    Good morning my dears

Nana, good to hear the hair was a success! I have just coloured mine, so I look more human

    That's a pretty picture Nan2

I hope your friend is OK Oma.

Qwerty, enjoy your time with the little ones. Mmm, Sunday roast, what a nice idea, not had one of those for ages!

This afternoon DD2 and I are going to the central library, to hear 2 authors talk. One is Rachel Abbot, who we both love. I think Enfys reads her books too.
Before that we are meeting for afternoon-tea-for-lunch. DD's treat

Last chance to talk about CHRISTMAS everyone. I bought a present the other day, and I see Tesco has the usual, ever shrinking tubs of Quality St etc in

Good morning ladies, hope the sun is shinning where you are.
OH has just had to rush in as he was in the middle of cutting the hedge when it started to rain. Looks like we are in for a wet and windy weekend
Qwerty enjoy your time with your GC and tomorrow when you have Sunday lunch

I hoped to do a lot today but clearing up after breakfast I just put my foot on the pedal of the bin to pop a clean liner in it, bent forward and my stupid back went , just like that ! I cant believe what a week I have had, just as my mouth returns to normal this happens !

Gemini thinking of the up and coming festive season I noticed that Toys are Us have a few offers on , I must have a look on their web site later and see if I can get something for the two youngest GC .

Hope you all have a lovely day
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Well spent 5 hours in A&E picked our friend up from drop in centre at 9 .15 took them down to Hospital. Drop in centre wanted to send him in by Ambulance but he wasn't having that , turns out he has Kidney stones , 2 large ones in his Kidney and 3 smaller ones in his Ureter they are hoping he can pass those, Gave him strong pain killers and the pain has eased , wanted to keep him in for a few days to monitor him but he wanted to come home , let him as long as he goes back if pain gets worse , it probably will with Kidney stones so told them any time day or night to ring us we can get him there quicker than an Ambulance , ( These are our SIL's parents who take me up and down to Hospital all the time ) so if we can pay them back for all their kindness we will .
Kidney stones are very painful poor man .

Oma, kidney stones are one of the most painful things you can have.
Didn't go to visit friends, he rang to say his wife had gone into town, and wouldn't be back until 2 ish.
We had arranged with other friends to go for something to eat.
Will have to make it some other time.
Sun is shining now, but we had a storm at 1 o'clock.

Hope everyone is having a good day.
Oma I hope your friend doesn't have too much more pain but fear he might.
We had a cliff walk this morning in the blustery sunshine. I'd just made my mind up to do some gardening when we had the most terrific storm. Of course it's sunny now but the garden is soaking.I want to plant the bulbs I bought the other day but they can wait a bit longer.I will have to clear out borders a bit first anyway.I'm going to put tulips in a couple of pots but I know you don't plant them too early or something dastardly (I can't remember what exactly) might happen to them.

OH has had kidney stones twice and it can be extremely painful, it our experience it hasn't been something that will simply go away without very strong pain killers . OH spent several days in hospital on both occasions.and each time he had to have the stones broken down by shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL). Even when he came home from hospital he had to drink enormous amounts of water to make sure all remaining deposits of the stones were out of his system. Unfortunately kidney stones won't disappear over night so I hope your friend doesn't have to go back into hospital and he can pass the stones himself.

Mimi, sounds like your OH was in a lot of pain, i know it's one of the worst pains there is.

Sun is shining,so onwards and upwards, hope you all have a good day.

                  Good morning everyone

I too have heard that kidney stones are very, very painful. A friend of mine has them and from time to time passes, them which sounds horrendous.
I hope your friend is feeling much better today Oma.

A new Aldi store has opened not far from where we live (closer than the existing Aldi) we are going today. We know how to live. We went to a table top sale in the village yesterday morning. Living the High Life
I fancy a roast dinner today, so I think it will be chicken.

I think Daisy is travelling home today, so safe journey to them.

Morning Nanto and everyone. Overcast here. Nothing planned except our usual walk unless it decides to pour with rain.

Yes safe and dry journey for Daisy and OH today.

Get-together at DS and DIL's today for lunch. GS is off to B'ham Uni on Sat. so they thought it would be nice to get-together before he goes. Had lunch with family next door yesterday, GS came with baby, his partner had friends visiting so he took charge of baby so that she could have free time. He is a very hands on dad but I think most dads are these days. GGS was his usual gorgeous self, very relaxed and smiley, I think when there are so many of us around he gets a bit overstimulated, but there were only the two GGM's and GP's yesterday.

Hope you all see some sunshine today

DIL rang me yesterday to say that she has booked a spa day for me as a birthday surprise. She wasn't going to tell me till much closer to the date but the treatment package has to be chosen and booked a few weeks in advance . We go at the end of the month, unfortunately DD can't come as she can't get time off work, even though we will be almost on her doorstep in Cardiff but my niece , who also lives in Cardiff is joining us. Looking forward to it even though I now have to go and buy suitable swim wear to wear under my robe !

Oma B must have had a horrible time , kidney stones and chemo ,no wonder he wasn't well .

Gem I used to shop at Aldi and although the prices are great sometimes , by the time I got there what I wanted had sold out, because of the low prices I suppose , you have to be there early to grab the bargains. I now shop on line with Tesco and although the prices are a little higher on some items the convenience to me out weighs the prices .

It is rumoured here that our Debenhams is going to close at the beginning of October . It has only been opened a few years , it was supposed to be the 'flag ship' of the newly built shopping devolvement . If that closes all of us over 50s will only have M and S is shop in . We have shops like Primark and New Look but some of their clothes are not suitable . They tend to stock trousers and skits to women who still have definable waists . Mine is lost some where between my boobs and hips .

We are having roast chicken today which wasn't the best of ideas as my back is still bad and I think a bowl of soup would have been a much easier option .

                          Have a lovely day ladies

Ooh a spa day, how lovely Mimi, but a pity your DD can't join you, especially as she is so close! I'm sure you will have a lovely day all the same

Most of our shopping is from Tesco, and we have an online delivery every month. We love a browse round Aldi from time to time though!
