Morning ladies
GM
Sorry but I had to laugh at the picture you painted 🤣and Typhoid Mary 🤣🤣🤣
Daisy
Such a shame you cooked all that but you have it all as back up for the next lot😁
Happy Birthday to GS I hope he has something nice planned , do you think he will go out somewhere with friends?
Lizzie
I hope your not too unwell today, as Daisy said so many bugs going around everywhere,
Nanto
What a gorgeous graphic, makes you feel brighter just looking at it so calm and summery,
We were out early to the shopping mall, I swear bumped into almost everyone we knew ,😁
We had drama again last night with next door,
7 pm Ambulance arrived knocked on her door she wouldn't answer just shouted abuse out of the bedroom window.
Ambulance man said kym you rang 999 then hung up after saying you were going to harm yourself, we just want to make sure your ok and we can't leave till we have checked you over,
She wasn't having it , so a paramedic turned up and he had a go ,
They then phoned the fire brigade incase they needed to force entry.
Fire engine and 4 fire fighters turned up.
One tried for over a hour to get her to open the door without having to break it down,
He said one way or the other Kym we are coming in
This went on till 10 pm then two female police officers turned up on blue lights ,
She finally at 10.30 opened the door ,
Then her parents turned up , still no social workers or crisis team.
Her Dad managed to get her in the ambulance with quite a bit of force,
She wouldn't sit down , so by the time they were able to get her to hospital it had gone past 11 pm.
1 ambulance with 2 crew, 1 paramedic car and paramedic, 1 fire engine and 4 crew and 2 police officers ,
All off the road for over 4 hours.
Softly softly approach just doesn't work on her , after the fire brigade turned up they should have gone in regardless especially as she was threatening to harm herself
No the wonder people are waiting hours for a ambulance, this is what the mental health teams should be dealing with not leaving it to emergency services. It's shocking.
Her social worker have known well before Christmas that this was going to happen and they did nothing 🤬

Goodness me Oma, what a lot of emergency services just for her.
Lizzie, don’t overdo it now you are feeling better.
Daisy, those meals sound yummy, I am sure they will not go to waste.

I have just spoken with her Dad , they have sectioned her for 72 hours but said it will be 6-8 weeks before she's home again.
The poor people are besides themselves they don't know what else to do too get her help,
Everyone is passing the buck.
He said when they drove into our cul- de- sac last night and seen all the service they were mortified.

Oma, how awful for your neighbour's parents. I can't imagine how worried they must be. It sounds as though someone should have taken the decision to force entry much sooner, but I can understand how the emergency services feel - if they get it wrong they are in all sorts of trouble.
Surely more decisive action could be taken to help and protect both her and people around her if there was one named case worker who had the authority to decide what to do, and of course a back up, since no-one can be on call 24/7. I wonder who decided to stop the weekly jabs
Lizzie, it sounds as though you're feeling much better - and how nice to have sparkling sunshine when you windows are clean.
Grauntie, your OH won't hit the wrong button on his car key again!! I hope you don't catch your OH's sniffles, but I had to laugh at the image of Typhoon Mary. Have you properly recovered from the flu now? Did Bess get a good walk? Eva says if she can look sad enough she can persuade you to do two walks! . Did you make a lemony chicken meal?
The slightly frustrating thing about all the food in the freezer is that's it's gluten and lactose free so the mash on the cottage pie has no butter or milk in it and to my mind a bit boring. I hadn't got a suitable spread to use because SIL was bringing her own favourite brand with her, and the gravy is gluten-free Bisto granules. Added to that, I can't invite round the friends who I'd like to because she is allergic to garlic and everything I made had garlic in it!
We had a nice lunch out today. It was with OH's pensioners' group, at a nice golf club. We had coffee and a chat with lots of people. Our friends and OH all had ham, egg and chips - beautiful ham, lovely fresh eggs, plus peas and salad. I had scampi and chips. OH looked at my plate and said I'd never eat all that scampi. Well, I had to prove him wrong didn't I.

Daisy, shame about the food being for different diets. Hope it doesn't go to waste.
When we go for a pub meal, hubby usually has scampi, I like to have gammon.
I don't think I have a lot to do today, got quite a few jobs done yesterday, while hubby was out.
Shopping coming between 9 and 10. Had a message to say there are three substitutes, but I'm not keeping any of them.
Can't decide what to do for dinner, so might end up with egg and chips.
Doing a roast dinner tomorrow, DS1 and GD2 coming for dinner, so I must get a joint out of the freezer.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Morning Nanto/ladies who follow.
Woke to heavy frost again ,
It was so mild yesterday. Once it gets light hopefully it will thaw.
Just going to Aldi for a few things , we might go to M&S see how. I feel .
Nanto
I would choose gammon too ,
They will appreciate a roast I'm sure , what will you do for pud?
Daisy
That sounds like a nice meal , I bet J was hoping you left some scampi 😁
Lizzie

Good morning everyone.
Nan2 and Daisy, scampi and gammon are amongst my go to pub meal choices. As I can't eat beef or chili both are safe options.
So sad , for all concerned, about your neighbour Oma.
Glad to hear you are feeling better Lizzie.
The library was quiet yesterday. Well it had been very quiet the day before which meant all sorts of jobs got done with nothing left over for Tuesday. It was hard for the morning librarian to keep occupied let alone a volunteer! I could have come home but volunteer hours are important for the funding the library receives. So I signed in, and out again 2 hours later but did very little
OH was at a meeting in the afternoon. I settled down and watched a 4 part series on Netflix.
My car is booked in for MOT this morning. OH will follow me to the garage, then drop me at the pool for my aqua class. I'm hoping I may get a lift back from a friend, but if not OH will come back for me.
OH is out again this afternoon, so I should do some housework as I was lazy yesterday afternoon!“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Good Wednesday morning, everyone.
Nanto, no, the food won't go to waste, but it is destined to spend some time in the freezer! Our niece is still coming down later today for the funeral tomorrow. She's a teacher, so won't leave until she's finished work today, and it's a 4-5 hour journey for her. It always seem quicker and easier to do housework when there's non-one else at home!
Gem, it must be hard to anticipate whether the library will be busy or not, but at least you put the time in and I'm sure it was good to have a chance to talk to the Librarian as well. I hope your car passes its MOT. Enjoy your aqua class.
Oma, J had no chance with the scampi - it was delicious! I hope the frost has disappeared. I bet B is much happier going to the supermarkets than IKEA.
Lizzie, I'm glad you're making good progress - don't overdo it though. Your neighbour is a lucky lady getting a nice warm coat.
I've got a few jobs to do round the house, but hoping for a nice easy day. It's much milder, thank goodness.

Good moaning.
Nothing much happening here today, a bit of running around returning things.
Did anyone see Monty Don’s British Gardens? I would love to have borders so full and lush! Somehow I fail. Probably because I’m a fair weather gardener.
Lizzie, you are a very generous lady.
Nanto2 and Daisy, scampi would be my choice too.
More frost, Oma? I hope it disappears quickly.
Gem, I vote you abandon housework and watch more Netflix!

Ladies, my neighbour is a "strange" lady, I have known her 40+ years, she does chat with me, not with others though, she doesn't look after herself and never has done, at the moment she is wearing a coat I gave her a few years ago, but, she can't handle the double zip so it always wide open, this one has just the one puller so hopefully she can cope with it.
