    Plant, our posts crossed.

I think we all have days like that, when all we can say is "it's not my day"! We don't know what the situation is with OH's eye. It's the one he's been having injections for Macular Degeneration, but it had stabilised and hasn't needed any for a while. We'll have to wait to get the results of the scan, but his vision has changed in that eye, and the hospital said to let them know if there were any changes. When he rang up yesterday they immediately said to go in for a check up today. We were very impressed. Although the eye clinic was very busy (and noisy!) we didn't have to wait long for any of the procedures.

Daisy, DD3 has had a couple of emergency eye clinic appointments, and as in your OH's case was seen very quickly . Hers were put down to ocular migraines in the end.
I hope things are OK for your OH regarding the deeper scan.

Poor B, Oma. He maybe needs antibiotics?

Having a bad night can really set us back the following day Plant.

Good lord Lizzie, fancy someone being thrown out of a wedding reception!

Little E was so sweet in his Christmas concert. SIL and I were so proud
He sang all his songs and did the actions along with the rest of the preschool group. He grinned at us a lot.

Daisy, hope OH's eye can be sorted quickly.

Oma, sounds like B needs some antibiotics.

We spent most of the day putting the Christmas lights up outside.

Hope all those feeling under the weather feeling better soon.

Gem, you have every right to feel proud of little E.
We used to love seeing the granddaughters in school concerts when they were little.

Hubby will be out for his Friday meet up this morning.

Not a lot for me to do today, I'll probably just potter about.

            Good morning everyone.

Nan2, I bet it looks lovely with your outdoor lights on. I hope we get ours up this weekend, or maybe even this afternoon.

            How is B Oma?

No GS2 from school today as he has his Christmas party after school.
I am going to my friend M's this morning for coffee and a catch up. We need some shopping so I may go to Tesco on my way back. Unless OH fancies coming with me in which case we can go together this afternoon.
I have started putting up Christmas decorations so will continue with those this afternoon. I think I will leave the main tree until Sunday.

            Have a good Friday ladies.

Oma, hope B managed to get an appointment.

I've done a bit of tidying up, then made two fruit cakes in the air fryer.
I'll make two more sometime next week, because both sons like one.

That's me done for today. Its an easy dinner for us.

                    Afternoon ladies,
B has an appointment in the morning at the primary care , no appointments available at the Drs.
He's feeling a little better but not much,

I've done a online shop with Asda for tomorrow between 8-9
I could have gone over to the shopping mall but the way my back is I don't think I could walk that far and push a trolly.
Although it is loads better I don't want to take the chance.

                    Gem
I do miss the Christmas school plays , your heart bursts with pride doesn't it😁
Did S go shopping with you?

                    Nanto
I love any kind of fruit loaf ,
I bet your house smells amazing 😁

                    Daisy
How is J's eye today? I hope it feels better , how are you after a busy day?

My Sisters hubby was at the eye infirmary yesterday about his cataract's he has an appointment to have them done on the 2 nd of January so a short wait.

I have done the ironing in a fashion , I tried sitting down to do it but I can't iron that way ,
It was mainly trousers and jeans ,
GSs Christmas presents have arrived, I need to get them wrapped , just waiting for Lucie's , then I'm finished.

Hello everyone. I haven't had a chance to drop in here all day, so I'm trying to catch up now.

Gem, don't you wish you could bottle those moments when the little ones put their hearts and souls into their Christmas performance, whatever it is. I hope GS2 enjoys his Christmas party. Did you get your shopping done? I bet all the shops are busy now. Thank goodness they found the reason for your DD3's eye problem. Does she still get the ocular migraines? I had to look up the difference between ocular migraines and silent migraines (which I get sometimes).

Nanto the air fryer fruit cakes sound delicious. I still haven't tried making cakes in ours. I've got banana to use up and could do with making a banana cake tonight. Are you pleased with your outdoor lights?

Oma, poor B, he must be feeling very fed up. Did he get antibiotics at the primary care? It's dreadful that a vulnerable patient like B can't get to see his own doctor (or any doctor) at his surgery. Hopefully he'll feel better soon. I hope you didn't overdo it with the ironing, your back is more important than neatly ironed jeans. Your sister's hubby is lucky getting such a quick appointment for his cataracts. Is he having them both done at the same time?

OH's eye is feeling better today, although it was throbbing this morning. He's out for a boys' Christmas dinner tonight, so I hope he'll be ok. I felt quite tired this morning after yesterday, but have got better as they day went on. We had an unexpected visitor this morning, and a Sainsbury's delivery. I had ordered a non-alcoholic fizzy wine for Christmas, as I can't have the real thing, and they substituted a low alcohol version. I'm sure the delivery man thought I was being picky returning it as it was "only" 0.5%! Fingers crossed I get some somewhere else - it's actually quite nice. I took Eva out for a good walk this afternoon - I also feel better for being outside for an hour or so.

I'd like to make a start on our Christmas decorations tomorrow, but we'll see!

B doesn't see the Dr till in the morning.
Yes BIL having both eyes done at the same time ,
Hopefully it all goes to plan.

I'm sure Eva enjoyed her walk , it hasn't been too bad here either , chilly but mostly dry, a couple of light drizzles but nothing heavy.

GS came for Storm didn't stay as we didn't want him catching anything ,

We had rain till about 11ish this morning, then it brightened up and stayed fine.

For the fruit cakes,i used the same recipe as last year, when i baked them in the air fryer.

Daisy, pleased OH's eye felt a bit better.
Oma, hope B feels somewhat better tomorrow.

Nan2 do you just put the cake mixture directly into the air fryer compartment?

Daisy I hope your OH is able to go out and enjoy his evening.
The hardly any alcohol thing reminds me of when friends want me to try their Indian meal because it's 'not that hot' . Any amount of chili affects me badly, so I politely decline!

I hope B gets some help tomorrow Oma and gets rest tonight.

I had a nice time with my friend, and her son called in unexpectedly which was nice. I hadn't seen him for years. M and I met when he and my DD2 were toddlers.

I went to Tesco on my own. It actually wasn't too busy, but the roads getting there were gridlocked. When I left the shop to go home, all clear!

Hope all those feeling under the weather feeling better soon.

                              Not going out shopping today.

We are taking part in tomorrow's charity Santa run.
Hubby wants to check the quad over and trim it up.
Macmillan is this years chosen charity.
We have said if its raining we won't be doing the run.

Going down to KFC today for dinner.

Gem, i put the cake mixture in lined loaf tins, like i did if I was baking it in the oven.

If I get time I will post it in the recipes thread.
