I have had a burst of energy ,
I not only cleaned the cupboard doors but emptied all of them out and cleaned the shelves,
Reorganised them then I cleaned and polished all the splash back tiles,
Polished the chrome switches and sockets , cleaned the utility and the tiles in the downstairs loo..

I'm a bit tired now, my hips are aching from sitting on the floor doing the lower cupboards,
But it's jobs that needed doing at some point 😁

Plant be careful when your putting the salt down ,
I like Dunelm for some stuff but you have to pick and choose ,
I wish we had a JL near I would go there but our nearest one is in the middle of Newcastle and a pain to get too,
Parking is a nightmare plus the road system is changing all the time.

Busy day for you all the ladies.

I finally got the 4 drawers in the big freezer tidied.
Made 3 homemade ready meals, they are all the same, but will last us a while.

Take care ladies if you are going out.
Our neighbour slipped on the ice on his drive this morning.
Two hours he was laid there, before the ambulance came.
      He has broken his hip.

I sometimes go in Dunelm, but its not one of my favourite shops.

We enjoyed our fish and chips, especially the fish.

Oh that poor man and in this freezing weather
Apart from his broken hip I hope he's ok Nanto .
Sign of the times really isn't it,
Doesn't help when the likes of my neighbour rings for ambulances then goes out before they get there wasting time and resources,
or when they need to take her into the psychiatric hospital they can be out hear 4 hours trying to persuade her to get in also taking up police time .
That's what annoys us , just sedated her and get her in or handcuffs her , but no it's softly softly approach meaning real emergencies like your poor neighbour have to wait.😡

I'll have to tell the other "girls" (I don't think any of us are under 70, and one is 90) about being The Pink Ladies.

My OH always find the eye drops to dilate his pupils give him a headache, even wearing sunglasses in the house doesn't seem to help.

Gem, what a lovely day you've had with GS3. I love it when toddlers have their own unique version for words, and "dutter" is fantastic - dotting the butter here and there, maybe? Did DS1 arrive ok?

Oma, glad you found what you wanted in Dunelm. I could do with a trip there for some towels and a pair of curtains for the landing window. There or JL are my go to places for things like that, but they're both in Southampton, so not much difference in the distance or parking, except it's free at Dunelm. I can just imagine you and B having a laugh in the card shop. You're well-stocked up with cards now. You certainly went to town with the cleaning.

Plant, the white stuff has been hanging around for you, hasn't it. It's frustrating though if you want to go out and it's too icy to risk it. Is H excited about her party tomorrow? I hope your new helper for the housework is nice and does a good job for you. Did you share your fish and chips with Nanto?

Nanto, your poor neighbour. The fall and broken hip is bad enough, but having to wait out there in the cold for an ambulance is just awful. The ambulance drivers must get very frustrated about time wasters like Oma's neighbour, but of course, you can't assume they are wasting time and have to attend anyway.

I got stacks of ironing done today, but I notice the washing basket is overflowing again. It's never ending. Although it was cold just after lunch it wasn't perishing and there was no wind, so I took Eva out for a good walk across the moor to give her a change of scene and sniffs! She was insistent on going to a large clump of gorse and checking it out. It's the sort of place the ponies go to in windy weather. They park themselves on the lee side and reverse their rear ends into the greenery. You could tell which way the wind's been blowing by the amount of hoof prints and other "messages"! OH is out this evening, so I just had a salad - no cooking! I had a long chat with DIL1 which was nice.

While I was out a parcel arrived for me. OH was convinced it was a bag of nails. It was some very nice sea salt I'd ordered. I think he was disappointed.

Great minds think alike I had a turkey salad for tea.
B likes rolled roasted belly pork i don't so i had some small Turkey fillets in the freezer cooked two of them with a lovely salad , nice crisp coss lettuce etc , i really enjoyed it.
I bet Eva's had a lovely time sniffing out everything. I hate when I'm out with Storm and you see people walking their dogs but not allowing them to have a good sniff,
Poor J he must have thought you had bought him a present 🤣🤣

A cosy fireside to warm us all up.

Daisy, love how you described where the ponies go when it's windy.

We are going into town today, so no cooking again which suits me.

Our neighbour is OK, well apart from his broken hip.

              Time for another coffee now.

                Good morning ladies.

                That's so cosy looking Nan2

Oma, you have got your mojo back!

Daisy, how kind it would have been of you to order a bag of nails as new year treat for your OH

Sitting by the fire with a good book and fish and chips sound perfect cold weather things Plant.

GS1 spent the day here yesterday and came with me to collect his cousin, which was a nice surprise for GS2. The boys chatted on the journey back and played Roblox together before tea. I ordered them pizza and chips from the local pizza place and did a couple of slices of garlic bread in the air fryer, their choice from the ice cream drawer for pud, so happy boys

We are going to Aldi this morning. No other plans so far.

I'm doing ok now , still get tired easy but I think that's partly age and laziness 😁
Bet the boys enjoyed their takeaway , added bonus of ice cream 🍨 🍦

I bet H is very excited today , wish her Happy birthday from us xxx

                  Nanto
What a lovely graphic , I can almost imagine myself in one of those chairs 😁
                  Enjoy your lunch.

Very hard frosty and bitter cold , the roads look like a skating rink.

Beds stripped and in wash , general tidy as I did most yesterday so a easy quiet day.
I was up early with toe cramps, tried to ignore it but you can't can you ,
I might have a nana nap after lunch then dust the bedrooms,
To be honest they don't need it so. I may not 😁

Have a nice day ladies whatever you are up too.

Birthday girl very excited, she is old enough to understand now. I am awaiting a delivery from COOK. We are still white in the garden but I am assured the roads and pavements are clear. Being off the beaten track I can’t see what is going on. Stay safe on the icy roads and pavements.

Oma, Now you feel more energetic do not over do it.

Nanto, another no cooking day for you, well done and enjoy your lunch out. As Daisy says, those chairs look welcoming by the fire.

Gemini, Pleased that your GS1 spent some time with you and GS2.

                      Good Saturday morning, everyone.

Nanto, I could happily spend the day sitting in one of those chairs, by a roaring fire, reading a good book. But, hey ho! it's not likely to happen today. Thank goodness your neighbour is ok. I was worried he might develop pneumonia after being in the cold so long.

Gem, you must have been pleased to have the two boys together. Roblox seems to be a popular game for lots of children - I know our GD2 enjoys it. That was a perfect feast of a tea for them. I bet they both went home happy. I hope you get everything you want in Aldi.

Oma, I think you've done a day's work already. Put your feet up and enjoy that nana nap.

Plant, very happy birthday to (not so little) H.

When OH went out last night he used my car because the parking spaces where he was going are very tight. When he got in to come home the inside of the windscreen was iced up and instead of letting it defrost (which is what I do) he tried wiping it with every squeegee, sponge and towel in the car. I know what a mess it will be, so one of today's jobs is to clean the windscreen properly - I hate it being streaky. I might as well wash the dog towels in there as well.

We've got lovely sunshine, but it's still cold.

DD walked over with Storm, he went straight in the garden he loves this weather,
I did have 30 minutes on the sofa and felt refreshed so I dusted the bedrooms ,
B gave the sofa and chairs a wash down with baby soap then fed the leather ,
I looked for a few photos to put on Crafts thread and came across a lovely one of myself and my two sisters ,
It was taken not long before my sister died , I've kept it out I will put it in a frame .

Oma, you must have been so pleased to find that photo. Why don't you have it reprinted/enlarged and perhaps give a copy to your other sister? It's such a pleasure when you find photos unexpectedly like that.

Every morning when it's frosty I think of Storm and another Husky I know, and imagine how happy they must be.

I've caught up with the washing again, thank goodness. We've made the beds up ready for our visitors and done a few other jobs. We seem to have been busy all day, but OH very kindly took pity on my windscreen and cleaned it, and his. It was getting cold again when I took Eva out late this afternoon. It was very quiet - not many people about at all.

Plant, how did the birthday party go? Did H enjoy herself? Did your COOK delivery arrive ok?

Nanto, there were hardly any ponies about this afternoon, but quite a few donkeys!

Daisy, probably too cold for many to be out!

We didn't need much at Aldi so were soon home.
I have heard that poor little GS2 has been sick several times. Fingers crossed neither GS1 or I catch it as we were with him after school yesterday.

We had a good day in town, met up with DS2 for coffee for an hour.
Then DIL was taking her break at work, so we were able to have natter with her.
We ate at a new place called Spudz. Well they have been open about 18 months now.
They specialise in jacket potatoes, but have other things on the menu.
Both of us agreed it was very nice. It was a bit dearer than your average jacket potatoes.
The fillings made up for it being more expensive, plenty to choose from, and plenty on the potatoes.
We have found most cafes seem a bit frugal with the fillings
