Ooh Plant I might have forgotten to wish you happy birthday, apologies. Daisy we are RHS members but haven’t been to Wisley for a while. Gem when I was on the horrid secondment there was a person seconded from Betty’s in Harrogate and she was surprised when I knew about Betty’s but of course I knew because of all of you. The next time we had a big meet up on the secondment I nagged her into bringing some cakes for the select few!!! They were lovely.

The mirror and fire are up, hope you can see them, ignore the peripheral bits, we are just waiting to get rid of the other stuff and the new things to arrive. You are right ladies I shouldn’t add up what has been spent on the rooms but I don’t mind adding up Christmas as I generally start early and go in search of bargains i.e. I bought the two older boys fleece jackets for £30 in the Debenhams sale plus my card holder discount and they should have been £70. I have also got various other gifts. I never buy full price for Christmas so I write it all down on an excel sheet with a calculation formula so I know how much I have spent, how much I have saved and what the real cost would be - I know what a pedantic faff I am!!

Evening all I have been out most of the day, left my ipad on charge only to find I hadn’t put the switch down, don’t you just hate it when that happens.

OH got his CT done don’t expect to hear anything for a couple of weeks, went for lunch in a nice restaurant hoping for Sunday lunch but what I saw being delivered to tables was not a patch on mine and at £20 per head decided on a burger lol, nothing to shout about the glass of red wine was the best, so all in all 2 burgers, and fries, glass of wine and a coke £38!

Did a a bit of Xmas shopping, just bits really was looking for DD a dressing gown but the one I liked didn’t have her size so will have to order online.

Avo hope it’s as warm in the Canaries when we go 🌞 Nan2 don’t use up all the sun save me some !

I don’t see the point in adding up what you’ve spent, you’ve bought it, it’s enhanced your life move on Zizi lol 🙂

I have not left my bed yet, so I haven't felt the cold. The sun is shining now though, so that will raise the temperature a bit.
We have a Tesco delivery coming late afternoon. Before that I must go to the library then go to see my mum. I also want to prepare the house for Halloween!

Good Monday morning, Ladies! Gem - good graphic, getting ready for Halloween?

It's bright and sunny here - but there has been quite a heavy frost over night. At least the car will have defrosted before I have to go to fetch GD2!

Zizi - your new sitting room is looking lovely. Look forward to seeing the finishing touches. We haven't been to Wisley for a while, but I do love it. It put us off a bit when the tunnel through the Devil's Punch Bowl on the A3 was being built (although there are back roads round it) but we really must take a day out there soon.

Oma - poor Storm. I hope he's ok - he'll definitely enjoy the pampering.

Qwerty - that sounds expensive for what you had! I hope the CT scans bring good news. xx

Avo - what a lovely long holiday and getting the sun at this time of year sets you up a bit for the winter, doesn't it!

I need to go out earlier today to go into town to get a birthday present nedded for tomorrow! I knew I shouldn't have left it till the last minute but this friend (male) is difficult to buy for - but so are most men!

After a non-day yesterday, woke up to a spinning room .....and I'd only had one glass of wine on Saturday! Coughed and spluttered the rest of the day and the room finally stopped spinning. So most of day was spent in bed! Today I'm coughing well says OH, but the sun is shining, the carpet's being cleaned and we spoke to DS last night so all's well in my world.Roast pork tonight for dinner as I didn't feel like cooking or eating.

Lovely and sunny here, woke up far too early. Going shopping with GD1 later this morning, might look for some Chr.........as gifts or get some ideas. I need to look for a 30th Birthday present for my GS1, can't believe he is going to be 30. Have a lovely day everyone, hope you all manage to pop into Grannys Rest to see the Halloween decorations Gemini has put up.
