It's been a glorious day here. OH is currently mowing the lawns .
This morning I went to the phone shop and I waited, and I waited to be served. It was so busy in there. When you have nothing to do but stand and wait you can't help but hear other customers conversations. One lady was complaining that her monthly phone bill was unusually high. It was discovered that she had been receiving calls from the Seychelles. She was adamant that she hadn't rung them . It took some explaining that it was a scam and as soon as she answered her phone she was charged. She asked if they would waver the charge but they declined.
Anyway I have sorted out my upgrade, I haven't taken a new phone as the sort that are similar to mine are far to expensive so I be kept my 'old' phone and gone for a sim only contract which is over half of what I am paying at the mo.
I didn't get around to cleaning the windows but there is always tomorrow........πŸ˜‰

Mimi - tomorrow will be far too nice to be cleaning windows! LOL Poor lady getting scammed with her phone. Glad you've got a good deal on yours - at least you won't have to spend hours finding your way round a new one.

LG - I love California Poppies.

Nanto - hello, nice to see you. I hope 'warm' isn't too warm for you, and you are having a lovely holiday.

Clover - I hope you weren't distracted by the windows.

Plant, yes we did enjoy our walk today. Eva was very good until she saw two little dogs in the distance. I was glad I'd got her head collar on so she didn't pull too hard! The roofers have finished the windows, so now it's just waiting for the plasterer, which is going to be after Easter, booo-hooo! But at least I've got a good excuse not to do too much cleaning between now and then.

What a lovely day today, I had nothing planned then had a phone call from DIL inviting me to have lunch out with her lads, the youngest was 16 today He chose an eatery in town so a bit of shopping followed and I got my ears repierced. Both the boys have important exams coming up, eldest nearly 18 has applied to Birmingham University and the youngest 16 is hoping to go to an engineering college, so parents are a bit stressed with both boys revising, keeping them focused.

Plant - what a lovely surprise - and well done to you on getting your ears pierced. I hope you get lots of nice earrings for birthdays and Chri .....well - you know when!

It's really stressful when two youngsters are in the throes of 'big' exams. It's not something you think about when planning a family, is it! I hope they both get the grades for their next exciting steps.

Well, I've nearly caught up. Daisy when I get onto this site I look to see if I've got any messages first & work my way through them. Then I go to Forums ...new topics & read those. Chat has been missing for some unknown reason but it's obviously on here today. I still have some catching up to do.

Enjoyed pottering in the garden today. Good to feel the sun on my face. We have two robins in our garden & one was curious enough to come really close. Such a vibrant red breast. Making my GS1's birthday NERF cake tomoro for his b-day on Sunday. Guess what theme his party is? Yes, NERF combat party.😱

(I'm still an hour behind on here).😩

Good Friday morning, ladies. Hopefully we will all get to bask in sunshine today.

I have ambitious plans for today. Early walk with Eva, followed by planting first row of potatoes in the allotment followed by a lift of jobs in the garden, followed by cleaning up the dust from the new windows being put in.

On second thoughts, the list has exhausted me and I might just go back to bed for a couple of hours.

Nana - I'm glad you Chatbox has returned. It was perhaps just low enough down on your New Topics list to have gone on to page 2. I've changed your GRU clock for you.

                    Good morning all.
We had a lovely time at GS1's first birthday

Busy day for me. Window men are here putting new doors between our dining room and conservatory, to replace the old sliding patio doors with something a little nicer. Not a good day for it, as I have baby GS all day, and his room is directly above the dining room. We will be heading over to Leeds every weekday until May from Monday though, and as we have been waiting for this job to be done for a while, we went with today. I hope to get the baby to have his morning nap in his buggy by taking him for a walk! GD leaves school and hour early today, so GS and I will go for her early afternoon.
Library meeting at 7, so lot's going on for me today. Catch you all tonight!

Gem - what a busy day for you. I'm sure GS1 will be tired after all the excitement of his birthday yesterday. It makes such a difference updating something like doors or windows, so I'm sure you will be really pleased with the result. Also, you should probably be taking it easy during treatment, even if it doesn't leave you feeling washed out. I bet GD is looking forward to the Easter hols. My GD1 is so tired this week - it's been a long term for her.

Oma - poor old you. No wonder you feel bruised and battered. Plenty of rest is definitely what you need, and I'm sure you will feel a bit better after something to eat. Lucky Storm, getting scrambled eggs - was this his breakfast? xxx

Hope your migraine has eased Oma, my Mother used to get them badly as well. She used to lie on her bed with the curtains drawn, I think hers started with the menopause. Well its a fabulous day not a cloud in the sky, I have planted some more cottage garden seeds in a tray and left in the greenhouse to do their thing.

Oma - we thought we spoiled Eva - but honestly, Storm has got it all sewn up hasn't he!!!

My DIL2 gets migraines as well - not as many as she used to have, but it can take her 3 days to recover and it's totally horrendous for her.
