Plant, also hope your DD is feeling better.

Asda delivery between 9 and 10, its a big order as i won't be doing another till the end of the month.

      Good morning everyone.

I know Nan2 , we did decide that with OH's reduced immunity we should avoid anyone we knew to be ill as much as possible. Sod's Law though, I had a slight sore throat last night, which is worse this morning and I feel very 'coldy' I have taken painkillers and have cup of tea and large glass of water and will see how the day goes.

OH will be out part of the day playing golf. A Tesco delivery due late afternoon and I must go to buy and post a Get Well card for my auntie in hospital.

        Morning Nanto,Ladies.

        Gem
You can't have E not because you don't want too but needs must , you can't take the risk of S picking up germs, although you can't avoid them entirely it's better not to risk it.
Pleased the traffic wasn't as bad as you expected, I always hated the Metro road although it was always and still is packed with traffic so went slow most of the time , it still stressed me out.

Poor Eva , I hope she's ok today,
Storm loves chicken thankfully no allergies.

        A very long day today,
I've already been to Aldi for my shopping and MILs bacon ,
Then we are picking her up at 11.30 to take her shopping to Morrisons,
Bring her home sort the shopping make the bed etc,
Then take her to a dentist appointment in the middle of Sunderland for 2 pm
Then up to her local chemist for her flu jab at 3 ,
It will be tea time before we get back and if she's in a bad mood it will be a tough day.

WeeGranny, I love your kingfisher, he's very handsome. I hope you've got him on display.

Nanto, I hope your grocery order was complete. Steak for dinner sounds good.

Gem, I'm so sorry little E and family aren't very well, but I don't think you have any option at the moment. You would all feel dreadful if your OH caught their bug, and I think in a way little E will understand. I hope they are soon ok again. Hopefully you are also ok. Has S been prescribed any antibiotic and antiviral drugs to boost her immune system?

Oma, what a busy day for you and B. I hope MIL was in a good mood.

Plant, how are DD and SIL today?

It seems to have been a busy day here at Daisy towers! All week I've been giving the kitchen the evil eye, and this morning I decided action was needed - nothing less than a good spring clean. I usually clean thoroughly as I go in the kitchen, but with OH doing most of the cooking I've neglected it. So this morning in a burst of energy I cleaned round the windows, window sills, work surfaces and cupboard doors and various nooks and crannies. Then it was lunch time and I still had one area to do. We were having lunch when our neighbour phoned to see if I could go round and help her with their dog's post-operative physio. She (the dog) is now feeling a bit better, but isn't so co-operative with her physio exercises. Anyway, doggo relaxed while I gave her gentle fuss and L, my neighbour, was able to do the physio. Then we sat and chatted for a while. She mentioned that Aldi had the type of dog bed in stock that I was looking for. So OH and I went shopping! Of course we came back with more than a dog bed! But by then is was turned 6 o'clock, so OH cooked dinner while I did a few other odd jobs, then this evening I had to do the grocery order for tomorrow.

No plans for tomorrow, except finish the kitchen blitz.

I'm very puzzled! I'm sure there were more posts here today, from several of us??!!

Anyway, I am tucked up in the spare bedroom now, keeping my germs to myself.
              Goodnight everyone.

Gem,you are right, there are quite a few posts missing.

Daisy, my shopping order was complete.

Not sure what I'm doing today.

Yesterday was quite busy, I did post about it,but it's one of the missing posts.

I think dinner will be fish fingers, crispy sliced potatoes and peas.

Good morning everyone, I am back home after a lovely few days away, it was like summer! I needed a jacket first thing then when the sun got working it was just a blouse and skirt. I managed to do 60kms cycling on Wednesday, almost the same yesterday. My knee is less painful now, I hope it keeps improving.

Gem, I do hope you are well enough to go away next week and that S stays germ free.

I will try and catch up on all the posts later on, about the kingfisher, I saw one a few years ago, close by as well, I was cycling along and the kingfisher was only about 2 or 3 meters away, I didn't realise at first what I had seen, I imagined them to be larger, by then he had flown!!! They do have them at the nature reserve I cycle round but I have never seen them there, I have seen the flamingo's though.

                    Good morning everyone.

                    Lizzie, welcome back!

I read your post yesterday anyway Nan2!

There were posts from Plant, Nan2, a long one from Oma about her day with MIL, a short one from Daisy saying back later and one from me. I have no idea where that are now, but when I went back to post at bedtime there was a new one from Daisy and all those previous posts had gone

As I said on the missing post my throat was less sore yesterday, but I didn't feel 100% and had an easy day .
Last night I slept in the spare room. I cancelled this mornings aqua class. I think GS 1 will be here for the day and school pick up for GS2.

Never mind I'm sure they are there somewhere 😁

Flu jab for me this morning then pick Storm up,
I'm tired today with the long and stressful day with MIL yesterday,
So apart from some ironing I'm having the day off 😁

                        Good Friday morning, everyone.

There do seem to be some posts missing, but the post numbers don't have any gaps. They were there when I posted late last night. .

Nanto, wow, what an exotic graphic to start our Fridays off. It's definitely needed to cheer us up this morning - it's dark wet and dreary here today.

Lizzie, welcome back. You did very well with your long cycle rides. Does cycling help with your knee? Fingers crossed it continues to improve. Everyone seems to remember the first, or only, time they've seen a kingfisher. They are amazing little birds. I didn't believe flamingoes really are pink until I saw them for the first time.

Oma, I'm not surprised you're tired after yesterday. Can that ironing wait for another day? I'm sure Storm would enjoy some extra cuddles.

Gem, take care of yourself. I do hope OH doesn't catch it as well.

I must finish the kitchen clean up today. Groceries aren't due till 7 pm, but no other plans for today.

Nice to hear your home safely and your knee is improving.

Hopefully your not going to be unwell for your holiday ,
Plenty of vitamin C is needed.

                          Daisy
Once you finish the kitchen sit with your feet up and read your book 😁
Yes my ironing could wait I suppose,😁

                          Nanto
I think fish fingers and crispy sliced potatoes would be my choice too,
I love fish fingers sandwiches too😁

Had my flu injection went for dog ,
Came home then GS sent us a photo of a random old man sitting in their sitting room ,
He said he knows us but he's obviously got dementia, he was sitting on their garden wall in the rain so DD has brought him in and rang the police.
GS said he stinks but DD being a social worker it natural for her to help .

Oh dear Oma,I hope they find out where he belongs soon! Your DD is very kind.

Miserable day here. GS1 have just sat and watched a film. We could do without going out in the wet to get GS2! We are not supposed to park anywhere near his school, and I don't , but as it's raining and I have a cold I think we can make an exception and park in the street the school is on!

Oma, the kitchen is very nearly finished, but I think I'll take y our advice and settle down with a good book. How kind of your DD to look after the old man. It sounds as though he's very hungry.

Gem, when you're feeling under the weather you have to make things as easy as you can for yourself. Parking round most schools is a nightmare, and even more so when it's raining. Take care. Hopefully the cousins will entertain each other.
