’t go mad when you feel slightly better, give time to get your strength back and no Supermarkets or crowded places for a bit.

Gemini, In my thoughts as always.

Thanks for good wishes and thoughts everyone.

Poor little E has a cold so I gave him Calpol before bed. He doesn't seem poorly and is eating well. Just a constantly runny nose and bit of a cough. I will see how he is for nursery in the morning.

DD and SIL are spending the night at home.
I will update on YEO tomorrow.

                                Night everyone.
