Oma, pleased to hear the pain wasn’t so bad last night and you were able to get some sleep. Key safe a good idea as long as GS returns the key to the safe after use, fingers crossed.

Gemini, those kitties are a delight, very envious. Did I read you have booked your next years holiday to Canada.

Nanto, haven’t had a pub meal for some time. We have 3 pub/eateries in the village all doing a good trade.

Daisy, so sorry to hear you have a painful knee. I hope Eva enjoys her dog training with lots of lovely new smells.

      Daisy
Be careful walking on uneven ground when you walk Eva ,
Last thing you need is a twisted knee.
We are having chicken casserole tonight , B put it in the slow cooker this morning before he left.

GS has been warned that if he ever has to use the keys again he must get his keys from the house and go put the spare ones back instantly.

B is back , he stayed for lunch then GS had to go to Uni ,

We haven't been out today,or had any visitors.
So i decided to get some christmas presents wrapped and cards written.

Oma, hope GS takes heed and puts the spare ones back straight away.

Gem, how was T? I'm sure he was very pleased to see you. Does he have any family?

Nanto, you are well ahead with Christmas presents and cards, but it's unusual for you to have such a quiet day.

Oma, I can imagine GS won't get a lot of sympathy if he forgets to return the keys to the key safe. But I think it's all part and parcel of going to uni and learning about such mundane but important things. I remember when we were looking after our GSs in June that GS2 was surprised that the dishwasher he'd loaded the previous evening hadn't 'worked'. He didn't know you had to switch it on - he thought it worked "automatically"!!! How has the pain been today? We've had a chicken casserole tonight as well!

Plant, perhaps you should treat yourself to a meal out in the village. I know you've been feeling poorly for a while, but if you're feeling a bit better it would be good to give yourself and perhaps someone in the family, a meal out. Is it board games tomorrow?

Dog training was hilarious today. Eva was all giddy and silly, and kept trying to play the games she wanted instead of what the rest of the class was doing. I don't mind - she goes to enjoy herself, and she certain did that today.

Tomorrow afternoon we are going to see our BIL (he's the widower of OH's sister who passed away in March). He's just been admitted to a hospice after several months in and out of hospital. We are very sad - he's a lovely man, very witty and a great raconteur, but we feel he has probably given up after prolonged battles with deteriorating health, mobility problems and caring for E (his wife) when she was so poorly. This year will not go down as a happy one for us.

It's another sad week for our DIL1 as well. Their dog, Bailey the BC, has had to have surgery today on a large fatty lump which was benign but making it hard for him to walk, and she is going to her uncle's funeral tomorrow - he passed away a few days after her dad.

We are having a power cut!
The kittens having slept for hours after their jabs, are now tearing around the house by candlelight

I will catch up properly tomorrow.

Good evening ladies from my hospital bed! I’m now the proud owner of a new hip! I was first on the list yesterday so I had very little time to panic! They don’t waste any time getting you on your feet these days! I have now progressed from zimmer to crutches, had several walks, gone up and down stairs and am deemed fit to be discharged tomorrow. I’m having a week convalescing before going home.

Oma I pay £28.60 to have my windows in a 3 bed semi washed! Big difference from you!

Have slept most of the day when I haven’t had someone knocking at my door and I still feel tired, so I’m off to bed now. Night night ladies xx
