    Good morning everyone.

Nan2, I hope you enjoy your anniversary meal out, despite being tired.
Oma, poor thing, I hope you feel better really soon.

I hope everyone who is under the weather soon feels well.

I have a meeting this morning with the man who has been doing a lot of the secretary's role on the library friends group that I belong to. He is one of the city councillors and a very busy man but does a lot for us, including chairing the meetings when the chair can't be there. Hopefully he can explain in more detail what I am to do, and I can relieve him of some of his duties.

This afternoon I am taking my mum to visit her oldest friend, and doing mums shopping.

Good morning everyone. Just a quick hello from me as we're off out soon - helping a friend celebrate his 70th birthday. I don't know how our friends got to be so old when we're just still youngsters!!!

whatever you're doing I hope the days goes well and I'll see you later for a proper catch up. The puppy name poll is still open if anyone wants to join in.

A miserable wet day here y asthma review was cancelled the nurse is ill, well I expect they are only human lo and get sick like the rest of us, actually she is a frowns as well she had a lung removed when she was just 40 a few years ago, she soon gets run down these days. Needless to say we still had our flu jabs, ever felt a thing I think she deserves a sticker 😀

OH back to opticians this aft but he is losing a bit of faith In them , I can see (like the pun ) him cancelling the specs and carrying on with his old specs 🤓

Wasing in machine but will be visiting the garage and the tumble drier today, and that ironing is still waiting

            Really wet here too Qwerty.

OH had to go to this afternoons golf, as she in in charge of the 'hat', from which they draw names to to make up the teams for the Thursday afternoon golf. She has no intentions of playing herself, I doubt anyone will! The clubhouse will benefit from some custom I think

Someone should tape my mouth up to stop me volunteering for things LOL!
Now I have volunteered to deliver some of the Lib Dem leaflets which come though our letter boxes! Seriously, I do like the Lib Dems, and it always helps to be friends with a local councillor He was extremely grateful, and it only 4 or 5 times a year, around our village. He knows a lot about computers etc too, so who knows how that may come in useful for us at GRU!

Our day has gone to plan. The doctor we saw was a lady and she seemed really nice, welcoming us with a big smile and commenting on the weather She was a locum so unfortunately won't be staying though all our regular GPs are approachable.
The barometer has dropped rapidly so more horrible weather on the way.

                              Good morning ladies.

I do hope all the poorly people are feeling better - I don't think the weather helps. Perhaps that's where the phrase 'under the weather' comes from!! LOL

Gem - you are a glutton for punishment, but delivering leaflets isn't too bad - and I'm sure there will be times when you get a little helper to speed things up! Have a lovely day with GS2, and good luck to your OH in her golf competition.

Nanto - I'm glad you have enjoyed your anniversary. The big 5-0 next year! Have you made any plans yet? It's rained here overnight, but I'm hoping it stays dry - the washing basket is overflowing!

Our friend's birthday lunch was lovely It was held at a well-known yacht club - our friend and his wife don't sail anymore but they are race officers there. They're a lovely couple and very hospitable. The birthday boy was quite resistant to admitting his age but his wife persuaded him to celebrate. There were quite a few people there that I knew well when our boys were at school, but haven't seen for maybe 4 or 5 years, and it was quite shocking that some of them looked very frail and elderly. OH, our friend M and I spent the day wondering if they had looked at us and thought the same! The sun even managed to make a brief experience and the view over the Lymington River to the Solent were fabulous. By the time we had got home and taken Eva out for a run in the paddock the effects of rather a lot of champagne were catching up with me and I had a nice early night.

Oma - I'm sure Storm would have enjoyed the pheasants. Perhaps they have just bred well this year - I think it was a good spring for lots of birds and small animals, but it's sad to see them like that. We saw 3 dead badgers while we were away.

Morning ladies , my goodness you have been a busy lot ,
Daisy your day sounds wonderful , but we do forget people are getting older , its like when you see someone from Telly you haven't seen for years and they make a appearance you always say oh he /she is looking old don't you
Gem as if you didn't already have enough to do woman now leaflets and the library
Nanto pleased your meal was good a nice end to your Anniversary day xx

Its wet and dull again , not much on today , I was up early so all my jobs done I bought a very nice mirror yesterday for above the downstairs loo , so I have hung that while B put the boxing in back in from where it had to come out for the plumber to fit the new bit to the sink ,
Dog is happy in the garden watching next doors cats again and carrying his new bone chew around incase anyone steals it

Daisy I said to B yesterday these people who eat road kill would have a feast on their hands , another two are lying in our little back road this morning ,
I always feel a little sad for them but as B said they don't go to waste the local foxes and wild life will eat them ,
We had a hedgehog dead in the gutter at the bottom of the road and its slowly been ate by the Magpies ,
Sounds gruesome but its the cycle of life isn't it .
Im not fat just 6ft too small
