Good morning. So glad to be back home and in my own bed. Feeling so much better and my face is healing remarkably well. I was so lucky, when I think about it. Could have broken my hip,or my wrist so I am thankful for that. Hve now gone down with a rotten cold and a hacking cough, hopefully it won’t last long.. thank you Daisy for asking.

Plant, hope you enjoy your lunch. It does us good to get out and about, I will be pleased to get out again soon, I feel like I’ve been confined for far too long. My friend said she will pick me up to take to our groups but I might be ok to drive, I will see.

weather better today after lots of rain over the weekend. Have a good day everyone.

Lovely lunch and nice to see friends again. Feeling tired now so will rest this afternoon. At least I don’t have to cook later. Not actually raining atm but pretty overcast.

Enfys, I hope your wounds will soon be healed and you get to meet up with your groups.

Gemini, I quite like my quiche to be eggy but I know what you mean. I hope your DD3’s opticians appt. Goes well. I wonder why you woke up 1n pain, have you been overdoing things, like lifting the little one.

Lizzie, I like the pot tables. Your GD’s are growing up fast.

Daisy, you didn’t starve then, that thrown together meal sounds good. I hope your OH’s eye appt. Was’t too taxing.

Nanto, a meal of egg and chips sounds good to me too.

Enfys, come along now no need to be greedy, a cold as well as your fall injuries! I'm glad you are feeling much better . I hope you get out and about again soon.

Plant I'm glad you had a nice time, it will have done you good. It will be tiring at first getting back to things.

I hope the eye appointment went smoothly Daisy and traffic not too bad.

Lizzie, nice plant stands I agree.

Thanks everyone for concern over my pain! I have no idea what caused it but suspect I must have turned awkwardly in my sleep or something as I woke in the early hours in pain and could only lie on one side to be out of pain. I took painkillers and used the hot wheat bag when I got up this morning, did the aqua class and It's all OK now!

GS3 is napping upstairs, DD at the eye clinic. VERY wet here.

The rain hasn't stopped since it started at 6.45 last night.

Oma, i know its no consolation, but i had a sleepless night as well. Had quite a few recently.

Lizzie, the plant stands do look nice.

Plant, hope you enjoy lunch out and you might feel better for seeing friends.

Sis in law and hubby popped in this morning to pick something up. They were here for 2½ hours.

Enfys, I'm so pleased to hear you are recovering from your injuries. As you say, thank goodness they weren't worse, but it's a pity it spoilt your holiday. There seem to be a lot of people round here with dreadful hacking coughs, and my neighbour's ended up in a chest infection. Look after yourself.

Plant, I'm so pleased to hear you have had a nice lunch and seen your friends. I'm sure you feel really tired now, but you've had such a rotten time lately going out must have been very enjoyable.

Gem, so glad that pain has gone - you're probably right about it starting during the night. I hope DD3 got good news from the eye clinic.

Nanto, do you know what's causing your sleepless nights? I think at this time of year you can get the odd really chilly night and it makes you keep waking up. I hope you've had a rest this afternoon after your visitors this morning.

We didn't get back from the hospital until nearly 4.30. We left early - just after 12 o'clock - because there were reports of 40 minute delays through road works on our usual route, and floods on the other much longer route. So we took an even longer route to avoid the floods. Then the clinic seemed to be working at snail's pace today. OH is now snoozing in front of the television "resting his eyes" he says. I'm going to get dinner now, and hopefully have an early night.

Daisy, you both need an early night I'm sure

Good news at the eye clinic for DD3, thanks Daisy. They think she has had a slight bleed but were not at all concerned about it! The retina is not detaching , which was the concern. They said she is just unfortunately one of those people who are prone to eye floaters. They don't need to see her again unless she has a problem ,but did say to come in immediately if she does.
GS3 asks every single day to 'go to Grandma's ' so was very happy to have an extra day We bathed him while DD was on her way back, and SIL came to drive them home after work.
                Still raining

Gem, I certainly need the early night. Just off to put gel in OH's eye and then I'm ready for bed. OH slept for a couple of hours around tea time.

GS3 is such a cutie, and he obviously loves his Grandma. Very pleased to hear that DD3's eyes are ok. That must be a relief for all of you.

Nanto, that happens to me sometimes. I feel as though I've had a good night's sleep, but it's only 2 am! I don't know what the answer is. Sometimes I make myself a decaff tea and read for an hour in a chair, then I get back to sleep quite easily. I hope tonight is a good night for you.

Good morning. Still raining, but not as bad as yesterday.

                    Gem,glad DD3 is OK.
Daisy, hope OH is OK this morning.

I'm going to town with hubby. His usual meet up with his pal, and I'll go and get my bits and bobs, then meet hubby for coffee.

Not sure what we are having for dinner, I'll decide when we get home.

OH was amazed to find out that the golf course is open today. She will be playing in a soggy competition.

I am amazed the golf course is open , if it’s anything like us it’s wet and windy and very cold.
good News for DD but always wise to have these things checked out.

When they start with boyfriends you know they are growing up fast 😁

Went to see MIL last night, provided the carers are sorted she could come home tomorrow ,
We are concerned about her in a way as she is very lucid but then lapses and can’t remember stuff.

Lke yesterday she rang me to tell me she was coming home we talked a good 15 minutes.
Went in last night she said good news I’m getting home on Wednesday,
I said I know you rang me, she totally denied it and couldn’t remember a thing.
Bs sister is ringing the unit this morning as when I rang her last night she said has she imagined it we just don’t know and I didn’t think of asking the staff last night.

Need to go get a few bits this morning , not looking forward to going out in this but needs must 😁

Good Tuesday morning, everyone. It's dry and even a bit sunny here - I've got a loads of whites in so fingers crossed it stays that way.

Gem, a busy day for you. I hope the golf course is ok - you have had a lot of rain the last few days.

Nanto, I always think how good it is that your OH meets up with his pal so regularly. A lot of men seem to lose out on that type of socialising when they retire. I bet they've always got lots to chat about.

Oma, Your MIL's memory lapses are a bit of a worry, I'm sure. It doesn't sound like the usual short-term loss of memory you hear about. But I think the mind can play funny tricks when you've been in hospital and all your normal routines are changed. I hope she can get home safely, with the right support. She's lucky to have such supportive children and in-laws.

Enfys, how is your cold today? Are you going to any of your social get togethers this week?

I've left OH to sleep in this morning, so don't know how is eye is yet, but he seemed to sleep ok last night. I'll pop back later.

Oma, I think hospital does increase confusion of elderly patients. MIL may be more herself once she's home and settled back.

OH just had a message to say the competition is abandoned. She's not sorry.

Good morning from me on this overcast day. I have managed to catch a cold from GD1, felt like staying in bed but I am up. After my enjoyable afternoon out yesterday I feel very cross I now have a cold.

Nanto, enjoy your trip to town

Gemini, good news about your DD’s eye problem, must have been quite frightening.

Daisy, will your OH always have to have the eye treatment?

Good morning ladies! I should be writing this from my hospital bed, instead I'm back home again! All paperwork done, checks done, arrow drawn on leg and surgeon came back to say there wasn't an anaesthetist available, so the operation couldn't go ahead. To say I feel deflated is an understatement! It's been rescheduled for 17th, so fingers crossed he has an anaesthetist then. I'm about to take a painkiller and go back to bed. Getting up and ready for a 7.00am check in isn't much fun. I think the staff were more annoyed than I was, the little nurse who was assigned to me gave me a big hug when I left! Luckily DD had stayed with me. otherwise I'd have been stuck until she came back again! I was offered breakfast before I left, so had some toast and coffee, but I was really looking forward to a jacket potato with tuna mayo followed by honeycomb ice cream when I'd come back from theatre!

My holiday seems a long time ago now! Croatia is a very beautiful country and the group I was with were all very friendly. It was a sIngles tour so everyone was in the same boat. Some kept themselves to themselves, but chatted at meals or on the tours and nobody felt left out. I'd certainly book with them again. Some of the party had been on several tours with the company and spoke highly of it. There was a mixture of male and female and the youngest must have been in their 50s.....most were a bit older!!

Well, it's turned out to be a miserable day here! Rain is now heavy and doesn't look as if it's going to stop any time soon.

Hope your cold soon clears Plant; that your injuries soon heal Enfys; that MiL does get home soon Oma and behaves herself when she does and that everyone else keeps warm and dry! xx
