Good morning, I am full of cold, I got soaked on Friday, I had a raincoat on, but, it rained so hard the rest of me got wet! This was all to get the new screen for the phone of GD2's friend!! This was all done without her parents knowing!!! She got the phone in June the dropped it, they had a new screen fitted for her and told her if it happened again they would confiscate it!!! So, when it happened again she daren't tell her parents, this was 3 weeks ago, GD2 told her that her nan has a "friend" that repairs them. I should be so lucky!!! Well, I must say he is very friendly. She must have emptied her money box to pay for it! I have said to get a new case, one with higher edges then it is protected when it falls, I hope she listened!

DS2 phoned yesterday, they have had a good holiday Creta, Jesse is almost 3 and she loved the pools!

I am invited to DS1 and family for a meal this evening, I hope I manage to feel better.

Oma, your MIL is doing well.

Did I mention a lady opposite here was taken to the hospital? She had cancer of the lungs. A few months ago she got herself a dog, a lovely terrier, I often met her when she was out walking, when she was having treatment she advertised in the local paper for people to take the dog out whilst she was having chemo etc, M, my neighbour did it a few times, the poor lady died last week, only 63 years old. The dog is with family at the moment, I hope it can stay there though.

I am going to get myself dressed, no gym this morning, I will see how I feel tomorrow. I do hope to get to a friends art exhibition this afternoon, the exhibitions are all over the village for 3 days, very popular, and, everything is so well done!

      Good Sunday morning ladies.

Lizzie, I hope you are soon over your cold. DD3 and family have had a horrible one. I hope you feel up to the art exhibition and meal at DS's.

I hope you all have a lovely meal Nan2.

No plans today apart from going round to friends for a catch up after tea.
OH and a friend are playing golf as the course has now reopened.

        Morning everyone

        Nanto
We are getting too old for music that loud but as long as the birthday girl enjoyed it,

Hope you have a quieter meal today.

        Gem
These nights dinner in your PJs is a must.
Then settle down and watch telly😁

        Lizzie
Hope you feel up to lunch today, how sad for that ladies family and her little dog.

We were supposed to have the dog today but DD had to travel down last night because the main door to GSs flat downstairs had been locked and he didn’t have the key with him.
He had gone for a takeaway and couldn’t get back in , it was 1am so no one around to let him in ,
So had to eat his takeaway in the car till DD got there with a key , 1-45 minutes later 🙄

Im not fat just 6ft too small

Oma, Oh dear, your poor daughter having to turn out so late, I don’t suppose he will do that again. Your Mil is enjoying herself now she is feeling better.

Lizzie, your GD’s know where to come to for help, I bet that young lady was pleased to get her phone case fixed.

Nanto, enjoy your family meal out today, much quieter I hope.

Daisy, Nice to have some left-overs so you don’t have to cook.

            Good Sunday morning, everyone.

Nanto, it's so frustrating when music drowns out what people are saying. What with being cold as well, I would have left early too. I'm sure today's celebration will be much more relaxed, and hopefully warmer. I hope the birthday girl has a lovely time.

Lizzie, that sounds like a really horrible cold. I hope you keep warm and have a rest. Your GD2's friend is so lucky that you rescued her phone for her. Let's hope she's more careful with it now. Take care. xx

Gem, I bet S is pleased the golf course is open again. Enjoy your peaceful day.

Oma, how frustrating for both your DD and GS1. At least he could sit in the car and eat his takeaway.

We're hoping to do some gardening today, but at the moment the lawn is too wet and it's due to rain about lunch time.

              Daisy, did rain stop gardening?!

Oma, my DD3 was constantly locking herself out, forgetting keys etc. Shes 36 and still not above doing so

OH enjoyed golf but didn't win (I thought she was playing with a friend. I was wrong, it was competition. I do listen sometimes! )

I got a washload dried outside, made a batch of soup, and caught up with some TV and The Archers.
OH's turn to cook and it's the dreaded quiche

Plant, our posts crossed earlier. I've still got left over pudding for tonight. . I hope you've been feeling a bit better today. Have you been out?

Lizzie, did you carry on as planned today, or nurse your cold? I hope you're feeling better as well.

Gem, I think mishearing/not remembering that S was playing in a competition is totally forgivable. But perhaps the dreaded quiche isn't so easily forgiven! .

Yes, I got the lawn cut and the edges trimmed, swept the patio as much as I could in the wind and did some deadheading. There's lots more to do, but I'd had enough by then and it was lunch-time. I'm just off to take Eva for a little walk before she starts asking for her dinner. No idea what OH and I are going to have though - apart from left-over pud!

Oma, your poor DD having to do that long journey at that time of the morning.

We had a lovely afternoon and a lovely meal. We enjoyed it more than last night.

Gem, i don't like quiche, hubby isn't as fussy as me,and he doesn't like it either.

Good morning. It's been raining now for 12 hours, will it ever stop.

Hope those feeling under the weather, feel better soon.

After our socialising over the weekend, it's back to our normal routine.

I'll be busy this morning, so dinner is chips, egg and peas.

                      Morning Nanto/ everyone.
Dark and windy but rain has stopped.

I dislike quiche it’s the texture makes me gag.

                      Daisy
At least the lawn is cut , what did you end up having for tea?

                      Nanto
You need a day of doing nothing after the weekend , put your feet up with a cupper and something nice 😁

                      Plant
                      How are you today?

I have my new glasses to pick up at 9 then hairdresser coming to cut Dorothy’s hair at 11 then visit MIL tonight.
I would have gotten hairdresser to cut mine today but in in with her Wednesday for my colour so no point.

We had a lovely visit from Connor yesterday tea time ( our GSs friend & flatmate)
he was off back down to Leeds but popped in for some advice about his car from B before he left,
Only a minor problem with some light or other , I wasn’t really listening.
Hes a lovely lad we have known him since he was a toddler.

I didn’t sleep well last night just one of those restless nights, then when it was time to get up I could have slept for England.
So I’m tired before the long day starts.

Good morning everyone. A new week.

Nan2 you may be glad of a less busy day socially!

Oma, it's the texture of quiche for me too mainly. I asked OH to bake it earlier so mine could cool down and it was a lot more palatable! I hate those sleepless nights, I had one last week. Better night for you tonight hopefully.

Lizzie, how is the cold did you get to DS's for a meal?

Daisy did you find something for dinner, or just settle for pud?!

Aqua this morning. I woke with very painful back and hip so I will be avoiding all those twisty exercises.
DD3 is at the eye department at the hospital this afternoon , having been referred by the optician last week. She will drop GS3 here with us first.

I hope everyone is doing ok today.

Good morning, Gem, I don't know if it is a cold or allergies! My eyes are so sore, I have come to the conclusion that it is an allergy, for what I do not know.

I did go for a meal and enjoyed it, GD1 was out with her boyfriend, where does time go, they had been to the zoo then going for a meal in town. GD2 was very excited telling me about getting her scooter license as soon as she is 16!!

It has just started to rain here, the same here until Wednesday.

I have been to the garden centre, DS1 put some lovely plant tables in the garage, what I didn't hear was it is only temporary, I brought them up here and love them, I heard last night that DIL has plans for them, I have looked on line for the same but couldn't find any, I have just been to the garden centre where they bought them, apparently very popular, some new ones coming in at the end of the week.

Aqua this afternoon, the lady that I usually go with is on a 10 day bus trip, England, Ireland, Scotland then back to England before travelling home!

Good Monday morning, everyone. It've been raining yesterday and overnight, but has stopped now.

Lizzie, I hope your cold is on the mend.

Oma, what a busy day for you today, especially after a sleepless night. Take care. I'm sure B was able to sort out Connor's car problem. He does sound such a nice lad. Is that who your GS flat shares with?

Gem, do you know what caused your back and hip to be so painful? I hope the 'good' exercises at aqua will make it better. Fingers crossed that DD3's eyes are ok.

Enfys, how are you feeling now after a week-end back at home?

Is WeeGranny back from holiday yet? If so, I bet she's finding is chilly.

Nanto, a comfort meal like egg, chips and peas sounds just right after your busy socialising week-end. Did your GD enjoy everything?

                            Plant, how are you? xxx

I did a quick chickpea and vegetable curry last night, plus the left over pud, of course.

OH has an eye appointment at lunch time. We're both always glad when they're over, and wish the appointment was first thing this morning - less waiting around if you're at the front of the queue. There are some really bad roadworks on our way as well, so it either means a long detour or sitting in a traffic jam. It took me 50 minutes to get through it last week.
