Beautiful start to the day. Forecast is for a scorcher today.
Friends of our came home from Benidorm yesterday,but they said it was too warm.
They wanted to go in April when we went,but she had her reconstructin operation that week.

I think we are going to Pontefract shopping today.

How is everyone one getting along with the World Cup ? OH’s enthusiasm for it has started to wane for it . At first he watched every game that was on but now he isn’t so bothered.

When my neighbour popped into our garden to use our outside tap, (she lives in top flat so we let her use our tap to save her walking up and down stairs to fetch water) I asked her could she water our plants, tubs and hanging baskets while we are away . Looking at our garden, back and front, it seems like a huge task to ask but she said that wouldn’t be a problem. It turns out she is going away from the Monday to the Friday and we go away on the Friday she comes back so that has worked out ok. While she is away I will feed her cats and water her garden so it’s a fair exchange of duties!

Washing in, golfer still sleeping. He must have been tired, he left my keys in the outside of the front door yesterday! I didn’t discover this until I needed to lock up last night. What a good job we live in a quiet road.
Nothing exciting planned this weekend, but I am sure I will find some amusement.

Mimi, I miss DD but am coping fine, especially as we are in touch a lot, and I hope to see her in September. The cats and watering arrangement with your neighbour should work very well. My OH has half left an A4 sheet of watering instruction for garden and greenhouse for our catsitters

Today is packing, cleaning, going to see mum, etc. We will have fish and chips for tea. I also need to sort some baby and child photos of DD2 and send then to her dad for the video he will make, as they live too far away for us to have time to go over there today.
We want to leave home at 9 tomorrow morning, so don't want to leave anything to do in the morning apart from feeding cats, getting ourselves ready and getting our stuff into the car.

My OH is watching slightly less football, but he has been busy with other things. He even watched Gardener's World with me last night instead of watching footy on the other tv! (He hates gardening!)

Gem, you sound very well organised, but there is always stuff to do immediately before you go away. I hope your mum will be ok. Don't wear yourself out doing too much.

Morning all a very hot morning took the dogs out early but still very warm. Shiloh had a good cool down in the stream . Bedding on line, and another lot to go yet. I am sure there are dirty washing gremlins who put it in the basket overnight. 😀 Hubs is on his way home, hoping for no more electrical disasters today. Thats a new washing machine 2 months ago and now a new TV needed.Plant well done to your DD. Gem have a fab holiday. One bonus I suppose the OH can't watch footie- shame that 😚 He can watch it on the small telly, but he'd rather not. Hope Mr Enyfs is okay today after his chemo. Making spag bol for dinner nice and easy. Enjoy the sunshine folks whatever your up to this weekend. ❤
