Pleased to hear Finley is on the mend. Lovely that your DD is having a treat from her son.I am sorry you had a disturbed night Oma,
I hope you get a good nights sleep tonight. Lovely picture of the new baby.

Gemini, well you are on your way now, have a lovely restful holiday.

Daisy, I think there are road works everywhere. I hope you are feeling stronger. Reading the description and symptoms of your illness, I hope when the present treatment finishes you have some respite.

Looking after H yesterday was not tiring, just keeping an eye on her in the paddling pool and bouncy castle. H has so much energy, she eventually settled down with some books.

Oma, pleased Finn is on the mend.
Myles sounds as though he is doing well.

Its warm here, and not had any rain.

Hubby has done 2/3 rds of the shed.

I'm not used to being in on a saturday,i don't really like it.
Anyway, kitchen has been cleaned top to bottom and inside out.
I've given the washer a good clean and the dishwasher is on cleaning now.

Plant, pleased it wasn't tiring watching H yesterday.

        Hello everyone

Good evening for you, afternoon for us.
We are checked into our hotel in Calgary.
Our tour guide's flight was cancelled so she's not here yet!!
No trips until tomorrow, so we can all unwind after a very long day of travelling.

I will try to say I bit more tomorrow, but we are here and we are fine 😊

Gem, great to hear that you have arrived safely and have time to relax and recover from the long journey.

Nanto, you must feel you've missed out with not going out today. It's funny, isn't it, we get used to certain things, and nothing would drag me out to the shops on a Saturday, or Sunday for that matter. I got fed up with crowded shops at the weekends when I was working and it was the only time I could shop, so now I prefer to shop in the week, although I don't think shops get as much footfall now as they did before online shopping became so popular.

Plant, I can just imagine H on the bouncy castle and splashing about in the paddling pool. Did you get wet as well? My energy levels go up and down, but with no obvious pattern.

Oma, I bet GS's employers are very pleased with him. Is he still doing the early starts? It's good to hear that Fin is getting back to his normal sunny self, eating and playing with his toys. It sounds as though Myles likes his food, putting on 4 oz in a week. Hopefully having a full tummy helps him to sleep as well. I hope you get a good night's sleep with no coughing.

Great to hear you are there safely,
Have a wonderful time don't worry about us 😁

            Daisy
Yes GS still doing the early shifts it suits him better,
I'm with you about shopping at weekends,
I will only go if I get to the supermarket for them opening otherwise we do without or pop to the garage shop if it's just something small.
            I couldn't do a big shop on a weekend, I hate crowds .

Cough keeping me awake again so no point being in bed .

                  Good Sunday morning, everyone.

Oma, I'm sorry you've had such a bad night again. Are you taking anything for that cough? I was hoping you'd be feeling better today.

Nanto, hello to you and your furry friend.

It's a nice sunny day here. OH has gone to the garden centre to get a few more rocks for the rockery. This afternoon DS2 and family are coming over for a cuppa and a chat and to bring OH a Father's day card etc. Hopefully we'll be able to sit outside.

                  Have a good day everyone.

Good morning, it is warm and sunny here, not 30+ like it was on Friday, that is not my kind of weather.

I got bitten by a horsefly? on my leg yesterday, it was really painful during the night and still is. The tights don't help though.

GD1 came on Friday evening, late, for me anyway. She tried the trousers on had I put together for her, they were perfect so I got those finished yesterday. She is going to Spain in a fortnights time with a friend from college, flying from ......... Cologne! I asked her how they were getting there, that has all been booked, the Flex Bus! Nice to be young. I am panicking how I will get to the station in Rotterdam in September! Usually DS1 would take me to the boat, they travel back from the UK that day so won't be home in time, it is quite easy with the metro though.

DS2 said he would do it but they often go away in September so I will see.

My washing has dried so I will get it off the line, get the balcony cleaned, yet again, so much blossom falling, in fact there is so much blossom it is spoiling the shape of the trees!

Sorry i had to dash off earlier this morning.
Hubby had just gone to the carboot with his brother, and i wanted to do a few jobs.

Washed a load of darks, they are dry,but still on the line,i'll get them in soon.

DS2 and DIL coming for dinner. I'm doing roast beef with all the trimmings.

                        Good morning everyone.

Oma I'm sorry that cough is still bothering you. I hope you feel better soon.

It's 5 am here and we are both reading. OH had slept quite well, me very little .
I feel we will be down for breakfast at 6.30 when it begins!
Tour of Calgary this morning then our coach will take us to a lodge hotel in Banff for 3 nights, with various tours each day. There is down time too and a hotel pool.
Eventually I will write about our trip in the Travel section.
                        Have a good Sunday everyone.

We back from a lovely brunch with DD & SIL, GS and Lucie joined us ,
                          It's so hot ,
All the washing has dried very quickly same as yours Nanto.

                          Lizzie
The mess from the blossom drop is a problem isn't it ,
We always seem to get it on our drive some how and we don't have a tree but 2 doors away does.
I'm sure once you have started your journey in September you will take it all in your stride😁

                          Daisy
I'm just having hot lemon and honey but it's not doing much good to be honest,
It's just a case of riding it out till it goes, it could be worse πŸ˜„
I said to my sister this morning, I will just put my big girls knickers on pull them up and get on with it.

I hope it's nice enough your end to get in the garden,
Doesn't it feel more relaxed when you sit in the garden and chat with a nice drink.
Will they bring Cooper with them?

                          Nanto
A hot day to be making a roast , I hope they all appreciate it , I'm sure they will 😁

Storm loved the garden centre we were at this morning, he got lots of attention,
Lots of treats then went to sleep under the table where it was cool.

DD & SIL had walked him down it's about a mile but it was too hot to walk him back so GS took them back in the car.

Nanto, busy day for you, I could do a murder for a roast dinner.

Lizzie, Horse fly bites are nasty. don’t worry about your transport, I am sure something can be sorted and there are always taxis. Your GD’s are very lucky getting their clothes made for them.

Oma, Enjoy your Brunch with DD and Sil.

Daisy, sun keeps popping in and out here. A pic. Of the finished rockery would be nice.

All of GS1’s family here yesterday for lunch, I just popped in to see them. Unfortunately their 1 year old tried to ride a small trike out of the french doors and feel on his forehead. His dad thought his mum had him. He normally negotiates the door well backwards. Nasty big lump on his head. They love coming here, GGD plays with H and GGS plays football with his Gdad.

I hope he was fine after a cuddle.
It's nice to have them visit especially if you don't see them so often.

Where did you last get your Chicken lattice slices?
I have been too Morrisons, Asda and Sainsbury's, no one has them in stock.
I'm thinking maybe Farm foods have them.

Oma, i get mine from Asda. I had one on last weeks order, but they substituted it wit a pie.
                                I didn't keep the pie.

This is the one i get, although it isn't lattice now. They have changed it.
