Your day makes me feel tired.

I have been on an on an outing today to Berkeley Castle in Gloucestershire,it was a lovely day out but my body is really tired with the walking. Weather was good, company was enjoyable but pleased to be in bed now.

What a busy day you had Daisy.
Your outing sounds lovely plant, even though you are tired now.

Sun is shining, but still a bit chilly.
Back round to see dad later.

Good morning, everyone. Nanto that OJ looks delicious. I do hope your FiL is feeling better today. I wonder if he just overdid things with all the excitement of his birthday. Give him a Granny hug from us.

Plant - what a lovely day out, but I bet you slept well after all that walking and fresh air. Iit's the right sort of tiredness, if that makes sense.

Oma - perhaps your MiL is learning - or perhaps it was just a one off. Either way, it's a good job you can laugh it off. I hope B gets a good report from his Hep Doctor. Is there any chance Storm will be sleepy after half a day at doggy day care? I bet not. It's good to hear your niece is looking so much better. I hope she is getting plenty of pain relief.

OH is painting the kitchen today, and the sun is shining, so I'm going to pot on lots of veggies in the greenhouse - a nice relaxed job which I enjoy.

            Good morning everyone.

Daisy, you deserve a relaxed job after the last couple of days!
Let us know how FIL is today Nan2.
Only 2 insults Oma, LOL! I'm glad to hear your niece is improving.
I hope Mr Qwerty is getting better.

GS1 day today instead of my usual Monday as they came back from Centerparcs on Monday. Today is his 4pm swimming class. I will collect him from preschool and take him to his house, then take him to swimming. Apparently after helping him change I just go and have coffee then come back to the changing room for him.

I have a very quiet day today, slept well. Dr's appt this morning, get car cleaned, and pop into M&S Food Hall for some milk but will probably come out with more than that.

Plant you will never just come out with milk 😁
All well with Hep Dr readings very low with luck by end of year he will be clear ,
Daisy MIL has no filter she just comes out with things regardless if she upsets anyone or not , we used to her but when she's rude to a stranger it's so embarrassing , yesterday I had my hair hanging and it's now in the middle of my back , firstly she said ,oh I didn't realise it was so long I like it down , then finished with ,when you tie it up your face looks Fat 😀 so I said we'll it goes with my thick skin , she didn't get what I was saying though 😀.
Then she didn't like my socks I was far to old for white socks !!! She wouldn't wear them , I said I don't like your shoes so that's us even but as I'm the one wearing them I don't care what you or anyone else thinks , she changed the subject then 😊😊😊
My two SIL, s both rang to see how it went as they know what she's like and both were amazed I only got 2 insults hahaha

                  Beautiful sunny warm day today.
Oma, only 2 insults, her standards are slipping.
Gem, hope you are feeling a bit less sore.

Dad was a bit perkier this morning. he ate a full slice of toast with 2 cups of tea. He still doesn't want to get out of bed,
which is a bit of a concern at his age.
Rang the surgery, to express our concerns to the doctor. He agreed it's not good for him to be spending so much time in bed.
Doctor is going to arrange for a district nurse to come and take full blood tests, hoping she comes before the weekend.
Mam, just rang and said he has eaten some mashed potatoes, and drunk a full glass of water.

Nan2, it's good to hear your dad is a little more perky, perhaps he feels nervous about getting out of bed maybe he just needs a little coaxing. Maybe suggest he just gets out to sit in a chair for a while and see how he feels then.

We had a busy few days and tomorrow will be even busier, the bedroom will be decorated come hell or high water !!
I've brought some new curtains and duvet covers. I didn't want to pay a lot for the them as they will basically be just for 'dressing ' up the window as we have blinds and I rarely close the curtains, they are just hung in sways with curtain tie backs. All the curtains that I liked started at £50 + but I found exactly what I wanted on the Amazon site . Last one it said hence the bargain price was £65 , reduced to .....£9.99 ......What a bargain ! The only thing is they are a little longer than I would normally use but at that price I am prepared to compromise. Also they don't come with matching tie backs but never fear I found some very pretty beaded tie backs for £3. What a find !!
Hope everyone is well, if you don't see me for a day or two you know where I will be
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

You got a bargain there Mimi.
Left dad with tea and toast last night. Sat up in bed watching tv.
He will have to sit in a chair this morning, because i want to change his bedding this morning, and get it washed.
I have known him for nearly 50 years, and i know he has been really ill.

                              Good morning, Nanto and everyone.

Nanto - it sounds as though your FiL is starting to get his appetite back. It's difficult because he's not moving about much he's not getting hungry and I think you get to the stage where you just can't be bothered to eat, so if he's eating a bit more and taking fluids it's good news. You're a very good daughter-in-law - I'm sure they both appreciate how much you do for them.

Mimi - you are a glutton for punishment. Don't overdo the painting. You certainly got a bargain with the curtains, etc.

Oma - I'd love to see you in action when your MIL starts hurling the insults around! It's good to hear that B's hep readings were lower. xx

Plant - did you find yourself staggering out of M&S Food with bags full of goodies?

My OH is plodding on with the kitchen - he's nearly finished the awkward bits round the wall cupboards and windows, then he needs to do the gloss and finally the wall with no cupboards on it which will be the easiest. Oh dear, then I will have to start cooking again!!! The electrician is coming today to wire up the new lights in both rooms, and a friend is coming to help OH replace the utility room taps which are leaking black gunge! So no electricity or water downstairs this morning at least. I shall carry on potting on plants from the greenhouse.

                              Have a good day everyone.

                                Good morning all.
The day went well yesterday. I got GS to swimming on time, well early, as I wasn't sure where it was and I didn't want to get lost! He played happily in the changing rooms and was a good boy in his class. The only blot on the landscape was when we came out of the sports centre. Argos is next door and GS decided I should buy him a toy! I said it wasn't a day for a toy and besides I didn't have any money. He told me I could use my card! I said I didn't have it and then he said we should go to my house (many miles away ) and get it! He was getting angry and I reminded him that children are most likely to get toys when they are not asking for them, and not being naughty! he changed his tack then saying 'Don't worry Grandma, I'll ask mummy to come back to Argos when she gets home'!

Just when we thought we had seen the back of Leeds we are heading there this morning, back to the hospital. 2 patches on my breast are extremely sore and raw. The dressings prescribed by the GP surgery were too small. I feel happier to be going there to be seen by the experts, who will give me a supply of dresssings

Usual Thursday with mum this afternoon and OH is going to tackle mums garden.
