That was a lovely gift Daisy.
Hubby's phone is past its sell by date. I'm buying him a new one like mine for Christmas.
I've been trying to coax him into letting me buy it now,but he insists on waiting until nearer Christmas.
    I despair sometimes.

      Good morning.

I'm going into town this morning with hubby.
I just need a few bits.

When he leaves his pal,we'll meet up, then hopefully go to visit sis in law if they are going to be in.

We should get our KFC today.

        Morning Nanto,
        Lovely morning bear🐻
        Enjoy your trip to town,

Nanto I'm a bit like your hubby with phones I hate changing mine and I refuse to have a new one,
I always get Bs old one when he upgrades , it's good enough for me 😁

I have another dental appointment this morning then go to pick Storm up,
DD away with work for two days so we having him during the day and SIL will pick him up after work.

        Daisy
I bet the girls were thrilled with the nutribullet although technically it was for mum & dad😁
It's difficult introducing a new dog into the pack but I'm sure with plenty of meet ups they will settle into a sort of understanding,
I don't think Eva baring her teeth necessarily means aggression as you said just maybe a warning that she is there,
Did she eventually get in the garden to meet Daisy?

Storm is a very placid dog but there are some dogs he doesn't like,
He doesn't like intact male dogs at all and will avoid them as much as he can when DD is walking him.
I suppose it's like humans not liking certain humans isn't it.

          Good morning everyone.

          I love a KFC Nan2.

Daisy, I hope the dogs eventually become friends. Our cat Daisy was one of the loves of my life, so it's a good name

Oma, I had a dental appointment today too but have cancelled.
This sore throat seems to come and go, and I have a tickly cough. I cancelled my aqua yesterday too. I don't feel too bad about cancelling this appointment as if you remember I turned up for my check up last month only to be told my dentist was on long term sick leave and no one had let me know!

We have dropped the heart monitor back at the hospital and OH is on her way to golf now. Library for me this morning. A free afternoon now I'm not going to the dentist. I need to finish my unpacking and put a wash on, but not planning on much else as we have a busy day tomorrow.

I don't blame you if your throat is sore ,
I remember you saying they didn't even let you know.
Mine was just to have a look at my one tooth denture to see if needed adjusting but everything was fine.
First time I have been to the dentist and didn't have to pay 😁

Dog went mad when we picked him up he cried and whined , you would think he had been abandoned, rather than being on his own for just 1 hour .

              Aww, bless him Oma.

Well the dentist receptionist phoned to cancel today's appointment anyway!! She was going through today's appointment list before tackling the emails. So I wouldn't have been going anyway! At least they let me know. I have another appointment now. Third time lucky

It was my first time at the library with the temporary post office there. I felt sorry for the man there, very lonely with no co workers.

Oh well Gem, at least they let you know about cancelling this time.
Did they have many customers at the post office?

Oma, hope storm is now his usual placid self.

Enjoyed my trip into town. i didn't buy much as we didn't need much.
Managed to get some BirdsEye cod in breadcrumbs from Iceland, they didn't have any last week.
I avoided the butchers because i know i would have been very tempted and i don't really have the room in either freezer.

Pretty dismal weather today. I have been to my once a month Ex Guiders meeting this afternoon. We are all getting on a bit but nice to get together once a month.

Oma, I am sure Storm was relieved to see you both, he knew he was safe then. He is a big baby really.

Nanto, I wish I still enjoyed a trip into our local town. It was a lovely shopping area till they pulled down the heart of it.

Gemini, I hope that you are seeing the last of your cold.

Daisy, It sounds like you had a lovely family get-together for your H’s birthday. I hope the dogs will be able to eventually become friends.

Just sat down for a catch up.

Nanto, y our OH sounds more and more like mine. He is exactly the same over phones, and pretty much anything that is worn out and needs replacing. "now" is never the right time, he'll always want to wait for birthday, Christmas, a blue moon, whatever! Did you get y our KFC today?

Oma, a trip to the dentist is never nice, but at least it didn't hurt your pocket today. Storm is such a love-bug. He was obviously delighted to see you. Cooper is in tact and he often finds neutered males aren't too keen on him. Luckily now, he's got two ladies in the family dog pack.

Gem, your sore throat seems to be coming and going, but I think you were right to cancel aqua and the dentist. I hope S's results of the heart monitor are good. How long is the temporary post office going to be at the library? I hope it brings more people into the library and they will become regulars. I know it's doing well, but a few extra users can't be bad.

Plant, it's been dull and chilly here today as well. I got two loads of washing out this morning, and took them in at 5 o'clock, still not properly dry. It's such a pity so many town centres have been destroyed by so-called progress. It really feels the nights are drawing in now. I took Eva out just after 5 and it was going dark. I'm sure you and your Guider friends still have lots to chat about, and it's lovely that you can still meet up. My GD1 is still helping at Rainbow. She loves it and looks forward to going every week.

I didn't sleep well last night, and haven't felt like doing much today. I think the treatment on Friday and the busy week-end has caught up with me. I'll try and get an early night tonight.

Nan2, they had a few customers for the post office while I was there. The man said word is getting round more that they are there.

Daisy, more customers for the library, and especially the cafe will hopefully be a welcome side effect. It will be there for up to 6 months.
I hope you sleep better tonight.

Plant , I am heartily sick of these colds and sore throats I must admit.

                        Good morning.

Gynae check up for me at the hospital this morning.
No plans for the rest of the day.

Daisy, we did have our KFC and we both enjoyed it.

Gem good to hear there was a few customers for the post office.

Dinner is corned beef hot pot. Probably serve pancakes with it.

                          Good morning ladies.

Nan2 not a fun thing to be doing but hopefully all will be well. Good to get it over with in the morning too.

                          Aqua morning and coffee after.
Two unconnected appointments for OH this afternoon. Hearing clinic for hearing aids review then hospital for the monthly appointment with injections and course of tablets.
As they are both in town we will go by bus. It's at least 10 minutes walk between the venues but we will have plenty of time.

                            It's getting parked isn't it,
I seen on the news last night about the Christmas parking in the centre of York , locals complaining that they are blocking disabled places along with a lot more for a full 6 weeks ,
I think locals should be able to get a permit to allow them through.

Another dog day so I won't be going out far,
B forgot his COVID jab yesterday, didn't remember till last night so he is going to try to book another one.

Oma, parking charges in York are astronomical, and as you say, finding a spot is a headache in itself. Even without the extra Christmas visitors!
Were it just the hospital appointment today we would drive though as parking in the horrible multi story at the hospital is free when she's having a treatment. We would have to pay to park somewhere else for the hearing place first though, so the free bus makes sense.

                                Good Wednesday morning, everyone.

Nanto, I hope your check up has gone well. Not a pleasant process, but as Gem says it's better to get it over with in the morning. I've never made corned beef hotpot. Is it layers of corned beef, potatoes and onions. Does the corned beef sort of blend or melt into the other ingredients or does it stay in layers?

Gem, it's a busy day for you. It makes sense to use the bus when parking is such a nightmare. I hope all goes well with both S's appointments. Will they give her any feedback on the results of the heart monitor today? Multi-story carparks are generally horrible I find. The main one at our hospital is just two storeys and we always park on the 'roof' which is at ground level, if possible. The lower level is very dark and it's all but impossible to see the lines for the parking bays. We always take my car because the spaces aren't long enough for OH's! We still have to pay. It's only Β£2 for cancer patients, as opposed to between Β£6 and 8 otherwise.

I think sometimes people don't use libraries because they're not familiar with the layout, systems etc, so hopefully 6 months with the Post Office there will help. A cafe is always a good facility to have. It takes a bit of time for the word to get round when there are changes to the Post Office. Our village was without one for a couple of years, but we've now got a counter in the local Co-op/Welcome shop.

Oma, I hope B can get his Covid jab rebooked quickly. Have a lovely day with that big softie - Storm, of course. I bet you've got a delicious dinner ready for him. How is GS1 getting on in his final year at Uni?

I slept better last night, but am still very tired today. So I'm not going to dog training. It would be ok if OH could come with me, but he goes to his pal's on a Wednesday to play with cars. This is one of the friends who helped him with his kit car, so he's returning the favour.

No particular plans for me, but we've got a new mattress coming for our bed on Friday, so at some point we need to give our bedroom a good spring clean. I can't pull the bed out on my own so it will have to wait until OH is around.
