H will enjoy the seaside no matter what the weather , children don't mind do they 😁

I thought the shops were closed today, they used to be. I am waiting for a person to do my housework and a man to put my garden straight, expensive day. GD, her OH and H have gone to Brighton for the day. Sunny atm, hope it lasts. I will pop back later.

Housework and a bit of gardening done, gardener coming back on Monday for a couple of hours. Bit disappointed with both the cleaner and I didn’t think the gardener did as much as I expected for the money. It wasn’t my usual cleaner but she was very nice.

Lizzie, I hope you will feel better soon. No point passing it on to the family.

Daisy, how are you feeling after the latest visit to the. Hospital for your treatment. Do the after effects get less with each treatment and when do they finish?

Gemini, was your GS1 enticed by Easter Eggs? How old is he now?

What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Plant, GS1 is 12, and very happy to get his Easter chocolate cavapoo dog!

Oma, Tesco must miss out on a lot of sales with not having a changing room. I try not to have a nana nap (I didn't have time to anyway) because I'd rather make sure I sleep properly at night. I bet your DD's friend was miffed that your DD had spotted such an amazing bargain. I hope she recovered eventually!

Plant, what a shame the gardener didn't get as much done as you'd hoped, but if it's things like weeding it can be very hard to get out all the roots. Our ground is clay and rock hard now. After effects of treatment seem to vary from day-to-day and week-to-week. I don't know when they will finish but the dose reduces over time. after the first 8 weeks. If you have the same cleaner most weeks they probably get into a routine of what needs doing, so perhaps today's was just a bit slow in getting round. Did H and her mum and dad have a good day in Brighton? I hope they had better weather than us - it's rained most of the day.

Gem, yes, the early appointment was good, but breakfast in the middle of the night wasn't! Six o-clock isn't a time I'd even look at food normally, but I have to eat before all the pills. I actually feel better today than yesterday, but tomorrow is anyone's guess! I have never seen "breed" chocolate dogs - they always look just a vague dog-shape. No wonder GS 1 was pleased.

It was lovely to see DS2 and family today. They brought Eva back, and of course Cooper came along as well. They both come charging into the house, dizzy and silly - you'd think they were puppies. But after a while they both fell asleep. I love seeing them playing together. Cooper got a telling off from DS2 - he helped himself to some grapes off the coffee table. They are bad for dogs, but he only got a couple and he's a big boy, so no harm done. He looked so sad when DS told him off though and I just wanted to cuddle him.

Good morning. Looking a bit dull today.

Oh dear Daisy, naughty Cooper, glad he didn't come to any harm.
I wouldn't sleep in the daytime either. My nights are bad enough. In fact I didn't get to sleep till 2.30 this morning.
Hope you are feeling OK this morning.

Sister in law didn't stay long yesterday, when she mentioned money, i quickly changed the subject and asked about her grandchildren.

Plant, what a pity the cleaner and gardener didn't get as much done as you had hoped.

We are going to the farm shop and the garden centre.
We both fancy having fish and chips at the garden centre.
Need to stop for diesel on the way home.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

              Good morning everyone.

Nan2, that's a bright and happy picture this morning

Daisy, how lovely that the dogs are so happy, and thank goodness not too many grapes were consumed!

Today is family day here. I would have preferred tomorrow or Monday but DD2 and family are busy.
DD3 and family are away all weekend so won't be coming. It will be nice to see most of them over the long weekend anyway.

              Have a good day everyone.

                Morning ladies

                Daisy
Poor Cooper, but they really are not good for them
Storm is the same with scones he tries everything to get some but of course they have raisins in.
I have now started if I make some too do two small plain ones he can have with butter on 😁

I often wonder if DDs friend took the expensive vase back , I don't think DD dare ask her 🤣🤣
                Hope your feeling better today.

                Lizzie how are you today?

                Nanto
Good idea changing the subject take her down a different path😁
                Enjoy your lunch out.
I'm the same with sleep, some nights I get very little then one night I will crash out.

Maybe as Daisy said the cleaner will get into a routine the more she visits,
MIL has a girl goes in each week to do heavy work like changing the bed and cleaning the windows,
Although MIL complains she doesn't do them right.
MIL tells her what she wants doing rather than her flitting around doing things that don't need cleaning that day.
Hopefully the gardener does a better job on Monday.

                Gem
Did you have a good day with GS yesterday, did he stay all day?

I did read Tesco were going to bring fitting rooms back in all stores ,
Mind you most of their dresses and trousers are for people 7 ft tall,
I swear I could make a skirt from the material I would have to take off the bottom with most of their dresses .

B woke with another sore throat and my leg and knee is really sore today so we not doing much.
I did my usual clean through then tackled a t-shirt B managed to get grease on ,
I hate when that happens as often I don't discover it till it's washed and dried and I'm about to iron it.
When he's cooking he has a chef's jacket and a apron but never thinks he's going to get splashed with anything so doesn't bother,
Last week he got tomato sauce all over a white t-shirt when he was making something ,
I actually had to put bleach on it as all my usual methods lemon juice etc didn't work.
I was at the point of throwing it away but managed to save it.

Have a good day ladies .

Good morning, Oma, I am slowly improving, I have I have inflammation of the airways. GD1 came yesterday, she walked here and asked if she could do shopping etc for me, she stayed for a meal as I had chicken thighs and veg in the slow cooker, she enjoyed that! I took her home after the meal, I didn't stay, came home and lift wasn't working, yet again, climbing to the 5th floor short of breath almost got me!!!! I was saying to GD in the lift, it is far too warm in there, the ventilation isn't working right, this is the 3rd time in 3 weeks that I know of, they come and repair it, but, the ventilation needs adjusting, I will phone on Tuesday.

Plant, it will be difficult for you, I do hope you find a good cleaner and gardener.

Gem, I hope you have a nice time with the family.

Daisy, dogs can get to snatch something, very quickly!! When I first had my dog I was helping a neighbour with her shopping, she said she craved for a fresh herring from the market, off I went and got her 2 herrings, they were well packed, greaseproof paper etc then in plastic, I got home, put them on the kitchen table whilst I went to the toilet, I got back in the kitchen and the dog is stood licking his lips with all the plastic and paper scattered on the floor!!! Off I went, back to the market for the herring!! That was one of his many thefts!

I slept fine but woke in the middle of the night to someone making a noise on the balcony, I think it is the neighbour under me, he has cancer of the lungs, he has had years of treatment, on the last scan they saw it was returning so he is on a last chance chemo scheme! Poor man, he told me he feels really ill from it this time, I think he wakes and goes out for a smoke on one of those vape things. I can't complain about that can I, poor man. Maybe it wasn't him

I was trying to make a new post about drug use, but, I can't get my head around how to do it today, so, I will post it here.

I was just reading about the drug problems in Stoke on Trent etc, just the other day, a young man, not far from here, was high on cannabis and chopped his mother's head off!!! He placed it in an Ikea bag, put it in his car and went for a drive, the police stopped just up the road from here. I seem to recollect reading that another chopped someone's leg off the same day as well!!
