What a busy lot you are, I don't know how you manage all that childcare Daisy.

Safe journey Zizi, hope you get the upgrade.

Pleased to hear Qwerty is having a good time in the sun.

Just been to Waitrose to pick up the last Christmas present, going to sit down with a cuppa and a biscuit and read the paper.

Just been for lunch and now waiting at hotel for taxi to the airport. Husband just checked and our flight is delayed and not due into Gatwick until 8.15am tomorrow. That means we will be on the M25 in rush hour traffic and won’t get home until quite a lot later. Not the biggest problem in the world except I beggared up the dates and am supposed to be working tomorrow and on a call at 11am. Might have to email line manager and make apologies.

Has been raining here but nice warm rain and we walked back from lunch in it. Good job I had swimming costume under tee shirt or it would have looked like a wet tee shirt competition 😲😲

You don't want a meeting as soon as you get back anyway Zizi, definitely contact your line manager!

Slight change of plan this afternoon as GS wanted us to come back here. Most unusual as he generally prefers us to stay there. The complete opposite of GD who is always very disappointed when I have to look after them at their house instead of here! I didn't mind him coming here at all, in fact it suits me better in winter as I don't have to do the long drive back in the dark.
A friend called in to see us on her way home from work tonight, so a lot going on today!

Zizi - it's not fun on the M25 at any time, but definitely not in the rush hour. As Gem says, you don't want to be thrown straight into work the minute you walk through the door.

Gem - it's lovely when you expect to be doing a long drive in the dark and then don't have to!

Mimi - well don on getting most of your shopping done, and Plant on collecting your last Christmas present. I must start sometime soon - I've now got 2 free days, and then we're out for coffee and lunch on Friday - our first Christmas lunch of the year!!

Just back from dog training and I don't know who's more shattered, me or Eva. There were 7 dogs there tonight (last week there were only 4) and she has to concentrate so much harder, but after the initial shock she did very well. I've got just enough energy left to crawl into bed. Night, night, everyone. Sleep well.

Morning all , it seems to be very cold out judging by the cold draft that came through the cat flap as the cat went through it as I happened to be standing next to it.
I plan to have a very exciting day sorting out the kitchen cupboard so that I can make room for all the Christmas goodies that seem to accumulate this time of year.

Keep warm arm and have a nice Wednesday everyone

Good morning, Nanto, Mimi and everyone. It's cold here and we've had frost. Not as bad as I thought it would be, but more than enough! I'm glad I haven't got to rush out anywhere today. Zizi will need all her layers when she gets back this morning.

Nanto - poor you, you must be really fed up not sleeping. Have you got time for a Nana nap after lunch?

OH's wood turning buddies are coming here today, so I'm going to make them a big vat of soup - it will be chilly in the shed .... ooops, sorry ...... workshop!! After that, I think bliss would be to light the woodburner and settle down with a good book for the afternoon. I need a day off after the last two really hectic ones!

I've only just read that Qwerty is having a lovely time - I'm really pleased - she did need a break.

I hope everyone else is keeping warm.

Nanto I’m sure you are getting fed up with bad nights. It must be awful.I’m sorry you’re not getting enough sleep.

Daisy I hope you and Eva had a deserved good night.I hope you enjoy your free days not having to chase around

Mimi I should be sorting out my freezer ready for the Christmas food but it’s just too cold at the moment.

Have a good day ladies and keep warm.

Thank you, Clover. I don't like to say Eva and I both slept like logs, because I know there are some ladies here who would love a good night's sleep. I went to bed with a hot blackcurrent (no alcohol!) and 2 Paracetamol for the aches and pains and woke up about 7 am. I really was tired last night, though.

Clover - you've just reminded me that I've got to defrost and sort out our freezers before the dog food comes on Saturday, otherwise I'll never be able to find anything!

                      Good morning everyone.
Wet here, so not freezing this morning, and the sun is now peeping thorough. Maybe it has warmed up where you are now Mimi!

Nan2, I'm sorry you had another bad night, I wish you a good one tonight.
                      Daisy, you needed that sleep!

It is a week of changes around here, after GS1 wanting to come back here after school yesterday. I was to have GS2 and GD today instead of Friday, as DD is working away so would prefer to be with them on Friday once she's back. GD is now invited to her friends for tea tonight, so I'm not picking her up. So, GS2 from nursery at 1, then back here, and no school run to do.
Tonight OH and I are going to see Paddington2 as a friend gave is some cinema vouchers which expire on 30th and she can't use.
Bank and library this morning, and maybe do the Agenda for the next meeting,

                      Have a good Wednesday everyone

Everyone seems to be so busy at the moment don't they, heres hoping all those nanas with sleeping problems manage to get a few good hours rest.I am still up and down with bladder problems again but am managing.
This week we are bringing down the decorations from the loft and getting stuck into what we are putting up or putting back in the loft, yesterday we went to a very posh garden centre not far from here to buy a living Christmas tree to plant in the front of the bungalow we found some lovely Norwegian Blue Firs at 5ft then looked at the price !! £65.00 wow,I really wanted one as we always had one outside our family house which we hung with lights etc and it looked spectacular when lite up however we carried on to Homebase and found the exact same tree at 6ft same label and supplier for £39.00 there was no contest to say the least also got gold baubles made into a garland wreath for £5.00 we had a good day in the end we finished off with an early tea at The Viking in West Kirby which is the new restaurant opened by Simon Rimmer we only had lite bites but enjoyable.
The sun is shining here to-day and I am going to try and get to Liverpool for some baby shopping for DS1s new baby expected in May next year JLewis do a nice range of organic cotton baby vests and babygro's all with big discounts at the moment and I've been told to look for the pram they have ordered what my opinion would make I don't know but I must make sure I find it as she will be sure to ask me about it at some point.
OH has gone off to B&Q to get some tree food and is going to do the ceremonial planting of said tree this afternoon so I am keeping out of the way,he has just gone off with Oliver for him to have his booster and checkup at the vets the vet will be amazed how big he has become over the past 6 mths.
Enjoy the rest of the day ladies xxx

Daisy, i won't have a nana nap, that would definatley cause me a bad night.

I’ve spent two hours wrapping Christmas presents this morning! Wood burner nicely glowing, couple of lamb shanks in the slow cooker..... off to do a bit more shopping after lunch! Got the gs’s Tomorrow so won’t get much done then!

Well we got home at 11.30am. The flight left eventually (yes we did get club thank you very much BA) BUT I do not sleep well at all on planes so I spent most of the night reading a book on my phone. We got to Gatwick and the National Express bus was running late and we stood in the freezing cold for half an hour before it came. On the way tried to turn the Nest on but it wouldn’t work and when we got home we realised why. Power cut. So it is freezing in here even though the central heating has been on for an hour and a half. The clocks on the two ovens have to be reset which I only did a couple of weeks ago and of course I cannot remember how I did it, the internet router needed resetting as did the TV. My body says get in a big bubbly bath but I don’t want to take my clothes off unless the flat is warm!

I texted my line manager from Gatwick to let her know how late we were and she agreed to reschedule to late today but when I got home I called her and we agreed I would take today off.

Got to bung some washing in the machine so hope it will dry tomorrow. I had forgotten how pretty my sitting room looks now even though it is not finished. Yesterday on the way back from lunch we popped into a very nice shop as there was a huge gold fig leaf plate in the window which we both thought would look good in the sitting room. We very quickly popped back out when we found out how much it was but there was free delivery anywhere in the world as they pointed out, errrrr mmmmmm nah £1,350 even with free delivery is rather beyond us...........
