Wow, it was very warm in town.
We had a coffee in the shade.
When we went for dinner, the cafe had the air conditioning on,which was welcome.

I only got mince and bacon at the butchers,i knew i wouldn't have room for more stuff in the freezer.
Got some fresh salad stuff and a tub of coleslaw. oh,and some onions.
Hubby stocked up on sweets. Must admit i got some as well.

Daisy, lovely to have a visit from DS2 and family, while hubby is away.

Oma, we tell our kids and grandkids not to buy us anything for birthdays, they don't listen either.

It was lovely to see DS2 and family, including Cooper. The girls had fun composing some "Minecraft" music on the piano, and we put the world to rights and caught up with the last week. The dogs tired each other out, once Cooper had made sure I had one of his best hugs. He weighs about 38 kilos and he's quite determine to show his affection, but he's also quite gentle. Luckily.

Nanto, that sounds like quite a long shopping list - I hope you got everything you wanted. Did you get rain from those dark clouds?

Gem, I' sorry to hear your throat isn't any better. I hope you're having a rest today and will be fit for the birthday celebration tomorrow.

Oma, I hope you're having a great birthday, and lovely presents as well. Eva was distracted from worrying about OH while Cooper was here, and now she's sitting with me, sleeping. Tonight I'll take her next door with me, so another play date with Missey. They are less boisterous together than she is with Cooper.

It's got much warmer here today - currently about 25C, and the wind is warm too. It's dried the washing a treat.

Although it has been warm, there has been quite a lot of cloud. I have been indoors most of the day. Went to lunch with GD and H then her cousins came to play. I fell asleep, probably the glass of wine at lunch time.

Oma, I hope you have been thoroughly spoiled.

Daisy, Nice for you to have family visit and a hug from Cooper. I hope the kit car arrived safely, I bet it was admired by everyone.

Gemini, sorry to hear your throat is still sore, wine is good to lubricate it.

Daisy, I hope you and Eva have had a nice evening.

Lunch time wine makes me sleepy too Plant.

Air conditioning is certainly welcome on hot days Nan2.

I hope you have had a nice birthday Oma

I have felt pretty rotten with my cold today and done very little. Off to bed I go now. Goodnight everyone xx

Gem, I hope a good night's sleep will help you to feel better tomorrow.

Plant, I lunch time glass of wine is very relaxing, and you probably needed the sleep. I think the hot heavy weather can make you drowsy as well. Yes, thank you, the car arrived safely. It will be interesting to see how is compares with all the other cars at the meet - they're all the same kit, but could end up looking quite different.

Nanto, sorry my earlier post crossed with yours and I didn't see it. I'm sure you welcomed the air con while you were having dinner. I hope it was tasty.

I've had a lovely evening. Our neighbour's youngest DD was there when I arrived, with their 22 month son, who is absolutely gorgeous. L had made a delicious veggie curry, which we ate in the garden. It was much cooler by then, but still pleasant to sit outside. Eva has felt the heat today, and is now very tired. OH and all the other cars went to the RAF museum at Cosford, which he said was very interesting. They are very lucky and having great weather, although I think he's finding the pod accommodation just a bit too basic. I imagine they will all sleep like logs, even so.

              Good morning.

Gem, hope you feel a bit better today.

Daisy, glad you had a lovely evening yesterday.
I bet your hubby will be glad to see his own bed when he gets home.

We are eating out today. Its at a pub about 20 minutes away. It's carvery day, and it's a lovely meal.
There is 7 of us going for a birthday meal for DS2.
Its not his birthday until Wednesday, but him and DIL are going away tomorrow.

I think the weather is forecast for another warm day today.

Good morning, Nanto, I love the carvery when I am in the UK, enjoy the meal!

Gem, I hope you are feeling better today.

Daisy, I thought those pods were comfortable!

GD1 had her last day at the child care for work experience on Friday, she was loaded with gifts, from the children, parents and the staff, she was going 2 days a week so the children got to know her. Now she is looking forward to a holiday in Spain, leave tomorrow.

GD2 loved Praag, she told her parents that she is certainly going to go again, a fantastic city!

I am going to oil my kitchen tops, I am keeping myself occupied!

                  Good Sunday morning, everyone.

Nanto, enjoy your carvery lunch. I hope dS2 has a lovely birthday. Where are they going for their holiday?

Lizzie, your GD1 has been very popular with the children, parents and staff. I'm sure they will miss her. How long is she going to Spain for? GD2 had a great time by the sounds of it. Do you think she will go back to Praag - perhaps a family holiday? What do you use to oil your kitchen tops? We have a wooden worktop in the utility room, and I'm afraid we neglect it very badly. I don't think the pods where OH is staying are very luxurious - no beds, they're sleeping on blow-up mattresses and sleeping bags, and there isn't even a chair in the pod, which OH didn't realise until he came to put his socks on! It's little things like that that make you realise you're no longer a youngster.

Gem, I hope you're feeling better this morning, and can have a relaxing day.

I've got up early for me to get some jobs done before it gets too warm.

                    Morning ladies,
                    Nanto

                    Lizzie
The children will miss GD1, is GD2 home now?

How do you feel today , will you get out for the meal tonight?

                    Plant
My DD always says if she is out and has a glass of wine at lunch time she needs a nap after😁

How are you today did you sleep well?
It sounds like you had a very nice evening ,
I had veg curry at the Indians when we went with GS on Friday.

Out for brunch with the family this morning,
Just had a text from DS wishing me happy birthday, better late than never I suppose 🙄

It's already very warm, we didn't sleep much last night, despite all the windows open there was no breeze to cool down,
We were up having a cuppa at 3 chatted a while then went back to bed to toss and turn for another few hours .

                      I love a carvery Nan2, enjoy yours.

I hope your OH has a good time Daisy, but I suspect he will be thankful for his own bed when he gets home!

Your GDs are getting around Lizzie!

                      Lovely sunny morning here.
I feel less ill than I did last night, and I think better than I did this time yesterday morning, so that's progress!

It was very hot indeed last night. Have a nice brunch.
I'm hoping to go out tonight. If not I want them all to go as I will feel awful cancelling a table for 10 at short notice. I know what I will have if I do go so I will get OH to bring it home for me! Hopefully I will go though.

Gemini, I hope you are feeling a bit better today, enough to join in with your friends.

Daisy, your OH is certainly having to rough it, hotel next time perhaps.

Oma, I like a veg. Curry. Sorry you are not sleeping. Enjoy your brunch.

IMG_3622.jpg IMG_3620.jpg IMG_3612.jpg Been out for a lovely walk with DD this morning. Sat with an iced coffee and watched the cricket when we got back. We came via these lovely animals on the way home!
Then met this lovely girl who’d decided to have an adventure! Luckily we found her owner after knocking on lots of doors who seemed quite unconcerned that she’d escaped!
I’m planning on having a quiet afternoon 🤞

Wow it's so hot and getting hotter,
Had a lovely time with my lot and even more presents,

The place we went to has only been open a few months ,it's by our shopping mall,
So when we left we popped next door to Sainsbury's for some fresh cream to go with some M&S strawberries we bought yesterday.

Maybe she has a habit of escaping but it's too hot to be out and about for her,
I am pleased you found her home.
