WeeGranny,it will be all go for you.

Cooled down a lot here, quite a breeze blowing.
I know thunderstorms are forecast for the south, don't know if they will come this far north.

Clover, what a frustrating afternoon. Hope all goes well with the scan etc.
WG you must be a mum in a million...or maybe you like football. 😬 you could sit there and knit like Madame Defarge.
I hear a rumble of the promised thunderstorm although it is cooler. Maybe that’s all we’ll get as usual. 🙄
Gd1 (11) loves to bake so this morning we started to gather her own chosen recipes which she copied in to a book. We enjoyed ourselves enormously. I should make more effort to bake but we’d be so fat. What a good excuse not to bother. 😆
      Have a good evening each.

WG you need to get your skates on love the way they just volunteer you for stuff it must be a boy thing

          Clover, what an afternoon
Plant no wonder you were hot and tired after all that walking.
I bet you and GD enjoyed the baking Grauntie. I don't bake much or would have even more weight to loose!!
          What a good mum WG

GS1 and I had fun at the park this afternoon. I had to decide which 'natural disaster' was to befall us, then he was to run and climb up or hide under various bits of equipment depending on the disaster!! (his idea for a game not mine)
He helped me when I was stuck, by suggesting Meteor Shower, and Acid Rain
I drove him home after tea, and left him in daddys capable hands. Mummy will be back this evening.

A late catch up for me today!

Everyone seems to be very busy just now. Don't overdo things, ladies.

Last night I was too tired to suggest to OH that having his wood-turning friend round here for today to work on a garden bench OH is making wasn't a good idea with two GDs and Cooper, plus Eva, of course. So I woke up this morning wondering how it was going to pan out. Fortunately, it went fine. I made a mackerel, mushroom and spinach frittata, plus hard boiled eggs salad and green salad for lunch, then GD2 said could she have chips, so I did those as well, so everyone was well fed. They did most of the work at the front of the house, so the children and dogs could use the back garden. But, I'm glad I've got (hpoefully) a free day tomorrow to read all the comments on here properly.

In the meantime, sleep well ladies - no night-time housework - you might wake me up!! xx

Hiya, sorry I've been AWOL for a while. We had our two GC for a sleepover Sunday-Monday. Great fun but exhausting....especially in the heat. Rested today then Gs1 tomoro, (well Weds) for a sleepover. Not even thought what we'll do together for him yet. Friday babysitting GS3 in the evening so late night. Sounds like you've all been busy ...again, sorry I can't reply to everyone. Keeping my eye on you though👁

Gem,GS certainly has a good imagination. He know how to keep you occupied.

Good morning all. Very cool and dull here this morning, rain forecast for later. We are off to the Heart Club gym later so I am glad it’s cooler. Hopefully I can then do some jobs in the garden after lunch.

Yeaterday evening there was shooting not far from us on a busy main road near a pub. Apparently there were armed police involved and there was at least one casualty. It’s horrible to hear something like this has happened, especially when it’s so close. It was in the tv news this morning. We have to drive past there on our way to hospital.

Hope you all have a good day.

Morning. Thanks Nan2 & Oma. Yes, we're certainly busy this week with GC. Going to medical appointments in between too. I can't imagine my GS (7yrs) being as old as your GS Oma. Funny to think of him as a teenager.

Audiology first to sort one of my hearing aids as it's overpoweringly loud. Where to take GS is anyone's guess?😉

Sorry Enfys our posts crossed. How awful that shootings are on the increase. Hope you both have a good session at the gym.

                          Morning all.

                          Overcast here at the moment.

Tesco delivery then some cooking for freezer on the agenda this morning.

Daisy I’m glad your day yesterday worked out better than you were expecting.Hope your “ free” day is just that today and you can choose what you want or don’t want to do.

Off to have a general tidy up.Just two of us so I don’t know how things get muddled.

Have a good day everyone and hope to see you later.

                            Good morning, Nanto and everyone.

I expected rain as well, Nanto, but although it's cloudy, it's dry and fairly warm. That's do for me for today, and I'm planning a lazy day with nothing more than a bit of pottering. The girls were painting yesterday and I didn't get round to washing out their paint palettes, so I'll do that, make up some dog food - oh, and I suppose cook dinner tonight.

I was just typing away when a bright green cricket/grasshopper landed on the back of my hand! I'm never sure which is which, but it just sat there looking at me. I noticed it in the room yesterday but then forgot about it. Anyway, it's back in the garden now.

Qwerty - I know that feeling! You're running round like a mad thing and OH is still snoring his head off! I hope the day improved.

Avo - that pool looks perfect for this summer. I bet the GCs have had loads of fun.

Mimi - sorry if I've missed it, but did you get a better broadband deal?

Plant - I hope it's a bit cooler for you today.

Clover - what a frustrating day for you. I hope the lack of change is good for you. How long will you have to wait for a scan? I don't know how our house gets so untidy either. I always blame Mr Nobody!! (the children always used to anwer the question "who did that?" with "Nobody, Mum"

WeeGranny - poor you, it sounds as though you're really suffering in the heat. I have a lovely mental image of you doing a stylish crawl behind the Mersey Ferry! It will be lovely to have your DS home for a while, even if you are frantically knitting in between providing transport to football matches. Who does he support?

Enfys - you are being very good about going to the Heart Club gym. How awful when something so violent happens so close to home. We just don't expect it!

Nana - you are a busy lady this week. I hope you don't suffer for it later. xx

Take care Nana not to overtire yourself with GC.

Not nice when you have a crime like that so close to where you live Enfys, hope it wasn't fatal.

Like the sound of your frittata Daisy, do you put potatoes in as well? they were certainly all well fed.

Gem, where does your GS hear about disasters? He certainly stores up a lot of knowledge.

Sunny here atm, I am going swimming with GD1 this afternoon and my GS3 (parents are away) has invited me to taste his Spag Bol this evening and he will go through some things I don't understand on my car. Do hope I remember afterwards. He is missing his GF she is away with friends but is coming to Cornwall with us in just over a weeks time. Kitten caught a shrew yesterday, he was very proud of himself, poor shrew.

                                Gosh how scary Enfys.
School holidays can be tiring for us grandparents Nana

This morning I must go and sort out my mother's banking.. grumble grumble. As I have power of attorney and getting mum to the bank is difficult I have done her banking for a few years. It means going into town or a big village several miles away. I persuaded her that online banking was the way to go, as it would be me doing it not her. I transfer money from her savings to current when she wants, and withdraw cash from her current with her card and take it to her. Now that is not good enough. She wants me to stop online banking. She wants her book updating by the bank and statements through the post. I print all these details off for her, but as I say, not good enough. As if I don't have enough to do. Grumble over
Later we are going to one of Oma's favourite places, Ikea!

                                Have a good day ladies.
