Well that was a lovely meal with the friendliest waitress. We would recommend that pub to anyone. OH had mussels which she declared delicious. I had wild boar casserole with herb dumpling. Both meals came with a tiny warm loaf of homemade bread. A treat for me, as I can't eat beef, so can rarely have a meal like that when eating out It rained lightly on our walk home, but we had the umbrella!
Tomorrow we will set off back after breakfast as OH is in a golf competition late morning
So, I will catch up with you all again once I am home.

Went to put the bin out earlier, but couldn't understand why none of the neighbours had got theirs out. Some put their bins out the night before collection.
Then i realised,it's Tuesday,bin day is on a Wednesday.

He is awaiting his A level results, he wants to go to Birmingham University but needs good grades, he should do it, fingers crossed for Thursday

my iPad is playing up, so this may end up as gobbledegook, or worse!

Plant I always used to spend this week of the in nervous anticipation of A Level results, and also knowing for me it was the end of the summer holidays. There was always some students who didn't get the grades and it would be a scramble to find suitable alternatives for them. Much easier now everything is online though. I do hope your GS gets his grades for Birmingham. Was that where your lovely Oh studied?

Oma you should have been in our house last night. Apparently there was a midnight feast Or big night feast as GD2 calls it. According to GD1 it lasted from 2 am to 4. Gs2 is still asleep, on the girls bedroom floor!!

Morning ladies sun is out , waiting for new oven , we bought one a few weeks ago but the clock timer stopped working , 3 times they made appointment to come fix it 3 times they cancelled said couldn't get the part, text again yesterday sorry cant come Tuesday again still no part, so B rang and said not good enough I want it replaced , no fuss just yes we will deliver new one tomorrow , coming between 2/3

Just spent about 15 mins shredding a big pile of documents we no longer need ,its amazing how these things pile up,

Hi everyone.
Oma, I couldn't sleep either, I was awake for hours, then of course deeply asleep when the alarm went off this morning! We needed to be off by 9.30 am, so needed the alarm.
Cat sitting lady (who is 77, but you would never guess!) has gone, OH is on the golf course, I will go over to see my mum a bit later.

Lov lynday here today. Had a nice walk across the park to get my haircut, coffee in the garden when I returned home...it was really quite hot 🌞. DH off to bowling soon and I'm going over to DD's to pick up Dexter the dog. Will also have a chat with GS about his news . A good day today.

Well things have come to a bit of a head here, we got through yesterday with G/d and Farmer Copleys a good day although pricey ,but OH wasn't well at all so today he went to docs and has been given steroids, antibiotics, inhaler the kids picked all the g/c up a couple of hrs earlier and we are having no children tomorrow as was previously arranged to have them, must get him better before he goes away next Monday, he suffers with depression at the best of times and did come off his pills a few yrs ago she's suggested he goes back on them so he has to make an appointment for that after hols. To be honest since he went this morning he looks better I think once you go to your doctor with a problem your problem is halved but it's getting them there, my dil picked the kids up early and brought us a gorgeous corned beef hash with trimmings and a double chocolate cake from Valerie Pattisserie , sometimes you lose track of family helping and we don't like letting people down but we have had our hands slapped for it today, so a quiet child free day tomorrow and hope the meds kick in soon , coffee in the garden at the moment

GS came and did some jobs for me and then showed me how to insert photos, hence the two posts above. Now will I remember the next time? He has written it all down.
