Oma, GD2 does enjoy the work, they have known the owner for years, their daughter is the same age, same schools etc and besties!!!! The cappuccino was good, the owner was there, I asked the daughter how her phone was now, I got the screen fixed for her, she did tell her parents after it had been done, the lady said " I hear you was in the plot as well!!!!! She is the same age as DI1, 54 and has just had a hip replacement.

I hope that they get your eyes settled this time .

Lizzie, I don’t know what your family and friends would do without you stepping in when needed.

Oma, we are a pair, I hope your painful back gets better soon.

Poor H hurt her foot yesterday at pre-school and finished up at a casualty clinic. Not broken fortunately but she doesn’t like using it. Just been in to see how she was and she was doing carpet puzzles with her GM. Just had a delivery from Waitrose, managed to put it all away.

        Afternoon ladies,
Its very dark and wet plus it’s chilly so not as nice as this morning.

Poor H , I hope it’s not long before the soreness eases but I bet she’s chatty enough 😁

        Lizzie
that’s young for a hip replacement isn’t it,
My niece is 54 she’s down for double knee replacements.
She did running for years, right up till two years ago, very fit but it took a toll on her knees eventually .

Well I went to opticians did a full eye test again, that was right.
Turns out it’s the lenses that are wrong so they have ordered new lenses, should take about a week,

Very nice young Indian did all the test really friendly but god did he have bad breath,
I tried to breath through my mouth rather than my nose , it could strip paint at 40 yards as B would say 😁

Just done some ironing, luckily not much so didn’t have to stand long ,
I am getting better though and walking although slower is helping more than sitting around.

Plant, our Waitrose deliveries must have arrived at about the same time! My fridge is now stocked for the week ahead, plus I've been trying to keep on top of cupboard essentials so DS doesn't have t worry too much about grocery shopping while he's here!

Gem some of the people on the 'Hippie' forum are in their late 30s early 40s! Not sure how they're needing hip replacements at that young age! Mine is just worn out mainly due to old age!!

Well, the painkillers finally caught up with me yesterday and I slept most of the day! I thought I wouldn't have been able to sleep last night, but I did! Not even a comfort break in the early hours! I felt so much better in myself this morning, but sadly the pain is still there. I feel for you both. Oma and Plant!

It's been a day of sunshine ( a bit) and showers here! Definitely getting chillier!

          Enjoy your evening ladiesx

Good afternoon. Quite pleasant here today, no more rain thank goodness and not cold. Feeling so much better these last couple of days so I went to the library this morning for our knit and natter. So pleased I made the effort it was nice to see everyone again and catch up with them. Onwards and upwards.

how is your back now Oma? Are you feeling better Plant?

It’s been very mild here, haven’t had the heating on yet. Although I did use the heated throw DD bought me last winter yesterday evening, it’s very cosy and saves heating the whole place.

Hello everyone. It's been a busy day visiting the cruise ship - and we didn't even leave port.

We called next door to collect Eva when we got back and ended up staying for a "quick drink" which was neither quick nor drink singular. We'd had a good lunch on the ship so just had egg on toast and a cup of tea - and I'm ready for bed.

I'll write about the cruise ship separately, but with DS2 and family coming for lunch tomorrow it will be much later in the day.

I've read through everyone's posts, but quite honestly I'm too tired to think straight, so I'll catch up tomorrow.

Wow Daisy, a busy day for you yesterday. Hope you enjoyed it.

A busy morning for us today.
I've just prepared celery and broccoli for the freezer. We like celery in stews/casseroles.

Hubby is going down to the bungalow to help his brother take a shed down. Before he goes he's going to get the suitcases down for me.

It's an easy dinner today, I took a homemade hot pot out of the freezer last night. We'll have it with cabbage and sweetcorn.

                  Onwards and upwards.

                      Good morning.

I am beyond excited as we are arranging a visit to see a litter of kittens to hopefully adopt 2

Nan2, getting the cases down day is always exciting!

I hope little H's foot is less painful today.

Enfys, I'm glad to hear you are on the mend. My DD1 has one of those heated throws and loves it.

Busy day Daisy, I look forward to hearing about the cruise experience.

Oma, less pain doesn't mean clean the whole house - take it easy! I'm very glad you are in a lot less pain though.

Covid jabs at 10.25, so I must get ready. I am looking after GS1 tonight while DD has a night out.

Gemini, you are going to be busy looking after 2 kittens, very exciting. H is not happy putting her foot down and it is slightly bruised.

Nanto, not long now for your holiday, do you like packing. I find it difficult not to take the kitchen sink

Oma, I agree with Gemini, take it easy. Hope Mil is in a good mood.

Good morning, nice day here so far. Had a nice chat with DS on FaceTime. They have recently moved to a new house so have been very busy, everything sorted out now and it was good to see them settled. Their new house is right by the beach with some lovely views and they seem really happy with it. DGS is off to uni soon, he will be 18 next month. I can’t believe it, where do the years go!

Oma, I’m feeling much better in myself thank you and have healed up really well. The gash over my eye is barely visible and I’m just left with a bruised and swollen cheekbone. Hopefully that will gradually go and I should be back to normal. I was so lucky, it could have been so much worse. I do seem to get tired quicker, had a shower this mirn8ng and by the time I was dressed I was absolutely worn out. I keep forgetting how old I am so shouldnt be surprised.

no plans for today, so going with the flow. Have a good day everyone,

A very brief Good Sunday morning, everyone.

We're expecting DS2 and family any minute and I'm cooking a roast dinner. I'm sure it takes me longer to do things like that now than it used to! I'll drop back in later.

Enfys, snap! I am exhausted after a shower and getting dressed, it seems to have been so quick a time to feel like this, although our falls can’t have helped. Pleased to read you have healed well.
