Well done Mimi. DH goes though phases of buying things, usually all looking the same. At the moment I'm working hard to persuade him that he really doesn't need yet another navy blue fleece but he gravitates towards them whenever we are out. He only ever wears the same one so can't understand why he wants to buy more
Daisy, we did the supermarket run this morning and DH chose things he could cook (reheat) whilst I'm away. I dare say he'll live on chips, but it won't hurt for a couple of days. Am I bovvered 😎

Well,I've had a horrible morning.Eating my toast and a tooth crown broke off. I rang dentist and they could fit me in at11.I then had to ring and postpone my cleaning job until tomorrow. Made our way to dentist and waited a while. Finally saw a young lady who looked about 18 .She said it wasn't a straightforward job as the crown and fixing were old. After an x-ray and a lot of uuuming and aahing she called in the senior partner. They had a long discussion and decided on a "plan" The senior man offered to do the work but she said she could "manage" After a lifetime lying on my back the senior came back and decided he would take over so I had to switch surgeries with a wait in the waiting room in between. Finally the job was done and after making more appointments for a completely new crown I came home feeling shell-shocked.
I quickly heated up some tomato soup for lunch and promptly spilled some down my top.
Today can only get better (I hope )
I hope the day is going better for everyone else.At least it's not raining here.
Oh Clover, one of those days.At least you got sorted today.
Afew days ago, we were talking on another thread, about time flying and grandchildren growing up.
I said i can't believe eldest GD is 22 at the end of this month. Well she isn't, she will be 23.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.
Clover I needed a extraction a few years ago now and it was a newly qualified dentist , well after pulling tugging and cutting 45 minutes later the senior dentist came in put his knee on the chair gave a good tug and out it came , I had to have stitches and then got a infection , needless to say I never went back to them , I know they have to learn but think they should be supervised for a while first ,
Hope they get your crown sorted without trouble , its not cheap either is it ,and your poor top ,Tomato soup can be a pain to get out .
Nanto shame on you forgetting how old GD is hahahaha
Bung ho all. Up and at 'em with avengance this morning. I had many plans for today but we had a new fireplace fitted this week and took the old one to the tip yesterday. There were many bags of very heavy rubble and now I hurt. But I am a woman and so I shall fulfill all my tasks with no complaints. 😐
Clover, this IS going to be a far better day, eat only non drip food and all will be well.

We were promised very high winds in the night, if we did I didn't hear them. Very sunny now and lovely blue sky but I expect it is cold outside. A couple of errands this morning and this afternoon I plan to visit a friend who not long ago lost her OH and is feeling very lost without him, it is early days yet for her.
What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare
Morning everyone. Ouch Oma..nothing like teeth/dentists to make your toes curl. Clover, what a horrible visit for you. Poor Grauntie, heavy lifting can give you aches in places where you never knew you had.
Now then, there's something I have to do today...oh yes...my hernia op' this afternoon. 🙈😂
