    Good morning everyone.

Oma, poor B, I hope he feels better soon xx

Have a nice time in town Nan2.

We have friends (the ones we went to the Murder Mystery Night with) coming for tea tonight. OH is making a creamy chicken and mushroom pasta dish which I love, and I am making apple crumble.
No other plan as such, but we have earmarked a few properties for a short October break, and want to narrow that down today.

      Good Saturday morning, everone.

Nanto, of course you're allowed time off - but it shows how much we all missed you. Today looks like another day out meeting up with DS2 and DIL later. Best wishes for their anniversary. Where are they going? Will you be able to eat out - another day off from cooking sounds great. xx

Oma, poor B. He must be feeling really fed up with that cold. I hope it clears up quickly. I bet Storm is loving his holiday with you, and his daily walks with the dog walker. I hope DD and family are enjoying their holiday.

Gem, tea sounds delicious and I bet your friends are looking forward to seeing you both again. Good luck with finding the perfect place for an October break. Are you staying fairly local?

Wee Granny should be on her lovely holiday by now. I hope she has a great time.

Plant, thinking of you and hoping you're on the mend. xx

It's quite a nice sunny day here, so I'll get some washing in and hope it will dry outside. Our lovely neighbour has just come round to cut the lawn. I did the edges yesterday and was going to do it this afternoon, so it's very kind of him to help. He's got a brilliant lawn mower that makes short work of our little lawn, and leaves it looking really neat.

Other than that, no plans. I got some whole sea bass yesterday, so I'll cook them for dinner - it's not something OH would fancy cooking!

I've just spent time portioning food up for storm and chopping veg to cook for him.
I went to Lidl and bought beef mince, Turkey mince , pork mince and diced steak.
        Plus chicken thighs.

Did the minces and chicken but could I heck find the diced steak then remembered I had it in my hand when I was looking at the beef mince and I must have put it back on the shelf.
I bought fish pieces that I'm leaving out for his tea.

I will get the steak tomorrow at Aldi, I'm not walking over there just for that.
Oh and I forgot Lemons 🙄
I did want to stew the apples today but they can wait another day.

We went to B& M before Lidl needed some things and deodorant the price of deodorant now is shocking

            Thinking of you all.

Still feeling rotten, I think it is the treatment for the infection. Not doing much, have spent most of the day next door with GD and H. DD and Sil are away for the night. I was going to stop taking the tablets but DD and Sil persuaded me to carry on.

Plant, that's horrible, but you need to clear up the infection. Sometimes the cure is worse than the ailment, isn't it. Get as much rest as you can.

Nanto, I bet it's still nice and warm in Majorca. They'll have a lovely time.

Gem, I hope you have enjoyed seeing your friends this evening.

Oma, I find myself portioning up food for Eva every 5 days or so. I usually do about 3 kg at a time, but this last month I ran the freezer down and was glad the delivery turned up on time today. Their minimum order is slightly over a month's worth of food for her, so a couple of months a year I skip an order, but it's always a bit nail-biting, in case I've miscalculated.

I got a couple of loads of washing dried outside, and did a bit of gardening, including sweeping up the patio, which was fun with the wind gusting every so often!

                  Good morning.

Hubby just gone to pick his brother up for the car boot sale.

I've got a load of light colours in the wash.
Hope i get them dried outside.

Chicken stew for dinner with pancakes.

                  Have a good day ladies.

Good morning, it is still very warm here, almost hit the 30 degrees again yesterday!

Plant, I do hope that you are soon feeling better.

I have been busy sewing a few days then hoovering through to get rid of all the bits and pieces! I even got my car cleaned yesterday morning, it shines again and I can see where I am going.

I met my friend yesterday afternoon, both on the bikes, she has chronische leukaemia , she has been having immune therapy? for almost 24 years now, I was with her at the hospital the day that she agreed to accept the treatment , 24 years on, she is still have the treatment and living a good life, away on holiday most of the time. Next week she is going to the Azores with a good friend of hers, last week she returned from Greece with her partner, etc etc. She loves her holidays!

Nanto, I have never heard of the village that you visited, I did have a look on Google though!

I am going to the sport school later then hope to get to DS1. One of the men from the sport is walking the Porto Santiago de Compostela way with his cousin this coming fortnight.

I have beetroot boiling, it was fresh from my veg man, then on the way home I bought some pears to stew, they are in the slow cooker now with ginger.

                      Morning Nanto,Ladies

Well we woke with a start this morning, phone rang at 5 to 4 .
It was DD ringing from America , her ring door camera alerted her to someone climbing onto her bin to get onto the garage roof.
She couldn't see who it was.
So we quickly got our dressing gowns on and drove down.

Thankfully everything was secure no break ins.
We now think it might be the young man next door had been locked out and used her bin to access his back garden to get in the back. He has done it before but when DD was at home.

Well of course we couldn't go back to bed so while I was there I cleaned the litter tray fed the cats and fish
Came home stripped the beds got that in the wash , had a good clean through washed doors etc and then had a shower all before 6 am.
It's going to be a long day, I have a little bit of ironing to do but I will leave that till later I can't be bothered now.

                      Plant
How are you today? Is it antibiotics your on, B is on them and they are making him feel really sick. Thankfully only one more day to go for him.

                        Good morning ladies

Goodness me Oma, that's no way to start your day!

So sorry to hear you are still under the weather Plant.

It sounds as though your friend is doing really well Lizzie.

Daisy there is a minimum order for the raw cat food we buy, we fill a drawer of the outside freezer with it. We don't have any portioning up to do though. The cats don't seem keen any more, so I am giving them a rest from it then will give it again until its all gone. It's expensive, so although good for them if they are not liking it I will save my money!

Golf for OH today, I am going over to DD1's to be with GS1 while she goes to celebrate a friends 50th with a group lunch and walk. GS was coming here , but I had a message asking if I would mind going there instead. I don't mind at all, it's only a 10 minute drive.

                          Good Sunday morning, everyone.

Nanto, I wonder if the eclipse of the moon this evening will be as pink as the one in your graphic? I. hope it stays fine to get your washing dried. I love pancakes, but I'm not very good at making them. GD1 makes them for breakfast when she's here, though.

Oma, what a rude awakening! No wonder you didn't go back to bed afterwards, you must have felt quite shaken. You certainly deserve a nap to get through the rest of the day. I'm sure B must be feeling the effects of the early start as well. Thank goodness he's on the last day of the antibiotics.

Gem, it's the same for us - a minimum order for the dog food - it's only 7 kg for the courier service and that's to ensure it stays frozen in transit. It's 17 kg for the van delivery, and that fills about a third of our chest freezer in the garage. It seems that cats are much more choosey about food, or discerning maybe, so perhaps they do need a change. Have a lovely time with GS1. Will you go out if the weather is nice? I hope S is enjoying her golf.

                          Plant, how are you today?

My OH has gone to the Beaulieu Auto Jumble today. He did suggest I went as well, but I politely declined. He muttered something about getting a sandwich there, so I think he's intending to have a good look round. So I've had a relaxing morning, doing exciting things like giving myself a pedicure! I need to go and make some bread though, and do a few jobs in the kitchen like cleaning the hob. Such fun.

I have stood doing more ironing than I thought I had , my back is killing me .
I then tried to put the bottom sheet on but our mattress is so deep and heavy it's gone on a bit haphazard,
I was trying to save B the job he said I've just made it harder as it's shocking 😁

While I was there I cleaned the drain in the wet room floor , it doesn't take long so easy to do.

Buzz is on prescription food for his thyroid and although expensive he seems to like it thank goodness.

I wonder what J will come home with 😁
It's not somewhere I would go either, but boys with toys comes to mind 😁

Your friend seems to be doing great ,
Is your beetroot done, do you pickle it?

                            Nanto
                            Did your washing dry?

The great north run up hear today so lots of roads blocked off and the metro is very busy.

Oma, what an early start to your day. Glad all was well.
The washing dried lovely. It was quite warm this morning.
Had a little shower about 2ish,so its a bit cooler this now.
I had a bit of time spare earlier,so i have made a pile of crepe style pancakes for the freezer.
