Great to see you managed to get hear😁
I think when you can't do these jobs anymore it's worth paying to get them done for you isn't it.
    Happy birthday to your DS,

Yes GS is finished for Christmas now ,
He has just left, he came for food (crispy duck with pancakes) 😁
Stayed about 3 hours only went home as he is seeing Lucie later.

    Daisy
SIL 1 went to MILs this morning, had words with her and told her a few home truths but all seems ok ,
She made her lunch for her before she left, she is taking her to the hairdresser's on Wednesday.

I'm pleased your feeling better today but having to shop around for car insurance is a pain isn't it.

Your MIL is the bane of her family's lives Oma. I would be sad to think I was making my family's lives hard and that was how they remember me!

Happy Birthday to your son Plant.

Good to hear you are feeling better Daisy.

I was very tired after aqua today. Sunday late afternoon and Monday morning is a hard combination!
Good reflexology session, then after a cuppa OH and I got all the Christmas things down. They are neatly stacked in the second spare room for now. DD3 is staying in the other room on Wednesday night, so she will be able to get in

Oma, thank goodness peace has been restored between your SIL and MIL. I've noticed before though, that when you've got to the stage where you're quite blunt with her she seems to settle down and be more reasonable. Perhaps your SIL did the same.

Gem, after the two aqua classes I think it was a good job you had your reflexology session to relax. You've done well to get all the Christmas things down and ready. I'm sure DD3 will appreciate being able to get into the other spare room when she stays.

OH has a blood test booked for tomorrow afternoon, so he's going to drop me off at the garden centre and then pick me up on his way back. It's a bit of a detour and I did offer to go on my own, but he says he'll chauffeur me. I'm getting spoilt.

Raining and windy here. Apparently the wind will be stronger this afternoon.

Hubby and his pal insist on still having their meet up, so i'm going into town as well.
It will be nice and warm in the market hall and the shopping mall.

          I'll catch up later.

            Good morning everyone.

Nan2, stay nice and dry in the mall

Daisy, you deserve to be chauffeured!

Rain and wind here all night long and continuing today.
The Christmas golf competition is cancelled as the course is waterlogged. The Christmas tea, a fun thing with Christmas jumpers, is still going on though!

Library for me this morning. There is a free concert in the library which I'm looking forward to hearing as I work. I hope the weather doesn't put people off.
I'm meeting my ex work friend for an early tea tonight .

              Good Tuesday morning, everyone.

Nanto, it's this time of year where we really feel the benefit of indoor shopping. Our two nearest small towns are traditional high streets, which is lovely in lots of ways but not so good in this weather. Enjoy your outing.

Gem, I think the library will be feeling very festive with the concert. It would be a pity if it wasn't well supported because of the weather. Enjoy your meet up with your ex work friend. Is OH disappointed the golf course is waterlogged? The Christmas tea sounds fun, though. Is S feeling ok now?

I don't seem to be getting much done this morning, but it's like that some days.

                Morning ladies,
We went to our shopping mall this morning and Asda in there,
It was heaving everyone seemed to be out shopping ,

Best bit was the local primary school were in the centre singing Christmas carol's,
They were doing a grand job and attracted a large crowd lots of clapping and cheering 😁

B thinks he's coming down with a cold , he's not feeling his best
If he still feels like this on Thursday someone else will have to take MIL shopping.

Oma, so sorry to hear B is feeling he is developing a cold. I love to hear children singing, were they collecting money? I wonder how long your Mil stops being rude to family?

Nanto, I hope you manage to keep warm and dry doing your shopping. Are you feeding the family at Christmas.

Daisy, I have mornings like that, I seem to go from one job to another and not finishing anything.

Gemini, We have had several days of changeable weather, I suppose we should expect it this time of year, it was dark and wet very early today.

My Ex Guiders Christmas get-together this afternoon. We made table decorations, exchanged cards, had a Christmas lucky dip and lots of chat of course.

Plant, i think DS1 will be coming for christmas dinner.

It wasn't too bad in town this morning with the rain, but the wind picked up this afternoon.
                    Still blowing a gale now.
                    I bought a few bits in town,but i didn't need much,enjoyed browsing though.

The children were just entertaining everyone , so sweet.
I don't think the lull will last with MIL she' will be just as nasty.

It sounds like you had a lovely afternoon with your ex Guilders

Oma, how lovely to hear the children singing in the shopping mall. Poor B. I hope he's wrong and it was just a passing sniffle. Lots of pampering, please Nurse Oma.

Plant, you and your ex-Guiders friends must have lots to talk about. Lots of shared history and memories. How did your table decoration turn out?

Nanto, the wind picked up here as well. Having a relatively relaxed Christmas Day is no bad thing. We all end up rushing round and exhausted when it's too busy.

Gem, I hope you've had a lovely tea with your friend. What sort of music was the concert in the Library?

After an early lunch OH dropped me off at the garden centre and went for his blood test. I was surprised how busy the car park was, yet it was quite quiet in the garden centre itself. The coffee shop looked packed, though! I got most of the things on my list and had just finished when OH arrived to pick me up. I was going to suggest a cup of tea and a cake in the cafe, but he looked rather pale, and he really just wanted to go home. He's not great with needles! The wind was howling round, and it was a battle to load everything into the car without it blowing out of our hands. The various floods around the Forest had mostly gone by then so we were able to go a shorter way home. I was surprised how tired I was though. I was very glad I'd taken Eva for a walk this morning.

One of the items on my list was some support canes for my collection of orchids (all 4 of them!), but they only had decorative ones. I chose the clear ones as opposed to coloured, but I'm not sure if I like them. I'd rather have natural wooden ones.

                          Good morning.

It's a lot calmer this morning.

Daisy, hope hubby i feeling better this morning.

At some point today we are going to have a stroll round the estate, hand delivering some cards.

                            Good morning everyone.

Nan2, I enjoy a browse around shops, but I have to be in the mood for it!

That sounds a good afternoon Plant.

I hope you had a good rest once you got in Daisy. My mum used to say The wind tires you our, not sure if it's true or not!

How is B this morning Oma?

I hope Lizzie is a lot better.

Daisy, the concert yesterday was baroque music, I enjoyed it very much. A lot of people, came and in fact we had to bring in extra chairs to seat them all
I had a good meal and catch up with my friend . As I was leaving the car park my headlights caught a fox. I slowed right down and watch it cross in front of me. Very big and beautiful. We have seen foxes in that area before as its fairly rural, but never in the car park. It was crossing towards the hotel next door, maybe booking in for the night

Aqua this morning. Hospital with OH this afternoon. DD3 is coming after work and staying the night, as she has an early train tomorrow morning.

I am hand delivering cards where I can,
I donated to our local food kitchen the other night rather than buying stamps,

                              Daisy
                              How is J?
My SIL is the same with needles , if he has to have one either DD or B goes with him as he has been known to fit.
Just as well you had taken Eva out on the morning,
Shame you couldn't sit for tea and cake.

The concert sounds lovely and well attended did they collect for charity?
Hope the hospital visit goes well for S.
We haven't seen our resident fox for a long time , I must ask my neighbour if he had been in her garden lately.

B feeling a bit rough this morning and I have put my back out again so we are a right pair,
MIL getting her hair done today his sister is taking her as she is having her hair done at the same time.
I'm not sure we will get to take her shopping tomorrow it will depend on how we are.

We are quite anxious about the appointment to be honest as we will also get the CT scan results. Upwards and onwards though.
