Nan2, I have read your thread xx

Daisy, your treatments are making you tired, plus you have had an extremely busy time recently. Take it easy as much as you can.

All OH's appointments done and dusted for now.
She had her injections today and begins the next three week cycle of tablets tomorrow.

        Evening ladies

        Daisy
GS is loving the last year so far,
He rang at tea time to tell us about his day , it had been a really interesting day apparently.

Don't try and pull that bed out yourself .

B got his COVID re booked.

SIl came early for the dog he has pulled his back so couldn't lift carpets today ,

Nanto, many thanks for the update in YEO.

Gem, how did S get on wit the hearing check? Glad to hear everything else went smoothly. Is she having any side effects from the tablets?

Oma, It's good to hear your GS is having such a good time on his course. Three years passes so quickly but it sounds as though he's making everty minute count. Poor SIL. I hope his back is soon better. I bet B won't forget his rebooked jab.

There's no danger of me pulling our bed out by myself. It weighs a ton! I did pull out OH's bedside table, and a large chest of drawers, which slid easily on the hard floor. Tomorrow I'll do my bedside table and the dressing table. It's amazing how much dust gets behind and under furniture.

Our little great nephew is one today. It doesn't seem possible that it's a year since we were biting our nails waiting for news.

Good morning everyone, Nanto, I do hope that all is well, if you aren't worrying it must be OK! Enjoy your holiday.

I have made the decision to stop the fifty fit, aqua, after 10 years! I can do it, I do it, I love it, but, the pain in my knee afterwards is unbearable!! I had so much pain on Monday evening I couldn't walk or even stand! GD2 came for a meal and she did all the work!!!! We had a good meal, very good actually, sauerkraut mashed with potatoes etc, her favourite!! DS1 came to pick her up afterwards, after she had won all the board games that was! I have told him a few times I have pain from my knee, he must have thought I was exaggerating, he saw on Monday that I wasn't, he was very strict with me and asked what I was playing at!!!!! He said "you go to the gym daily, bike everywhere so you get enough exercise, then you have to go and overdo it", he was right as well, so, even though I do enjoy the lesson I have decided to stop going.

I have another scan on Wednesday to see how the cyst is filling up, again, plus the fluid in my knee.

Oma, your GS's 3 years at uni have flown by.

Daisy, don't go moving heavy furniture on your own.

I hope I have caught up on the messages , oh Gem, the library, the post office may do well in the library, we have no post offices left now, they are usually in book stores. Parking is so expensive in towns and cities here. The underground parking here in the village is free for the first 2 hours, I hardly use it as I go on the bike!

              Feels chilly out there.

Lizzie, its a shame you feel as though you have to give up the aqua.

I'm going to get some packing done today and need to print off the boarding passes.

Dinner is cheesy mash, chicken and bacon slie, veg and gravy.

                Morning ladies

                Nanto
Not long now I bet your looking forward to some warmth,
                Love miss Halloween 😁

                Lizzie
Your DS is right you do get enough exercise,
I think your wise dropping the Aqua if your getting so much pain,

We love sauerkraut and potatoes we do it with German spiced sausages we buy direct from the German deli.
We get a batch of sausages maybe twice a year delivered and freeze them.

Off to take MIL shopping today,
We are going to Tesco for a change ,
We just know she won't like it but she has asked to go so see how long it takes her to complain😁

Having trouble with the satellite box in our bedroom , B went online and it said there is a problem that it would be resolved by tomorrow,
We don't use the TV in the bedroom much but I like to watch countdown while I'm drying my hair on a morning on catch-up.

                  Good Thursday morning, everyone.

Nanto, your Hallowe'en friend looks ready to party! . How lovely to be packing for a sunshine break. Dinner sounds very tasty. I may pop round!

Oma, have fun shopping in Tesco. You never know, MIL may just enjoy it. I hope the satellite box is fixed soon. It's surprising how you miss something you do every day.

Lizzie, it's so sad when you have to give up on something you enjoy, but your knee is clearly telling you to stop. It seems parking everywhere is getting more and more expensive. There's a huge outcry here because Forestry England are starting to charge for the Forest car parks from next year. We know what will happen, people won't want to pay and will dump their cars on the Forest verges, which are actually SSIs, or on the roads which are already very narrow and have free-roaming livestock on them. This will impact locals who walk their dogs two or three times a day, as well as visitors.

I can't believe what I've just done! I've booked a delivery slot for Sainsburys for 23rd December!! Slots fill up very quickly so I've ignored my principles about not starting Christmas until 1 December. It feels as though I've sold my soul!!!

                    Good morning everyone.
Busy with little E so will come back and post properly later.
He doesn't have a nap anymore so less time

Gem, little E is growing up so quickly! I know you make the most of each stage, but I bet you wish you could slow time down a bit.

Gemini, Busy GM, You will be missing that free time when he slept.

Oma, hope all went well with the Tesco shop with Mil, her choice. No doubt she will have some complaints. Sorry to hear Sil has hurt his back, lifting heavy carpets and then fitting them can’t help. Doesn’t seem possible that GS is in his last year at Uni.

Daisy why can’t the Forestry Commission consult the local community when making decisions like that. It is obvious that people will try to avoid the cost. I hope you are getting over your busy weekend.

Nanto, holiday getting closer, do you make lists of what you need to take. Tablets go on the top of my lists.

Lizzie, are you pounding the bottom of the pool when you do your Aqua class? That wouldn’t help your back. I used to love my Aqua classes.

Plant, it isn't my back but my knee,, it has been bad for years so I have to take care of it!!!!

Plant, we, as a community, are trying to communicate with FE on both car parking and a well-used bridge they want to demolish, citing it as too expensive to replace. It's proving an uphill task, unfortunately. We've been told we can park for free if we are members of FE, at a cost of £92 a year. Some FE areas are able to purchase an annual subscription to cover just the car parks in that area, but we are not being offered that. We've pointed out the problems there will be because of people parking illegally, but they aren't responding.

Lizzie, that's a pity that you have to give up a form of exercise which you love. Aqua is supposed to be a lot gentler on all our joints than any land exercise. My knees can hurt though, especially if I'm not deep enough.

                              Nearly holiday time Nan2

                              Christmas shopping slots already Daisy!!
You are so right. No cot, no nappies, no bottle, now no nap - I'm not ready for our baby growing up so fast!

Oma how did Tesco with MIL go? Not too bad I hope!

Plant I love my time with little E,but yes I did appreciated the two hour long afternoon naps!

We spent time in the garden today. Apple collecting , golf and sandpit. Later I had a nice rest whilst he watched Thomas the Tank Engine. A dvd which his 13 year old cousin loved at his age. Then of course we got the train track out
The little girl and her mum from next door came round for a short play after tea. The year difference in age is a lot at two and three, so they play separately. They seem to enjoy seeing each other nevertheless!

Gem, describing your day with little E takes me right back to time spent with our two GDs! GD1 still had an afternoon nap in the summer leading to her 4th birthday. GD2 didn't, and it made a big difference. I do think young children like playing alongside other children, even if they don't seem to interact very much.
