You need to rest as much as you can ,
You will need your strength LV.

B went to see MIL ,
On his way out of the hospital he broke down.
Being Electric it can't be towed ,
He's had to wait for a recovery truck ,
RAC man said it's the battery,
They said it won't be ready till next week so they are trying to get a courtesy car as quick as they can.

Oma, poor Storm. You can't explain to them what's wrong, and they can't understand why tug and long walks are off limits. The rear end sling will be a help after his operation, even if it just stops him from trying to run or walk too fast. Our neighbour's Sprocker had to have crate rest for about two weeks after her cruciate surgery, but the vet gave her sedatives so she didn't want to run round like she usually does.

Gem, thank heavens for a bit or ordinary chat after your Aqua class. It was kind of OH to go and keep an eye on little E this afternoon. I hope SIL's meeting with his boss went smoothly. Did you manage to get some rest? Oma, is right about you needing to keep your strength up.

Oma, is B's car under guarantee? I think batteries for electric cars are expensive, and heavy. You will certainly need a courtesy car though. How was MIL?

As often happens, I didn't do what I'd planned. But I did hoover right through the house. We recently got a second battery operated vacuum so I keep one downstairs and the other upstairs. It's made such a difference not having to drag it up and down the stairs all the time. I set Eva's "flyball" poles up in the hall as part of her physio. She's supposed to walk over them - they are only 2 inches off the ground - until the doorbell rang, and she took a leap off the stairs and hammered down to the front door. Thank goodness she seemed ok. We both had a rest after lunch and then went for our walk, in the rain, as usual.

OH enjoyed his day with his car pals and I think it did him good to get out and do something different. He can have a lazy day tomorrow is he's tired.

Hope all goes well for Storm.

Looks like a rainy morning again. Yesterday it brightened up for an hour.We saw something in the sky, hubby thinks it was something called sun.

Hairdresser coming this morning, then later we are out for a pub meal.

            Morning Nanto, ladies.

            Nanto
We haven't seen light for days it's still lashing down ,
            Enjoy your lunch out .

            Daisy
J has been cooped up hasn't he , I bet he enjoyed the change in scenery.

I find having a hoover upstairs a blessing too , they are so heavy to lug up the stairs aren't they.
Naughty Eva but I had to laugh at her barreling towards the door ,
She must think every ring of the door is for her 😁

Yes the battery is covered so no worries, they have said if they can't get us a courtesy car quickly they will set up a Taxi account for us , hopefully the car is fixed sooner rather than later.

MIL was her usual sunny self ,complained about everything, B said it was a pleasure ... NOT 😁🙄

Rang DD this morning she was in tears at the thought of Storm going in for his op,
She is working this morning to take her mind off it.

We have a man coming at 9 to measure up as we are having the Kitchen cupboard doors replaced ,
Not sure what colour we want so he is bringing samples for us to look at .

              Good morning everyone.

              Enjoy your meal Nan2.

I hope all goes well for Storm today Oma. pets are a great joy but also worry for us when they are ill. We are also thinking about new kitchen cupboard doors.

I think it must have done your OH good to get out with his friends yesterday Daisy. I hope you manage a no-rain walk with Eva soon.

I havent heard if little E has gone to nursery. I pick him up straight after his lunch if so. I'm sure SIL will let me if there is any change to this, I can have him all day if so.

A bit late, but good Thursday morning, everyone.

Nanto, we saw that thing in the sky yesterday, just briefly. It was lovely. Enjoy your pub meal. Having your hair done always makes you feel better, doesn't it.

Gem, I hope little E was well enough to go to nursery. I'm sure he's very good company, and he'll enjoy being with you this afternoon.

Oma, poor DD. I know how she feels. It's never nice leaving a dog at the vets, and I have to find something to keep me occupied. I hope the surgery goes well for Storm. New doors will feel like a whole new kitchen, and I like the idea of pistachio green. It's a nice, calm colour. Let's hope the garage can give B a courtesy car, it will be more convenient than having to phone for a taxi every time you want to go out. Thank goodness the battery is covered. MIL sounds as though she's in her usual good spirits.

I don't seem to have done much this morning, but we had an unexpected visitor who has only just gone. The rain has stopped so I hope it's still dry after lunch so I can have a rare walk with Eva without getting soaked - you're right, Gem. I've almost forgotten what a walk on a nice day is like.

Storm is out of surgery and on recovery,
DD can pick him up at teatime ,
Vet said to expect him to be groggy still and he will be on pain killers so he most likely will sleep till morning.

We got a Taxi to our shopping mall and did some shopping then a taxi back ,
Not my idea of fun standing in the rain and cold waiting ,
But we are back home now and going to have a hot drink.

                    Daisy
Did you get out for walk without the rain?

                      Oma, good news about Storm.

Little E went to nursery happily this morning and his cough is a lot better. He had a good morning and they sent us a video of him playing football
It's a rainy afternoon so we are playing inside.

Gem, I'm sure you were relieved to know little E had a good morning at nursery, and their kindness continues with sending you a video of him playing football. What lovely people they are. Indoor play seems the norm with this wet weather.

Oma, you must all be relieved that Storm is out of surgery. Will they wake him up enough for him to go to the toilet? Sleep is the best thing for now. Our neighbour's Sprocker was given painkillers and mild sedation for about two weeks, but she was used to being very active and would never walk if she could run. I hope Storm is more sensible, bless him. It's definitely no fun waiting around in the cold and rain for a taxi. I do hope B's car is back soon. Any news about MIL?

Yes, I managed a walk this afternoon without getting wet. It was clouding over though and there was a cold wind. I even managed a couple of little jobs in the garden when I got back. The fleece covering a half-hardy Salvia had torn off, so I replaced that with a fleece bag, and did a little bit of weeding. I was tempted to stay out longer but I need to portion up dog food before Eva can have her dinner tonight, and to finish off a casserole for us.

He is back home , and off his head on Methadone,
It was a bigger op than anticipated
They had to cut the bone to rotate the knee and put a massive metal plate in ,
                            The ligament had detached completely.
He isn't allowed to walk for two weeks , only go in the garden to do his business,
Then short 10 minutes walks for 6 weeks till he goes back for his checkup.

DD said he's destressing as he doesn't know what's happening and with the drugs , bless him.
