    Morning everyone

    Nanto
Nice to have meals for the freezer but even nicer to go out,
Funny how we both have similar meals,
We had jam sponge and custard on Wednesday, B makes it in the microwave , so light and fluffy .

    Lizzie
How nice of your neighbour to bring the cream and delicious Sauerkraut,
especially when she’s been so poorly,
Flu knocks it out of you doesn’t it ,

I love sauerkraut, Bs aunt used to make her own and bottle it always had loads in the cellar,
When we went to stay with her in Hamburg we always came home with a couple of jars.
Sadly she has dementia now so doesn’t remember how to cook.

    Gem
How did GS sleep did he wake early ?
Isn’t it lovely watching them sleeping so peacefully and the smiles you get when they wake.
I miss having little ones around 😢

    WG
How was your first night home , did you sleep well ?

We have the dog today and GS coming for lunch , he has requested shredded Duck and pancakes,
What his master wants his master gets 🤣

It’s a bit dull and cold , I think colder than yesterday that’s for sure .

Im very stiff and sore today but the pain is so much better,
I slept well at least 6 hours straight.
B said I did too much yesterday then laying in the same position most of the night hasn’t helped with the stiffness.

Hope everyone is well and has a good day

      Good morning everyone.

GS3 and I are playing, so I will catch up later!
GS2 from school as usual. I will be setting off during GS3's afternoon nap, but OH will be here to hold the fort.

        Good Friday morning, everyone.

Lizzie, I think coming down narrow, uneven spiral stairs is harder than going up. It's easier to go down backwards, but you feel a bit silly doing that. Still, better than a fall. The medical training you have over there sounds so beneficial and must prevent a lot of accidents, falls and other injuries. Your neighbour must have been very poorly with the flu, and I can imagine how pleased she was with the vegetables. I'm sure it will take her a bit of time to get her energy back. Your gym sounds very good.

Gem, when I started doing air fryer chips I made them too skinny, and probably put too much oil on them. I now make them really fat and chunky. I imagine GS3 is quite heavy now, but they do still need a fair bit of being picked up etc (and of course loads of cuddles) at that age so no wonder you are aching all over. I hope he (and you) slept well.

Oma, your hairdresser is a treasure. Will you need another trim before Christmas? I made a frittata to have with the chips. I often make them to use up odds and ends of vegetables and we like it hot or cold. The sleep probably did you good, though, Oma, and hopefully moving around gently today will ease the stiffness. It sounds as though things are improving - just don't go overdoing it.

Nanto, what a happy, cheerful greeting for us this morning. Thank you. xx. If we'd been with you in the pub my hubby would have the gammon and pineapple and I would have had scampi! I love jam sponge with lots of lovely custard. Oma - I make it like B does, in the microwave. The only downside is it doesn't keep so needs eating up all at once. That's not generally a hardship though.

WeeGranny, I've been wondering how you are as well. Keep warm - it's pretty chilly out this morning.

This morning my car had to go in to the garage. Something to do with something regarding the alternator. Our lovely local garage man is trying to sort if out without having to put a new alternator on, which is expensive. Having just had a £1,000 + bill on OH's car we're keeping fingers crossed. The garage is in the next village where the paddock is where we take Eva. So 8.30 this morning saw us running round with a very excited dog with a very squeaky ball. Unfortunately neither of us had thought it through so we both ended up with wet shoes and cold wet feet! We had a chat with the friends who own the paddock as well, so a nice start to the day.

We've had a warming cup of coffee and a scone each and are now ready to tackle some jobs in the garden. I want to get the remaining three banana plants wrapped up ready for the winter, plus getting the rest of the cana lilies, a tender fuschia and some other plants into the summerhouse for the winter. I also need to re-net the kale plants DS2 gave me. They've grown too big for the current net.

Daisy, the gym is good, even though we chatted most of the time this morning.

I phoned the surgery, we don't have to wait on the line, they phone you back, give you a time etc, here is me waiting, no call, no wonder, somehow or other I had put my phone on "do not disturb "!

I have a cut and colour on the 18th December 😁
I hope the car isn’t as expensive as Js,
Eve must have felt she was in heaven 🤣 not so much you with wet and cold feet though 😱😁

              Gem
Im sure you can forgive the early start for a cuddle or two 😁

              Lizzie
Well that would explain no phone call 🤣🤣

GS been had his shredded duck and pancake lunch early , he’s coming back for the dog later,
Storm has had chicken and veg then a yoghurt with blueberries, for his lunch.

B and myself had a hot cross bun and a mandarin,
Something wrong somewhere they get the best we make do 🙄🤣🤣

Oma, he is so cute and it's not that often he stays so I can forgive him After the early start he is already down for his afternoon nap .

Nan2 I like both your lunch choices yesterday, and the pudding!

Daisy GS3 is slim and light for a 2 year old, but still hard on my back. He climbs up and downstairs without assistance now, but I lift him in and out of his car seat ( if we go out) highchair, cot, and onto the spare bed for nappy changes. If OH is about she lifts him in and out of the highchair, but it's still quite a lot of lifting over a 2 day stay .
Plenty no lifting days ahead anyway.

We have played inside and out today. While outside I managed to repot all the geraniums together in 2 long troughs which will fit on the conservatory windowsill over winter. A job done whilst also playing with GS 😊

We bought the kittens a climbing tree which OH assembled this morning. They love it! Both for playing on and sleeping on!

Gem, sounds like you have been having fun with GS3.

Been a lovely day weatherwise. Had plenty of sunshine.

WG, hope you had a good nights sleep at home.

I had enough filling for 3 hot pot and 2 cottage pies. All in the freezer now.

DS1 joined us for fish and chips, we all enjoyed them.

Oma, our hairdresser came last week. Our next appointment is 19th December.

Oma, wow, 6 hours sleep, that must have done you good. You do spoil that young man but I am sure he is worth it.

I started this hours ago but have been a bit tied up with GD1 and H.

Daisy, I hope this time the repairs will not be too expensive.

Nanto, Our weather has been dull but no rain. Your DS knows where to go for a nice meal.

Gemini, You must be tired looking after GC and the kittens.

I'm shattered, but in a nice way. It's been a good day in lots of ways. The weather has been lovely - sunny and fairly mild until it started to go dark. The garage were able to do the pulley on the alternator, so the bill was about a third of what it might have been. OH gave me a lift to go and fetch it, then he came home and went out for an hour or so in the kit car. He said it was too keep the battery charged - and of course I believed him! (Not).

This morning we finished up wrapping up the banana plants for the winter. I did some tidying up in the front garden while OH did some weeding. After lunch I moved some tender pot plants into the summerhouse and finally put new netting over the kale. Eva tried very hard to con me into taking her out again this afternoon, and I would have done, but really wanted to get jobs done in the garden as it's due to get much colder next week.

I need to go and do the grocery order for tomorrow morning. Not a job I enjoy really.

Daisy, you had a productive day yesterday.

                        We aren't going out today.
Hubby got a few jobs to do, so have i.
Just put a load of darks in to wash.
If the weather allows, hoping to get the grass cut this afternoon. Will probably be it's last cut for this year.

Yorkshire has a weather warning for snow on Monday. Hope they've got it wrong.

Hubby has asked for chicken tikka for his dinner. I always keep òne in. I'll have a cheese omelette.

Have a good day ladies, whatever you are doing.

                          Good morning everyone.

Pretty tulips Nan2. We don't want any snow.

                          You were busy Daisy.

I hope everyone is well today, and WG managing at home. What are we all doing this weekend?

This afternoon I am going to visit my friend T, having respite in a nursing home. To be frank I am dreading it, wondering how he will be. It's not about me though, and fingers crossed there may be an improvement.

Tonight we are going to see Comedienne Lucy Beaumont, so that should be fun.

DD2 was coming back from a weeks working in Prague late last night. GS2 was SO excited about it

                            Nanto
Unusual for you to stay in on a Saturday but I bet you find plenty to get on with.
Its forecast snow here also from Monday.

                            Daisy
Poor Eva she did try to drag you away from gardening 😁
Pleased the car didn’t cost as much as you thought, always a bonus.
I must get around to covering my Fuchsia , we took all the bedding plants out last weekend
Well I say we it was B really😁😢

                            Plant
How is other GDs house move going ?
Little H keeps you going doesn’t she 😁

I was up really early so I’ve done my housework , slowly but got it all done ,
We then went to M&S on the retail for them opening, I wouldn’t go after 9 as you can’t get near on a Saturday it’s packed and queues of traffic.
B likes their curry’s so we got a meal deal , two mains two sides for £15 , Thats tea sorted and no cooking.

I was going to get B to strip the bed this morning but I had enough to do so will do it tomorrow.
What is everyone doing today ? Anything exciting 😁

                              Our day went as planned.
I put the washing out,and was surprised how much it dried.
Got a few other jobs done
After dinner, i started cutting the grass and felt a few spots of rain.
Fortunately it passed over and the sun came out.

Don't you love it,when everything goes to plan.

Sorry I haven’t popped in, the fact is I have some sort of virus, having to keep away from the family. Not much sleep last night so dosed most of the day.
