This morning my mum has a routine blood test, which I take her to. I have a client to go to late afternoon. In between OH and I will go to the carpet shop again.

Good morning everyone. Oma and Nanto - sorry you've not had a good night's sleep. I woke about 5 am to find Eva sprawled out down the middle of the bed fast asleep - I don't know how long she'd been there, but it was a bit chilly! Needless to say I didn't get up at that early hour!

Gem - I hope your mum's blood test goes ok today. Have you chosen the carpet now? Much as I would love a hot tub, I wouldn't hang about getting in or out at this time of the year!

I've woken up this morning with the cold that was threatening yesterday, but I've got a few chores I must do before I go to fetch GD2 from playgroup. I've also got to remember to go the long way round because the road is closed yet again for the whole week!

A bit grey and drizzly here, I need to strip my bed and put the electric blanket back and the winter duvet on. I might leave it until tomorrow as I have bowls this afternoon and might be too tired to play well and nothing on tomorrow.

I went back at 6 and got up at 8 Gem ,
Just did my ironing and flicked the duster and hoover around and cant be A***d to do any more
Was going to clear a few more leaves and wash window sills outside but at the moment its a useless job ,
No sooner is it done and more leaves are falling and I cant keep up with the dirt on the windowsills , how can rain be so dirty ?

Are you ordering your carpet today Gem or just getting more samples ?

A friend of ours has a hot tub , it seems a faff on to me for the amount of time they use it and I wouldn't be using it in the winter
Although a family at the top of our estate who happen to be the Grandparents of my GS1s friend , Have built a brick sort of summer house with lighting and heating to keep there hot tub in

We know what colour we want now, from the samples Oma, but we want a different range. We want stainproof, but this range is a few pounds more per metre than the other stainproofs, because it is lifetime guaranteed against stains. However once we read the small print in the leaflet we brought home - A It's only guaranteed against food and drink spills, not cats being sick (!) and B It becomes invalid unless you have your carpets proffessionally cleaned every 2 years. Not only does this add more cost to an already expensive carpet, it is hassle moving furniture. So, armed with which colour we like, we will look trough the not quite so expensive stain free range!

Hot tubs - a couple of years ago we went to the New Forest (very near Daisy) for NYE with our eldest and family. They had a hot tub and even hough it was Bruddy freezing the family (not us) spent an enormous amount of time in there. Little princess particularly loved it

glorious morning here. 7 am and sitting on patio having coffee and juice. No blasted monkeys peeing everywhere. Glad we held out and made them move us.....

Gem , that seems to be the way things are now, you think you are getting a bargain with all pitfalls covered for and there , hiding away in the small print is a disclaimer which would apply 90% claims submitted . We had a similar problem with our insurance for our cat. She had to have treatment at the vets which cost well over £150 in total. Never mind I thought, I claim on her insurance ....oh no I couldn't ....the vet had put down on the form that her ill health was due to stress and , yes you've guessed it, she isn't covered for stress. Needless to say I haven't renewed her policy .

Well, we now have more samples. The cats are delighted with these little rectangles of new carpet to sit on
We won't have time to go in tomorrow, so hopefully by Wednesday we will have come to a decision!

Afternoon chums Last post lol for hols had a busy day so far had to have 💅 it’s tradition, payed the visa which was due whilst away, picked up euros and milk , why is it that milk never lasts when your only going to be home another 24 hrs 😟
We are up at silly o’clock have to be at airport for 7 and it’s an hr journey 🚗✈️ So early night tonight last bits to pack, remembering all the leads for charging , I’m just taking my iPhone no offence but I just want to spend time with my beloved, many bars to visit 🍺🍷 now don’t get me wrong my OH is t total so we are not big on drink, but just to sit outside and people watch, and just explore the place will be heaven , so no GRU till I am back then I might do a journal not sure I will have anything to report though, we are going on the ferry to Lanzarote and intend to spend each day doing something interesting might try the Aqua park and come down the shute at 50 mls an hour 🤔 or maybe not .
We don’t usually do self catering I like a hotel ,like being waited on don’t often get the chance, but getting up for breakfast at some silly hour drives us mad, so we have a 2storey apt a sun terrace on the ground floor and a balcony in the bedroom it’s a sea view room so will chill ou and enjoy the sea I find it memorising flowing in and out , well that’s the idea but reading Zizi problems we don’t know for sure but it cost a small fortune so it had better be good, we shall eat out every night that to me is a holiday just like a lay in on a morning 🙂

Gem hope the carpet is sorted by the time I get back and everyone is well on with their Xmas shopping ,

Oma I have cleaned everything just in case we have burglars , and despite the time I shall vac myself out of the door leaving vac in hallway so if we do have them they will break their necks over it 👍🏻

Snow is forecast this week oh dear keep warm and I will be stripping off with dignity
