Gosh it's like a whole different season to yesterday!
Breezy but very sunny with clear blue skies.

Daisy, what a palaver with your pills and Eva's - and at your worst time of day xx

NannieN, how lovely your GD's show. All my 3 DDs and my GD danced and took part in many shows. I loved it all

Oma, water came back on whilst we were out. I really hope that treatment helps.

Plant was the gardening person suitable?

WG, we are no good in this house at cat pill giving!

We had a nice little shopping trip with DD and GS3, then lunch together. Then they went off for his nap and we did a Sainsbury's shop.
OH cant be bothered to cook tonight, so we are having fish and chips.

Gem, glad you got the water back on.
It has been like a different season here as well.
Spent most of the day in the garden.

Oma, hope the treatment helps, time will tell.

It's been nice and sunny here, but quite a chilly breeze at times.

I have done very little today - just really tired, and with an 8.30 hospital appointment tomorrow I'm off for an early night.

OH has gone to his wood turning club, and he dropped Eva at DS2's on the way. I was quite relieved I didn't have to go out.

I hope the sun shines on everyone with plans for tomorrow, although I think we are in for some rain.

Good morning, Daisy, good luck today with your treatment.xxxx. Thinking of you!

I am actually starting to improve, I think Wednesday evening was the turning point, I had such a high fever, 40 degrees, that is much lower now so I hope I am soon feeling better. DS1 phoned yesterday, he certainly cheered me up, he told me to take it easy until I feel completely better, as, the elderly can die from the flu. He asked if I felt going to their house for brunch on Monday, DS2 had already asked, I thanked him and said I would give it a miss this year, really wait until I do feel better. That is not easy for me though.

GD1 had phoned yesterday to ask if she could come, I told her not to come, I don't want them all getting this from me. She had told her father that I sounded really bad!!

DS1 and DIL had been in Belgium for 3 days, he had appointments there so DIL goes with him, she can work from the hotel room whilst he goes to the appointments, they were in Kortrijk and really enjoyed sightseeing in the town. These trips are DIL's reward for sitting alone with the young children whilst he was away working, she never complained, just got on with it, even finished her study at the same time.

Oma, I hope that your leg is less painful after the treatment.

I will get a shower and get myself dressed.

              Good Friday morning.

Daisy, hope you slept well. Good luck for your appointment.
Lizzie, glad to hear you are on the mend.

Hubby out for a couple of hours with his pal this morning.
His sister is calling this afternoon.
Saints preserve us, she will be telling us how much they have spent on this, that and tother, and how much their next holiday is costing.
I couldn't care less if they spend a pound or a thousand.

Nanto, I can't cope with people like that, many years ago I was at the daughter of a friend, my only visit, she told me how much the chair had cost that I was sat in!!!!

                  Morning ladies

                  Nanto
                  There is always one ,
A few years ago my DDs friend who is like that was visiting and got on about a vase she had paid £149 for,
She raved about how it was a one of and so expensive,
She showed my DD a picture of it ,
DD went into the kitchen and brought the same one out she had paid £4.99 in TKMax for.
Her friend was furious and didn't speak to DD for a good few weeks,🤣🤣

                  Lizzie
Best to get back to 100% before you start visiting , disappointing I know but for the best.

                  Daisy
I hope your in and out again today,
J is being a star with all the help and Eva will be enjoying her little trips.

                  Gem
Did you enjoy your fish&chips, did you go to the one you normally go to?

I was in bed early as I hadn't slept well the night before and my leg was aching,
I took some pain killers and slept 6 hours solid.
I was up early so did a good blitz downstairs and hall stairs and landing.
Having 5 minutes then we off to Tesco.

Tesco is the only shop I can get my Johnsons tea bags in the Irish blend so worth the journey just for those.

                    Good morning to all.

Nan2, the friend I met for coffee this week is like that. You have to hear about the many holidays and weekend trips abroad and how much all that and everything she buys costs. I tell my OH about it and I say I think it must be something lacking from her childhood which makes her need to show off like this. She has so much more than I have and always has had, and it doesn't bother me. It is so boring though!

Lizzie don't overdo it until you feel fully recovered.

GS1 is coming today. I'm not sure if it's for all or part of the day. We have no plans, so it's fine whatever.

Oma, our posts crossed. LOL about your DD and the friend's vase
I didn't know shops were open today! We did our shopping yesterday for having family over tomorrow as I thought they shut on Good Friday.

I thought the shops were closed today, they used to be. I am waiting for a person to do my housework and a man to put my garden straight, expensive day. GD, her OH and H have gone to Brighton for the day. Sunny atm, hope it lasts. I will pop back later.

                            Everything open here ,
I bought a couple of outfits for my great nieces baby that is due and I looked a a very nice dress but they don't have fitting rooms in Tesco.
If I bought it and it didn't fit it's a 20 minutes drive to take it back .
I might look see if they have it online.

                              Good Good Friday morning, everyone.

Lizzie, I'm glad you're on the mend, but you certainly wouldn't want to risk passing the flu on to the rest of the family. I had to smile at the comment about old people and the flu - when you eventually get old I'm sure you will remember that, but we're not old until we believe we are! Thank you for thinking of me this morning. It must have been hard for your DIL being on her own so much when the girls were little, especially as she was studying as well. I hope that chair of your friend's daughter was an expensive one!

Nanto, I wonder what your Sister-in-law has done/got today. I agree, I don't care what people pay for anything, or what they have. It's the people who count, but Gem is right - there must be something missing from her childhood that makes her so money-conscious.

Oma, I can just imagine your DD's friend's face when she saw your DD's £4.99 vase. That good sleep must have done you good and after all the work with doing your bedroom you must have needed to catch up a bit.

Gem, the weather probably isn't very good to do anything outside with GS1, but I hope he does come and see you. Shops always used to be closed on Good Friday, but I think the supermarkets can open for Sunday trading hours. Still, at least your shopping's done and you can relax today.

Plant, it will be a busy day with your cleaner and gardener both there today. I hope the gardener does what you need doing. H will love having a day at the seaside, although Brighton beach is all pebbles. Even if the weather's not great there's plenty to see and do - it was my favourite place to shop when we lived in Worthing.

Early hospital appointments are great, although I didn't think so when I had to have breakfast at 6.30 this morning! We were back home just after 10 o'clock, and the roads were deserted both ways. DS2 and family have offered to bring Eva back as well, so OH will have time this afternoon to do some wood turning.

Oma, that's annoying that Tesco doesn't have a changing room. Ours does .

I hope the sun stays out in Brighton Plant.

Daisy, I can definitely see the advantage of an early appointment and having the rest of the day to yourself. How are you feeling?

GS1 is here. He doesn't want to go anywhere, which is fine. I'm just about to make his lunch.
