Good morning everyone
Nan2, thank you, I had a very good nights sleep, and saw a beautiful pink sunrise when I looked out this morning.
How are you this morning Oma?
Daisy, the boys do like having the kittens around, and GS1 was delighted that Moses sat on his knee for a while. I have taken GD to the Cat Cafe twice and GS1 once as they have to be 10 to go to that cafe.
GS3 will be back here later today, for a sleepover. The rest of the day I am free. No plans as such, but I have a busy day tomorrow, so I'm happy to have a laid back one today.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Good Friday morning (even if it is a bit late!)
Nanto, eggs, chips and beans is one of my favourites. I hope you're having a nice relaxing day.
Oma, poor you. I do feel for you. It's bad enough feeling poorly, but when you can't sleep because you're coughing it's so much worse. I hope B is doing a good job with the decorations. Your poor SIL must have been struggling, but hopefully even one day off helps. Sending you get well hugs. xxx
Gem, glad you had a good night last night, and it's a bonus to see the sunrise. I can imagine how delighted GS1 was to have Moses on his lap. That's the thing with cats, isn't it - you feel ridiculously honoured when they give you their attention, and even better when they curl up on your lap. Dogs generally will make a fuss of people, but cats are much more choosey.
I hope everyone else is feeling ok.
Like Gem, I slept really well last night, and didn't wake up till after 9 o'cock! So we had a nice slow start to the day, then Sainsbury's rang to say the driver was at the end of our road could he deliver straight away - an hour earlier than booked. As it happens it suited us so that's all done and dusted. We want to go and do a bit of gardening now - everal plants fell over or got uprooted in the recent snow, so it's a good day to get them sorted out.
I'll pop back later.

Oma, hugs from me to you, I hope you feel better soon. Thank you for my card.
Gemini, busy Grandma as usual. I am sure the kittens are a hit with your GC.
Nanto, My dinner will be much the same as yours, chips, egg and peas for me today.
I have managed to loose a hearing aid, in my defence it did not sit well in the ear, not had them long and I have already been back to get them checked. Just taken GD1 out to pick up her car from the garage, very expensive repair. They really can’t afford to run two cars. Her DD has slap cheek, she came home from nursery yesterday with one glowing cheek, she seems quite bright today. Cold but nice and sunny here, no plans, having a quiet day. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Plant, it wasn't too bad gardening. The sun was very bright and no wind. We did the jobs we needed to do, plus a bit of tidying up as well. Really pleased we were able to do that. We had a late lunch and I took Eva out for a walk.
I've spent most of the evening portioning up dog food and pottering round the kitchen. It's all nice and tidy, I turn by back and things are all over the place!!

Good morning.
Just seen the weather forecast on TV and its going to be a bit milder today.
Not going out today, hubby got a job to do.
He put his new light up in the shed yesterday, and every time he switched it on, it knocked his TV off.
So he googled can a LED light knock your TV off. It said yes it can if the light isn't WI FI friendly. So the light is going in the garage.
DS2 and DIL should be on their way to Spain. Flight was due to take off 7.
Hubby says he'll have a chicken tikka for his dinner, so I'll have a cheese omelette.
Hope those feeling under the weather feel a bit better.
I've got another cold, I only had one last month.Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Good morning Nan2 and everyone.
Nan2 I hope your cold is mild and DS and DIL have a lovely holiday.
Plant slapped cheek syndrome seems very common in little ones these days.
Daisy, a bonus to get any gardening jobs done this time of year.
How is everyone this morning? I hope Oma is feeling a bit better or at least no worse.
I wonder how WG is getting on?
Quite a busy day today, unusual for a Saturday.
Little GS3 is here until he is picked up, possibly late morning. There is a joint Christmas event between the library and the community centre they share the building with today. Friends group members will be helping out. Our own thing is a chocolate tombola, but we will also help on the book stall and anywhere else needed. As we had GS3 overnight I am doing a later stint, not going in until 12. I think DD and SIL will be here before that, but if not OH will look after GS.
A day of fundraising events, as we are out with DD2 tonight at a fundraiser for GD's dance school. A quiz and raffle etc.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Good morning, very cold here again. I went to DS1 for a meal last night, I am not keen on driving in the dark, especially with all the cycles on the roundabouts! I did enjoy the meal and seeing the GD's, they didn't eat with us, GD1 eats at the nursery? she is doing work experience at and D2 was on her way out, on her way to a sleep over at a friends with her other friend, they set off then soon returned as she wasn't dressed warm enough for the bike! They had a career market at her school the other day, she has always said she fancies teaching but it quite taken with training to be a stewardess.
Gem, a busy day for you with all the fundraising.
Nanto, how handy Google is!!! An answer to everything. A niece in the uk, my age, has no internet, she goes to the library once a week for one hour to use the internet, I was annoyed with her the other day, it is on a Thursday she goes and expects me sitting here waiting for her to message me then she says she never hears from me, I wonder why!
Our new lift is working, very smart and fast!
Daisy, you did well in the garden, I got my plants packed in a few weeks ago and moved closer to the walls.
I need to go shopping and hope to go to the gym later on, my knees are giving me @@@@! With the help of a neighbour I lowered my bike seat yesterday, safer for the winter, if my knees hurt it will be highened again.

Good Saturday morning, everyone.
Nanto, it does seem milder today. I've just had a wander round the garden and it wasn't at all cold. It's amazing what question Google can answer, and the came with ChatGPT! I hope dS2 and DIL have a lovely holiday. How long have they gone for? Look after yourself and hopefully get rid of that cold. xx
Gem, what a busy day. I hope everyone's fundraising goes well. I like the sound of a chocolate tombola - most people can't resist chocolate, so hopefully it will do well. Good luck in the raffle at GD's dance school.
Lizzie, some cyclists don't make it easy for motorists to see them in the dark, so no wonder you're not keen on driving round roundabouts. I hope it's a bit warmer for you today and your knees are ok with lowering your bike seat. Thank goodness the lift is working properly. We have already done the jobs needed for winter, but the frost and then the snow had weighed down a climbing rose and uprooted a small conifer - about 4 ft high. So we've moved it to somewhere a bit more sheltered. We've tied the rose in and given it a bit of TLC.
Oma, Wee Granny and Plant, how are you this morning?
Our GDs are doing another craft fair today - indoors this time! So we're going to go and give them some support later. It's the first time at this venue so we don't know how busy it will be.
No other plans for today.

That lift sounds state of the arts, it will make a big difference I bet.
THe girls are growing and becoming independent aren't they , they sound lovely thoughtful girls.
Daisy
B managed to get the borders ( only two little ones) ready for the winter and the leaves sucked up ,
We cover the boarders with green netting in the winter to stop next doors cats using them as a toilet and digging the bulbs up.
Nanto
Pleased Hubby managed to figure out the light , good old Mr Google.

I must be on his wave length as we bought Ribeye steak on Thursday for him.I said toB we will get this then if he doesn't want it you can eat it 😁
