My cupboard doors are not high gloss so I think that helps , I'm not sure I would use sugar soap on high gloss ones although the sugar soap I use comes in a spray bottle already mixed so not gritty.

Were you at hospital long ?
I hope you sleep well tonight , we will be calling J Johnny Craddock soon although Fanny didn't let Johnny do much did she 🤣🤣

Oma, thank goodness you wouldn't use sugar soap on high gloss surfaces - I'm let off the hook - a quick wipe over with anti-bac cleaner will do.

I've posted about my day on YEO, but yes, it was longer than expected but not as long as last week.

Poor Johnny Craddock - he always looked so henpecked. I think J would want to be more in the style of the Galloping Gourmet, Graham Kerr!!!

Good morning, Daisy, I can remember those ice cream wafers being made like that. It is strange how you remember certain things.

I got my balcony table all set up yesterday, but, decided I will get one of the GD"s to help me next time!

Nanto, enjoy your trip to the town.

I may go on the bike to the charity shop in the next village. I got enough work done yesterday.

I have a photo of the table and the washing rack, I did need patience to do it Daisy, it worked though, I do use it a lot so it has been worth the money.

              Good morning everyone.

A lovely fine day to go into town Nan2.

Nice to see GS1 for breakfast Oma.

The hard work paid off with the washing rack Lizzie, and the balcony table looks lovely.

I hope you slept well Daisy. It wasn't a competition for OH yesterday, just play with friends, but she did play well!

Today we are going out to a birthday brunch. This is for GS2, who will be 9 tomorrow. It is a family gathering. Tomorrow, his birthday, he is going with his dad and two friends somewhere exciting (I can't remember where!) GD has a big dance contest in Blackpool tomorrow so she and DD will be there all day. A party with school friends on Monday, so a lot of celebrations to come

DD1 who seems to have something similar to I had is feeling worse this morning, so we are going to take GS1 to the brunch and she stay at home.

              Have a good day ladies.

Gemini, Can’t believe your GS2 will be 9, have a lovely brunch. I hope DD1 will feel better soon.

Daisy, how many of the injections will you have to have. I hope the latest one hasn’t made you feel too poorly. Your OH is doing well with his cookery, you will not starve.

                Lizzie, your balcony looks cosy.

Oma, your GS knows where to find a good meal. How lovely that you are so close.

We had a lovely big brunch followed by birthday cake
We have dropped GS1 off home now. We picked up some shopping for DD1 on the way home. Bread, milk, paracetamol and a couple of treats . She had a little nap in her garden hammock and felt it did her good.

Hello on this sunny Saturday, everyone.

Nanto, the Galloping Gourmet was of his time, but very watchable, wasn't he! That sounds like a serious shopping trip today, but hopefully you've eaten out, so no cooking.

Lizzie, thank you for the photos. I can imagine your washing dries very quickly out there on your balcony - fresh air but sheltered. The washing line was worth the effort. The table looks nice and a good place to have a relaxed drink. Do you have an interesting view from the balcony? I could imagine sitting there for hours watching the world go by.

Gem, another busy (but fun) day for you. I don't know how your baby GS2 got to be 9 without me realising. Please wish your GD the best of luck (not that she will need it - she's very talented) for tomorrow's contest. I have a mental picture of her dancing in the Tower Ballroom, with that incredible sprung floor and amazing acoustics. Your poor DD1 doesn't need this recurring lurgy, does she. Is she a bit run down anyway? I remember several people on here recommending zinc tablets when I had a spell like that some years ago. They worked, and I still take them. Pleased to hear S played well, even there was no prize involved.

Oma, I hope the sun came out for you. Your GS1 love coming to you for breakfast! I know he loves to see you and B as well, but he does like his food. How is Uni going for him? Is he home for Easter now?

Plant, thank you, for asking. Apart from not sleeping well last night, I'm ok today. I've written on YEO about the boring details - I didn't want to clutter up Chat too much.

Gem, glad you had a lovely brunch.

Lizzie, love the table,it suits it where it is.

We went to the retail park first, and i'm sure they chose the coldest part of town to build it.
Mind you, it was chilly in town as well.
But, the sun has been shining all day,so thats a bonus.
We ate out,so no cooking, which is good.

Thank you ladies, yes Nanto, it is a very handy table, the balcony is huge so there is plenty of room for it. I take it apart for the winter and store it in the shed.

Daisy, we are lucky in this area to be between parks, lovely water, trees etc to view, some of the new buildings here in the village certainly haven't got the views that we have. I see lovely willow trees from my kitchen window.

Gem, our posts crossed. I'm sure your DD1 appreciated having a bit of time to herself, especially in the garden hammock. GS2' first day of celebrations have gone very well. It's lovely when you can spread birthdays over a few different days and events. xx

Lizzie, I'm so glad you've got nice views. I love watching willow trees - they're so elegant and dance in the breeze.

I bet your DD appreciate the shopping and treats,
Nice that GS1 went and celebrated with GS 2
What kind of Birthday cake did he have?

                              Nanto
It was the same here sunny but very cold .

                              Lizzie
Sounds a perfect place to have a balcony.

                              Daisy
GS has one more week before Easter break then two more weeks and that's year two done .
He has a job to start while he's on his summer break , he's going to work in a kennel's and Cattery .
It was after 1 before he left , he wanted to clean the car before going out with Lucie's family for a meal tonight.

B painted the two back gates today the garden one and the alleyway one
I went out and put the new numbers on the wheelie bins, I was going to do some tidying up in the garden but it was freezing so that didn't happen.

That sounds a lovely view Lizzie.

Oma, GS2 had a Pokémon cake today. I don't know what type of cake he is having for his party on Monday, but I suspect Lego related
