Oh Plant poor you , I hope it doesn’t last long.
Dont worry about coming on here , you think of yourself that’s more important .
Sending big hugs ❤️❤️❤️
Plant, I'm so sorry to hear you're feeling poorly again. As Nanto says, you are having a bad patch just now. Take care of yourself - keep warm, rest, plenty of fluids. Big hugs xxx
Nanto, you did well to get washing dried outside, and cut the lawn as well. Aren't those tulips beautiful! xx
Gem, how did your visit to T go? I hope you found him feeling stronger and better than you feared. Well done for going to see him - it's not easy I know.
Oma, I would always rather shop early, especially on a Saturday. I hate crowded shops. How was the meal deal? I hope you enjoyed it. That's a good price for two meals and two sides. You were sensible to leave the bedding till tomorrow.
It was a bit of a rush for us this morning and I didn't have time to say 'hello'. Our grocery order arrived and as soon as we'd put everything away we went out. The GDs had a stall at a local craft fair and we said we'd go and support them. It was out of doors so we wrapped up warm, but I was still cold! GD1 is very focussed on what she wants to achieve and she had chosen to have a nice gazebo and a couple of good tables as an early Christmas present. The stall did look very inviting and she sold a lot of her wares - mostly crocheted toys. GD2 loves Slime and had gone into production making little pots in different colours and with different ingredients like glitter, metallic paint etc. She sold most of her stock too, and they ran a lucky dip and raised £52 for the Honeypot Children's Charity - a local charity providing respite breaks and outreach support for young carers. I feel really proud of them both.
We took Eva along and she was very good. She said hello nicely to lots of people who wanted to fuss her, and politely greeted other dogs - even those who barked at her. She didn't mind the live ukulele band, but was totally thrown by a life-size statue of the Greek athlete throwing the discus. She kept turning back to look at it, and I could see her nose was going nineteen to the dozen. She took a couple steps towards it and then thought better of it and backed off. Turned round again and barked at it. So I took her for a walk round - in the petting farm attached to the site. She totally ignored all the birds and animals, but I was a little worried when 3 alpacas got very curious about her and started to approach. I wondered if they were out for revenge as she had had alpaca mince for dinner last night!
So, it was a fun day out and we got home and snuggled down to a lovely fire in the wood burner.

Good morning.
The moon is very bright this morning.
Daisy, well done to your GD's. They certainly did well.
Eva's antics with the statue made me smile.
No plans for us today as yet.
I'm glad we got the garden done yesterday.
Just a few jobs for me. A bit of ironing to do, also need to get some broccoli prepared and in the freezer.
I dare say some other jobs will crop up.
Dinner is braising steak with onions and mushrooms. They will go in the slow cooker.
I'm going to cook it all and freeze some. We will have cheesy mash, carrots and green beans with it.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.
Good morning to all.
Lovely bright morning here.
Nan2, if that was any other meal but beef that would be my favourite meal
How are you Plant? Rest up and get well.
Daisy, I well remember my GD's Slime days Well done to both your GDs raising that money.
You keep taking it easy too Oma until your back improves.
Well, I didn't see my friend T yesterday. When I got to the nursing home I was told he was yet again back in hospital They said he had been there since Monday. I knew he had a Monday hospital appointment, so presumably he had to stay in. I sent him a card to the home during the week and in it I said I would visit yesterday. Of course if he wasn't there he hasn't seen that card.
That was a lot of driving through busy Saturday town traffic for nothing.
Today I am going to put a card through his house letterbox, along with a note for his friends asking them to get in touch with me. I know they check his house regularly, and as he lives close to the hospital they probably pop in every time.
Golf for OH today. I plan a lazy day apart from posting the card and note through T's door, and getting some petrol whilst I'm out.

Plant
I hope you slept reasonably well last night , keep warm and as Daisy said hydrated,
although I know you don’t drink a lot of water and your SIL tells you off about it 😁
Nanto
I think that’s the only way I like steak, braised with onions.
Its a different taste and texture isn’t it , I can almost smell yours cooking 😁
Daisy
WOW those girls of yours did so well and to raise money too , you must be so proud of them ,
Well done girls👏👏👏
I had to laugh at Eva and the statue, I wonder what went through her mind ,
Did she sniff the alpacas or did she keep her distance?
Gem
How was T on your visit?
My nephew took Archie to see Paddington yesterday , he said he enjoyed it more than little Archie 😁
Beds stripped and in the wash ,
While I was in the shower B put all the tea towels and dish cloths in first for me ,
We are going to pop to Tesco ,
I like a brand of tea that does a Irish blend and Tesco is the only place I can get it,
Plus GS likes these Japanese little cheesecake desserts that so far he has only seen in Tesco so if they have them I will get some ,
Apparently they are like little frozen dumplings, usually with ice cream in them but these are cheesecake.
Good Sunday morning, everyone. It's a bit chilly, but the sun's shining.
Plant, how are you feeling today? Don't worry if you don't feel up to replying, but you know we're thinking of you. xx
WeeGranny, how are you as well? It must feel more comfortable to be in your own home and I hope every day sees you feeling a bit stronger.
Nanto, braised stead with onions and mushrooms sounds delicious. I've never had must luck cooking it, but like it as a meal. Enjoy.
Oma, I hope you got everything you wanted in Tesco. The little cheesecakes sound delicious.
Gem, poor T. He seems to be very up and down at the moment. I hope he's back at the home soon, but you must be worried about him. The drive through all that heavy traffic sounds horrible. If you've got the same weather as us today OH should have a perfect day for golf. Enjoy your lazy day, as I bet you've got a busy week ahead of you.
I think GD2 sold a lot of slime because she stood at the table playing with it and having fun. I think it appeals to a certain age group, doesn't it.
We overselpt this morning. I've just woken OH up, but I've only been up an hour myself! I was going to do the bedding, but I'll leave it till tomorrow and get out in the garden to make the most of the weather before we get the Arctic blasts they're forecasting for next week.
"Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "
Oma, next to me at Paddington last week was a little girl who looked no more than 3, with her daddy. It was definitely aimed a little above that age range and she was bored a lot of the time. I would say there were as many adult only groups like ours as there were ones with kids. I'm sure Archie will have enjoyed parts of it though
Daisy, I am worried about T , his decline over the last year is shocking really.
I heard about the cold weather coming in too
I'm relaxing in the bath and can hear the kittens running up and downstairs
They had their first outing in the garden yesterday, which they loved. Poppy was very adventurous wanting to explore all over, Moses a bit more cautious and kept going back to check the back door was still there!

Daisy, well done to your GD’s making all that money. Eva enjoyed herself too.
Gemini, I am sorry to hear your friend T is unwell and you are worried about him. The first time we let our previous kittens out, they went into our neighbours garden and were a job to get them back.
Not feeling great I think I need some paracetamol and food. The sun is making me feel more cheerful. I will pop back after I have eaten
What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare
Spent a fortune in Tesco but I got 3 packs of my favourite Irish blend tea 😁
I also got two boxes of the desserts GS likes.
Thing about Tesco is although it’s expensive you can always get what your looking for in there 😁
We had just closed the door and put the shopping in the kitchen when DD & Storm turned up.
Before I could get my coat off and the kettle on he was standing with his nose at the treat cupboard 🤣
Hallo everyone, it has been cold here all day, sunny with it though, in fact, I have been cold all day, indoors which is very unusual for me.
GD1 phoned yesterday to tell me she was watching her BF play football and she was frozen! He was playing locally so she went on her bike, she phoned this afternoon to tell me that his team had won and he was the "man of the match"!
DS1 is in New York and will be home next Saturday.
Daisy, how good of your GD's, I bet they were cold as well with standing all day.
Gem, I hope the meal turns out well, I did a pork chop in my air fryer last night with grilled garlic.
Gem, your poor friend, I do hope he manages to get home.
I don't like these days when I have nothing to do!! I did go to the gym though and shopping on the way home.
We have an "emergency lift" until ours is finished which should be within a fortnight, we need to use a code to get into the cabin accessing the lift, I have often wondered what would happen in an emergency, I saw it this morning in the flat opposite, the ambulance arrived, parked near the entrance to the original lift, they must have been on the intercom for the lady to let them in, in the mean time they realised there was no lift working there, they moved the ambulance to the other lift but couldn't open the door, then had to go back to the intercom for the code, that got them in, I am pleased it wasn't a heart case or they would have been too late, I was thinking then they would maybe have had to break the door down to get in.
Scary thought Lizzie,
My Sister in law lives in a high rise, they had a fire scare on Friday, they are told to stay in their flats .
She said those that could walk came down the stairs ,
Luckily she’s on the floor above the entrance so easy for her to get out. It was a false alarm .
Some weeks ago the lifts broke down due to a computer blip ,
A gentleman needed to come down on a stretcher, she said the fire brigade came and winched the lift down manually.
Its turned very cold here , snow forecast tomorrow.
Gem
I think it’s going to be too cold for kittens to be out in the next few days , best snuggled by the fire 😁
We went down the garden centre this afternoon to look at the Christmas displays and decorations ,
We came away with new lights for the Xmas tree , our tree is pre lit but I like extra on it 😁
