Late rising today, no hurry, nothing planned. I had quite a busy day yesterday so will be taking things slowly today. Plans are just to clean the fridge, it has been neglected of late.
Gemini, enjoy your massage
Oma, pleased to hear you had a good nights sleep and are ready to tackle MIL later. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

MIL had a few moans but she wasn’t too bad ,
B made her bed and put bin out , I hoovered the sitting room and Dinning room but apart from that she didn’t need much doing.
She was looking forward to my DD going this afternoon,
My DD is helping her fill some forms in,
SIL wanted to do them but she would only let my DD do it.
We came home and had lunch then went to Iceland and Lidl.
Had a rest then gave the bedrooms bathroom and hall stairs and landing a good clean.
A bit tired now but it’s done.
Had trouble getting on here earlier , it was coming up as an error.
Plant
sometimes you forget about the fridge don’t you, did you get it done?
Gem

I'm glad MIL wasn't too bad, and hope your DD"s help with filling in forms has put her mind at rest if she was worrying about anything. Thank you for the lovely graphic. I hope you sleep well tonight as well.
Gem, has the massage helped?
Plant, it's good to have a quiet day to relax when the previous day has been busy. Did you do your fridge or leave it for another day?
We've had a lovely couple of days with our friends. We sat up chatting till midnight last night, not realising how the time had flown. It was only when Eva asked to go out we realised!
Nanto, was the photo too large to post? I'd love to see it though. I hope you're having a lovely time and enjoying some sunny weather.
I'm trying to catch up. It seems to be a regular comment from me just lately, doesn't it. It really is one thing after another - I shall be glad when 2024 is over at this rate!

Morning ladies
It’s a nice calm morning, rained hard during the night so wet out.
Daisy
Talking with good friends makes the time fly doesn’t it , good you had a nice couple of days.
Ive finished downstairs put a wash on everything hoovered and had a quick shower,
Im going to touch up little bits on the paint work that have been chipped with the hoover after I’ve had a rest ,
I might leave the utility emulsion till tomorrow now .
MIL was fine when my DD went , she always is, she listens to DD,
They did the forms DD checked her aids to see she had the right ones although she wants most sent back 🙄
They also talked about the rug being a trip hazard on the wooden floor, she might take notice of DD she won’t listen to us.
Dorothy was sent home last night,
with COVID on the ward they thought it was safer for her to go home with nurses going out each day for as long as they are needed.Im not fat just 6ft too small

Good morning. Oma, that is the first thing they tell us during fall prevention, remove all rugs from the floors!!! I hope that your friend recovers at home with the nursing.
I have been to the gym, leg day today! It is GD's 19th birthday, we are going out for a meal this evening then DIL is cooking tomorrow evening, DS2 and DIL will be there as well as DIL's sister, I will have to put up with that!!!
It is also 23 years ago today that my hubby died, someone asked me yesterday why I never bother to look for another man in all those years, I didn't say but I think I have been through enough with men!!!

Good morning everyone.
I don't like these dark gloomy mornings! There is some sun forecast later though.
Oma, getting home is probably the best thing for D. I hope she is soon on the mend.
Daisy, that sounds a nice time with your friends.
I hope Nan2 is having a lovely sunny time
The sports massages are not for pleasure really! They do help, but last night I was in quite a lot of discomfort which is not unusual after the deep massage. OK this morning!
Nothing much planned today. I need to pop over to DD1's I have given GS1 his present but I am lending them our birthday decorations so will take these over, and some apples which I forgot t take the other day, as they are presently carless.
I also need to sort out the cats room for Monday.
Have a good weekend everyone.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Rugs, very dangerous things, especially for the elderly as we don’t pick our feet up. I hope your Mil listens to your DD Oma.
Gemini, preparations starting for the arrival of the kittens, how exciting for you.
Lizzie, I didn’t give it a thought to get married again. No man could replace my OH.
Oma, You are right not to tackle too much in one day. What a good thing your Mil will take advice from your DD.
I am expecting DS and Dil either late morning or this afternoon, it looks like being this afternoon. I imagine it is to see me before they go away next Sunday, they will be away for my birthday. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Good Saturday morning (just!). The sun's shining, but everywhere is very wet.
I'm not sure where this morning has gone, and I'll have to come back in a minute or two - need to make a phone call first.

Oma, I was pleased to see D has been sent home. She'll be much safer there than on a ward with Covid going round, and she's sure to be more comfortable and relaxed. Is J ok now after his health scare?
Gem, I can imagine that the sports massages are very "thorough" and leave you feeling a bit bruised and battered, but I'm sure they are good in the medium and long term. Not long now till your kittens arrive. You sound very well prepared and ready to welcome them. Do kittens settle into a new home quicker than adult cats?
Plant, what a pity DS and DIL will be away for your birthday, but when you think about it it means your birthday lasts much longer if you start celebrating now. xx
Lizzie, the advice about rugs is very sensible. We've got rugs all over downstairs and we do pick most of them up if we are worried about certain visitors who might trip. Dog toys are another hazard we have to keep picking up as well!
Apart from washing bedding, I'm not doing much today. I need to do some cooking apples to put in the freezer, and I've got various vegetables that need using up, so I'll make some soup. That's the plan anyway!

Back again!
I had a lazy start , then went over to DD1's. I dropped off the things then drove her to the place she is getting a hire car from whilst hers is fixed.
I then spent some money in PetsatHome
Daisy, kittens will settle quicker than older cats, and having two together should help.
