Its raining here at the moment so its a good job I have caught up with my jobs I wanted to do outside. The garden is looking more like autumn now.
The hanging baskets been taken down as they had become untidy .

I have been very good and done some yoga this morning, I'm finding as its getting cooler the old body doesn't want to bend without complaining

How is everyone this morning, I hope you are all well

Afternoon all just, Daisy there are not enough quiet days are they, I had one yesterday until I picked up g/d from school then she ate us out of house and home only to look in her lunchbox to find she'd only eaten a sandwich, didn't have her drink, crisps, and blueberries she did however remember her chocolate bar.
Today however is another quiet day the kids are still away so tickled the bathrooms and even had time to make a smoothie good heavens what has happened to me 😜
Gem and Nan2 I take my hat off to you also for looking after elderly parents, it must be difficult at times you deserve a medal🥇🥇I'm going to make you real ones when I can made out of foil 😀

Spent most of the morning cleaning out the greenhouse, very sad when I think of all the plants I have grown in there but not needed now. It is looking very tidy, we use it to keep tools in to save a longer walk to the shed. I then took some clothes to the charity shop and picked up some more fruit from the co-op. Noticed that the recycling paper bin had room so came back loaded up mine and disposed of it. Feel I have had a good productive day so I have promised myself a pre-dinner drink.

We had lunch out at that well known venue- Morrisons
Had a look round TK Max but though tempted didn't buy anything
As we ate at lunchtime we are having fresh crusty bread and butter with strawberry jam, followed by fresh fruit cream tart for tea.

I was supposed to be going up to town this afternoon but was told not to by my line manager. My company appears to be in deep sticky stuff! We have been kicked off one of our major sites today (£275M) and we have only just moved our site huts in there. Obviously the client is not liking the negative publicity. Oh dear. Meeting tomorrow, well telephone conference, to be told what is going on. Not looking forward to that I can tell you.

So instead I sorted husbands travel bag and documents in between answering emails and doing spreadsheets etc. I did some washing, sorted out the ironing for the fairy, agreed with husband that "anything flat" can be done at home leaving the shirts etc for the fairy. Mmmmm I wonder who is going to inherit the "anything flat"? Yep I think I know too, mind you if that means spending ages ironing on my carefully negotiated off days it is going straight back to the fairy I can tell you.

Another vote for fresh crusty bread and butter with jam here

You are good starting the day with yoga Mimi!

Good to get 2 weeks off hospital visits for B, Oma.

You deserve that drink Plant. G & T?!

Oh dear, I wonder what is going on Zizi?

Clever GD not leaving her chocolate bar Qwerty
I've bought pizza for GDs tea tomorrow. I can't be faffed with cooking when I have her baby brother all day and a long drive to school. She has her main meal at school anyway, so I don't feel quite so bad if I don't cook.

This morning I went to Asda for petrol, Sainsburys for flowers and vase and after collecting my parcel I called in on mums friend, and took her the flowers. It was good to see her. She is improving and doesn't need the carers coming in any more. She has one of those walkers with a tray on to help her get around the house and carry things.
Mums shopping, then to mums this afternoon. It is her birthday next Tuesday (89) she cant believe she has got to that age!

Mmm, lovely, with loads of butter

Poured with rain all day here, popped over to see DD and SIL this morning then on to have our flu jabs. Exciting eh . Sorted out wardrobe this afternoon, got all my jumpers organised and ready to wear, have been so cold these last few days. I really feel the cold, am sitting here with a hot water bottle. Don't want to put the heating on yet, it's just me... DH is still only wearing a t shorf!

It's been wet and wintery here nearly all day, but it did brighten up towards tea time and I took Eva out for a walk in the Forest. The ground is already saturated and very boggy.

Mimi - your yoga halo is shining brightly!

Qwerty - we definitely need more quiet days, but if we got them we'd probably say we miss the busy ones! LOL It's amazing how much a slender 7 year old girl can eat (and her little sister keeps up, too!)

Plant - you've definitely earned a G&T or two! Our greenhouse looks sad - full of spent vegetable plants. I need to clear them out and give it a good wash before we take the tender plants in there for the winter.

Clover - I would definitely have come and joined you for tea!

Zizi - what on earth is going on! It sounds serious. Safe journey to your OH. I'm sure your friend's family will appreciate him making such a long journey to be with them - and will understand your work commitments. If necessary we will nag you - your carefully acquired days off are NOT to be spent anywhere near that flat steamy thing! x

Enfys - it seemed cold all day, but when I went out with Eva it was quite mild and humid. After our walk we sat in the boot of the car with the tailgate up watching the world go by and it was lovely, and very peaceful.

My heating has been programmed to come on for several weeks Enfys, I do feel the cold. I must get my winter duvet out and the electric blanket.

Felt quite chilly this morning when i got up.
Nothing special planned today, apart from going to see eldest grandaughter later, and take her presents.
It's her birthday next week, but her and her partner will be working every day, so if we don't see her today, might not get a chance later.

Morning all, it felt a little on the cold side this morning when I put the cat out but according to the weather boffins we are supposed to have a few days of nice warm weather..... oh yea? Just like the long, hot summer they predicted....to quote my mum.....We'll see !

Not it a lot planned today apart from waiting for my groceries to be delivered, I really don't know how I cope with all this non stop excitement.
