    Morning ladies
It's a nice bright morning here so far,

    Nanto
I hope you enjoy your day and your KFC ,

    Gem
Have a nice lunch, do you know where your going or will you decide when you meet up?

Asda coming soon and B has his appointment this morning.

I was up very very early this morning,so downstairs scrubbed and dusted ,
    Beds stripped ,
First lot in the tumble second lot in the washer ,
I then want to wash the scatter cushions from the sofa ,

I might make some cakes today I fancy cherry and sultana, see how B feels first , no use making them just for me if he doesn't feel up to eating them although I could freeze them, I know they freeze well.

      Good morning Oma.

We always meet at the same place. They can both walk there as they live nearby, it's an easy drive with parking outside for me and it's a place you can stay as long as you like
You have been there, we we all stayed in the Premier Inn next door one summer.
Those cakes sound lovely, I hope B is feeling a bit better xx

        Good Saturday morning, everyone.

Nanto, I hope it's dry and not too cold for your charity run tomorrow. Air fryer cakes sound easy. Do you need to adapt ordinary recipes for the air fryer? I enjoy an occasional KFC. I hope yours is good.

Oma, you've been a busy bee again. How is your back and shoulder? What did the doctor say about B? Cherry and sultana cakes sound lovely, and it's good to have emergency supplies in the freezer.

Gem, enjoy your meet up with your school friends today. It makes such a difference if you can get to a place easily, and then be able to park as well. It would be good to get home and find it all lit up ready for Christmas.

I'm trying to sort out upstairs today. OH has been doing some buying and selling on an auction site and there's stuff all over the place. I need to tidy the airing cupboard to get a spare duvet in - it's been sitting over the bannister for far too long.

We had frost overnight, but the sun is lovely this morning.

It sounds as if we are all enjoying this lovely morning. The sky last evening was amazing, bright red. Didn’t have a particular good night, shoulder was painful, couldn’t get it comfortable. DD and Sil are going out and GD and I had planned to do something with H but her OH has been sent home from work, he isn’t well.

Gem, have a lovely time meeting old school friends, lots to chat about.

Oma, stop it, I am sure your abode must already be tidy and clean. Those cakes sound good if you get around to cooking them.

Daisy, good luck to your OH with his buying and selling. Are they items from his hobbies?

Well B has severe tonsillitis and stomach flu,
Dr said she had seen lots the past week with the same thing,
Gave him Antibiotics and said rest and fluids till it passes.

            Gem
Is it called the church mouse or something to do with a mouse 😁
I remember having very nice halloumi fries there,
            Enjoy .

            Daisy
My back and shoulder still hurt but I've just got to get on with it , I keep resting in-between doing things
            Thank you for asking.

I have our duvet airing over the banister at the moment, they come in handy for things like that don't they😁
            How's J's eye?
Cupboards are forever needing sorting aren't they,
No matter how many times you tidy them they seem to make a mess of themselves again ,
            I blame gremlins 😁

            Plant
It sounds like your shoulder is like mine, it's hard to get comfortable in bed isn't it,
            I hope GD's OH is ok ,

Oma, poor B. He must be feeling awful. I hope the antibiotics kick in quickly so he starts to feel better.I hope you don't catch it as well. It's hard to say you need to rest when you're in pain, but I'm sure you could leave your house to go to wrack and ruin for a couple of days. Anyway, cleaning is forbidden once you've got Christmas decorations out.

The airing cupboard was a bigger job than I'd thought. It's a very big cupboard and it's too tempting to chuck all sorts of things in there. I've got a large pile of blankets and bedding ready to go to charity, and OH has put things like spare duvets and pillows right at the top, out of the way. I've still got to put everyday bedding and towels back in, but I decided to take Eva for a walk instead. The sun was just setting and it was lovely watching the crows flying into the oak trees to roost. The gremlins will be in a lot of trouble if they get up to mischief now.

Plant, I do sympathise. It's awful when you can't get comfortable to go to sleep. Do you use hot or cold packs or something like Ibuprofen gel? I hope it's nothing serious for your GD's OH. There seem to be a lot of bugs going round at the moment. OH collects Meccano and always seems to be swapping things around.

              I hope everybody's having a good week-end.

Oma, sorry I forgot to say - OH's eye still feels a bit strange, but then he didn't have any actual treatment - it was just investigative. He had a letter from the hospital today setting out the appointment they made for him, for last Thursday, and cancelling a routine check up in January. I suppose it's logical from their point of view but getting notification two days after an appointment seems odd to us!

                  Oma it's The Dormouse
B has my every sympathy. I suffered with severe tonsilitis for years, you feel so ill

Plant and Oma try to rest those shoulders xx

Daisy I hope your OH is successful in his selling.

We had nice lunch and good chat as always. We were there several hours and only left because I wanted to get back before dark. I avoid dark driving whenever possible!

Gem, OH buys and sells. He enjoys both processes. I'd hate it.

It's surprising how quickly time can go when you're with old friends, isn't it. Driving in the dark isn't much fun, but I was reading the other day that modern cars' headlights often dazzle other drivers. I don't mind if I know the roads, but wouldn't want to try and navigate my way round a strange town in the dark.

After dinner I put the bedding, towels and other odds and ends back into the airing cupboard. OH says he's never seen it so tidy! Goodness knows how long it will last though.

We're going to DIL's for lunch tomorrow. It's the first time since I've been ill, and I'm looking forward to it, and hoping I feel ok.

Good morning, very foggy here this morning. I have been busy doing some sewing, alterations, for friends of mine, I should finish them today, I could have yesterday but GD1 phoned to say she was coming, she did come, she forgot to mention it was after she had been to the gym! She had her hair loose for a change, I have never seen anyone (white) with curls like she has!! Her mother has curls, she got it from that side of the family!!

DS and DIL loved Sweden, they managed to get in the cathedral where there was a Christmas service, he said it was amazing, give him "goose bumps". It was a pre Christmas mass in Stork Kyrkan.

Gem, I am not keen on driving in the dark, I maybe have to on Boxing Day, we are invited to DS2, it depends who goes whether I need to drive or not!

Oma, I hope that B is feeling better, my BIL had 2 slight strokes last week and is in Hull Royal, he would be allowed home but there is flu on the ward so he has to stay in.

Daisy, I hope that you enjoy the lunch today and don't feel so tired.

Good morning and it's the start of a new week.

Hope all the poorlies feel better soon.

Lizzie, you've had a busy time with your sewing.

It's the day of the Santa charity run. Hoping the weather stays dry.

                          Nanto
I hope the rain stays off for the run
Enjoy anyways , did hubby get the quad decorated for it?

                          Lizzie
Something nice to look forward to boxing day lunch out,
I can imagine how moving the Christmas service was ,
I'm not religious but churches and cathedrals always have that effect don't they.

                          Gem
I hated night driving , I get night blindness and now headlights are so bright they dazzle you,
Glad you had a lovely time 😁

B had a decent night for a change , hopefully he starts to feel better with these antibiotics.

I might have a walk over to Aldi,
I'm just waiting for the washer to stop I have all the towels on a very hot wash .

                            Good morning ladies.

I hope all goes well for the Santa Run Nan2.

Oma, I'm glad B had a better night.

Daisy I hope you have a lovely day and feel well xx

Your GD has incredibly curly hair doesn't she Lizzie? A friend of mine has a DD with hair like that. When she was little I remember thinking, like you that it was rare to see that sort of hair blond!

A Christmassy day today! We have put the Christmas tree in position. OH is off golfing soon and I will decorate it. This evening we are going, with two friends, to a carol concert in the Minster.

I may do some present wrapping too.

Oma, it is an evening mail, no Christmas dinners at lunch time here so it will be dark. I don't mind the roads, it is the road leading to their farm that I am not keen on.

Gem, GD1 did have the curls as a toddler, she is darker now, but, oh my, the curls!!!

I have got the sewing done, plus, altered the spare room, I have a hanging chair, I have had it a long time, it was next to my sewing corner, I told GD1 she could have it for her room but her room isn't big enough, I woke this morning wondering if I moved a set of drawers and a small cupboard if it would fit in the corner, I measured it all and it does fit, then to empty the drawers and find space for things, plus get rid of things!! I sent a message to M next door to ask if she had space for the drawers, I was joking really, they were exactly what she was looking for so came straight away and got them. ~Now I have a very tidy spare room.

Eldest GS and his family here for lunch today, I didn’t have lunch with them so my DD has plated up a meal and put it in my fridge, I shall have it later. GS’s wife is a teacher, she finishes for Christmas on Friday, I thought she was looking very tired.

Lizzie, your family, especially the girls are very lucky to have you to make them clothes.

Gemini, enjoy your evening at the Minster.

Daisy, enjoy your lunch at Dil’s.
