Plant our local WI almost closed but was saved.

Oma, poor D. You have always said what a sweet lady she is, I really hope she is much better soon.

Enfys and Plant. It does feel strange going out alone again after an illness or accident. It felt very strange to me after my knee op. In fact I went to Asda once walked straight out with nothing as it felt overwhelming. You are both doing well now getting out there.

WG I'm so sorry you are having all this pain. Roll on operation day.

Nan2 do you fly tomorrow? Happy holidays if so!

Well, I will update on GS1 on that thread I think.
Library was very busy this morning with a school visit. A whole host of Year 3s .

The kittens - for those who cant see them on the Pets section.
The calico female looks bigger than the black and white male on this photo but she isnt! These photos are from the cat rescue page. We didn't take our phones in when we went to visit and to be honest we had 5 kittens madly dashing about so wouldn't have got any photos

Gemini, I felt very strange going out on my own today to WI but felt more relaxed later. These ladies were people I had know for years and several of them are very close friends.

Oh dear, I turn my back for a few hours on a couple of busy days, and have such a lot to catch up on.

Oma, it's good news that D's kidney function has improved and the new antibiotics have started to work. I do hope they can help with the problems with her poor legs. No wonder she's feeling a bit tearful, but I'm sure you and B managed to make her smile. Did she like the cake?

Plant, how sad that your local WI is closing, but it's always the same - if you can't get members who have the time and/or inclination to do the work, you have no choice. But I'm really glad you managed to get out and enjoy the lunch. That alone will do you good.

WeeGranny, it's such a shame your op was postponed and when you're feeling in so much pain you must be feeling frustrated. I think you're doing the right things though and taking pain relief and resting when you need to. Sending hugs. I love the pillar box toppers. It does seem a bit "Dark Ages" to want payment by cheque these days. I do have a cheque book still, but can't remember when I last used it. OH's pensioners' club are all ex-bank staff, so it's all done electronically.

Enfys, it's so good to hear you are getting out and about, and are feeling better - even though you're shattered with all your busy social activities in the last few days. Having a quiet day to rest and gather yourself together again is really important, and you are doing everything you can to get back to normal. How are the bruise and cut now?

Gem, those kittens are adorable. I remember my DIL1's cat when she was a kitten, and she was so playful, and loved a cuddle, too.

Lizzie, a shortage of medical specialists sounds all too familiar, unfortunately. I hope you can find someone to see you.

We've had a lovely day out today. I'll do a write-up about the museum tomorrow, and, yes it is where the Repair Shop is filmed - they were filming outside today so we were able to stand and watch for a while.

                  It's raining here.

Oma, hope there is no more setbacks for D. Hope she doesn't get covid, that would be all she needs.

WG, sorry you are in so much pain.

No plans for us today. Just a few last minute jobs to do.

Dinner today is chicken and bacon pie, mash, veg and gravy. Hubby's choice.

                    Good morning everyone.

                    Nice dinner choice Nan2.

Oma, fingers crossed D stays clear of Covid. It never rains but it pours

I'm glad you have good day our Daisy.

Plant, I'm sure it did you good to be out and meeting friends.

Aqua this morning, then probably coffee there. I have a reflexology treatment this afternoon. Her prices rise from today so I will be booking 6 weekly treatments from now on rather than 4.

Good Wednesday morning, everyone. It's quite mild here, but damp and grey.

Gem, enjoy your aqua. Prices seem to be rising everywhere, but what a pity it affects your reflexology treatment.

Nanto, not long now! Then you can relax and enjoy your holiday. That pie sounds delicious - good choice of your OH's. By the way, thank you for the coffee - it's obviously meant for me with the daisy near by!

It's Wednesday as usual here. OH has gone to play cars with his last of the summer wine buddies, although if it rains they will probably sit and chat about cars instead! I'm going to get some housework done before dog training this afternoon.

Daisy I am lucky in that my massage and reflexology ladies both give me a Friends and Family discount, but as I have both treatments it still a lot. In time I may be able to drop the regular massages but its certainly not time yet.
I hope Eva has a nice doggy session.

I am off to the Games afternoon later, had a bit of a busy morning, just sorting things out. Dull but not actually raining atm.

Daisy, love your name for OH and his friends, which one is he?

Oma, I do hope your friend D doesn’t catch Covid just to add to her health issues.

Gemini, When can you fetch your new kittens?

Nanto, nearly time for your off, I hope you have a good journey.

Good morning, there is more wind by the sound of it, I was going to Rotterdam for the Euromast, I have decided to maybe go tomorrow. I went on the bike to Ikea yesterday, for a long shoe horn!! They are very long at the moment as well

Oma, I think covid will be everywhere, I hear from quite a few here that have (had) it.

WG, I do hope that the operation goes through for you this time.

I forgot to post this again!!! I did go to the Euromast, it was so warm, I walked back into town, sweating!!

Afternoon ladies , never had a chance to come on this morning, workmen have been here since 7.45 it’s been non stop,
Seem to have just made endless cups of tea and coffee,

The house is a tip, tools, boxes etc everywhere,
Doors open so it’s freezing in here ,
Boiler in , joiner busy boxing in the pipes , plasterer and electrician coming the same time tomorrow then the gas inspector.

Its been a bigger job than we expected, the new flue has to go through my utility roof , the old one went through the wall ,

Lovely lads never even stopped for lunch so I’ve kept them supplied with chocolate biscuits ,
Offered bacon sandwiches but they said no coffee tea and biscuits were fine.

Had to leave them to it at 11.30 as I had blood tests but I was only gone 20 minutes.

Will try to catch up later xx
