Goodness, we are a poorly lot. I tried several times to organise myself to post but GD was doing my housework and I kept getting in her way so I went into DD’s and they were organising the rooms to get their tree up so had to leave in case I got hoovered up. Sat down in the afternoon and promptly fell asleep.

So sorry to hear your virus is getting worse Oma, you are doing the right thing by staying in bed. Have you phoned the surgery?

Gemini, your neighbours little one would have been amused at the kittens antics.

Daisy, My GD did wonders yesterday with a duster and a can of polish, bit far to say I will send her around.

H still has slightly red cheeks but she is back at nursery.

Lizzie, I hope the therapist could help you with a frame. The word dentist gives me the shivers. I hope they are kind to you

LOL I'm glad you didn't get hoovered up Plant!

Daisy I agree with Nan2, that's a pretty busy Free Day

I hope that frame works for you Lizzie.

I was on jigsaw sorting duty this morning This involves doing the jigsaws and checking all the pieces are there. Some are sets of 4 jigsaws in one box, so I put different coloured stickers on each jigsaw
I'm not a jigsaw person so I find this much harder than shelving books!

On the way home I went to the pet shop for kitten biscuits.

GS1 isn't coming today as I will have him both Friday morning and evening and DD thought that was enough.

OH is on the golf course, then a committee meeting including nibbles as it's their last of the year.

So, I have the afternoon to myself. I will make a start on the Christmas cards. DD1 has added us to their Disney + account and I have wanted to see the film Moana, so that is on the agenda too

Plant, you were lucky not to get hoovered up with all that activity going on. It is a pity your GD1 is too far away, although I have done quite a few chores today - including some ironing! But I didn't get the dog bedding done. It will have to wait till Saturday now. Pleased to hear H is so much better.

The sun didn't last all day and it went very chilly, so Eva and I wrapped up warm for our walk this afternoon. She's now lying next to me giving me soulful looks because it's past her dinner time!

Gem, I'm sure you got a sense of satisfaction from sorting out the jigsaws. Well done. Your neighbours' little one sounds a real cutie. Was she fascinated by the kittens? I hope S had a good round of golf today. Is this the new Moana you're going to watch?

Nanto, the prospect of a really free day would be lovely at the moment!

Daisy no this was the first original Moana, so that I can go to see the new one at the cinema some time I enjoyed it very much.
I also caught up with The Archers omnibus on i player and wrote all the cards I could, I need to buy a few more!

I did a Tesco order for tomorrow too, so have kept happily busy all afternoon, with kittens for company

I wish you a free day soon Daisy!

Gem, I assumed you must have seen the original Moana because I thought you might have seen it with your GD. But, thinking about it now, I saw it with my GD2 who is about 4 years younger than your GD!

I rarely get to listen to the Archers these days, but we heard part of the omnibus on Sunday when travelling up to DIL1's. I hardly recognised any of the characters, which was a bit sad.

Tonight I've had a chat with my sister-in-law and done some admin. Time to pack up now, I think.

                Good morning everyone.

I am hoping Oma is feeling at least a little better, and WG is recovering from her surgery well.

                It's very wet outside!
Aqua morning and hopefully coffee with friend/s.
No plans this afternoon, but we have a Tesco delivery between 2 and 3.

Have a good day ladies, and healing vibes to those who need them

Good morning Gem and all who follow.

Hubby wants to get the lights on the tree outside ,ready for the Santa run on Sunday.
So, that might be on the agenda for today.
I spent ages trying to find an appropiate graphic.

Looks like a bright start to the day.

Took some braising steak and onions out of the freezer yesterday.
Its already cooked, also took some potato, swede and carrot mash out,so thats dinner sorted.
Will probably serve green beans with it.

I used to listen to the Archers many years ago,but not heard it for years.

Gem, not sure if you have seen this item or not.

                      Morning ladies

I can't say I'm any better but I'm no worse, at least I'm up and dressed today that's a bonus.
Everything is such an effort at the moment ,
Lack of sleep and my stomach muscles ache from the constant none stop coughing.

I will get there it's just taking time.

The lights will look lovely , enjoy dinner.

Morning, poor you Oma, I do hope that you soon feel better.xxxx

It is dry here with rain forecast tomorrow I think

I have just been to pick my mothers wedding ring up, I have worn it since she died, 26 years ago, I noticed the other week that it was broken so I took it to get it repaired, I bet it cost more than it did to buy almost 90 years ago. I also went for cream cakes I ordered, the one man is leaving tonight so the leader asked me if I would get the cakes, why me I do not know, but I did it.

A friend from years ago, we grew up in the same street, many years ago, she is coming to the Christmas market in Rotterdam on Sunday, if all goes as planned I will meet her for coffee, we have kept in touch over the years, my sister used to do her alterations etc. She went to my sisters cremation, that is almost 4 years ago, time flies.

Enjoy your aqua Gem, just 2 more for us this year then holidays.

The dentist went well yesterday, both very young girls, they all are, everywhere, at the moment, that must be a thing about getting older!

Good Wednesday morning, everyone. It's bright and sunny here, but oh, soooo cold.

Nanto, you found the perfect graphic. That's just how I feel when I'm helping OH put the outside lights up - surrounded by coils of bulbs! . That sounds like a good, cold weather dinner.

Oma, getting up and dressed probably took all your energy. Take care and don't overdo things.

Gem, it sounds like a pleasant day for you. Enjoy! Is OH playing golf?

Thinking about all those who are feeling poorly, recovering or just plain fed up. Big hugs.

OH has just left to go and play cars with his mates. I've given him a lecture on not overdoing things. They will be outside, in this freezing weather and it's not good for his COPD. He's got plenty of layers on, but I worry about him when the weather is this cold. He won't listen, of course.

It's dog training for Eva and me this afternoon.

EDIT. Sorry, Lizzie, I didn't see your post until I posted. How lovely that you wear your Mum's wedding ring. I've got my mum's rings, but only wear her eternity ring. Glad the dentist went well. No nasty surprises. x

Lots going on here this morning, it is GD1’s birthday. We are having a take-away this evening. Off to games soon we are meeting an hour earlier as the local first school have need of the hall after us. Sil has been putting up the outside lights. I don’t feel Christmassy at all.

Daisy, I didn’t know your OH has COPD, he certainly needs wrapping up. I hope Eva is on the ball.

Oma, now don’t rush things, I don’t think I was as poorly as you sound and I am only just feeling up to tackling things.

Lizzie, I don’t know what happened to my mother’s wedding ring, I would have loved to have had it. All my siblings have died now so it should have come to me. Like you I would have treasured it. My mother would never let me take it off her finger, would your mother?

                              I wear my mother's wedding ring ,
When my DD and SIL married 26 years ago she asked if she could get married using my wedding ring.
We had both our wedding date and hers engraved inside the ring,
I then started to wear my mother's ring on my wedding finger and I never take it off,
My late sister had it before me .

                              Daisy
Cold weather isn't good for OCPD I hope J doesn't stay out too long,
                              Enjoy dog training.

                              Happy birthday to your GD,
hope you enjoy games and win a few 😀

I tried laying on the sofa for a nana nap just going into a nice sleep and the cough started so I gave up.
I will try again though soon as I'm so tired.
We think B might be coming down with it he said his throat is sore.
